The south American side is one of the countries of the world that is blessed with an abundance of talents in soccer, even if their already known striker will not be available, there will lots of other people and younger talents to select from.

Looking at the poll and seeing that the United States is not one of the teams that people expect to win the world cup means that we are really underrated. In the world cup, we are in the same group with Wales, England and Iran, and if we can play as a team, we can go past the group stages as the most challenging game looks most likely to be England. Even with the low chances we have at winning the world cup, I expect us to go past the group stages into the other round of the competition.

Nice to see US fan here.
1994 edition was the first World Cup that I watched, and was in US, I remember Brazil played against US on Round of 16
It was a great team but unfortunately a game against the champion Brazil messed with their plans, maybe you guys could reach easily a semi final.
I remember some good players of 1994 like Alexi Lalas, Marcelo Balboa, Cobi Jones and Tony Meola.

After Brazil, my second favorite squad is US, and I hope one day they will be the champion and soccer will be more popular on US.

This is probably the line-up to start World Cup

It's good that some US players are playing in Europe and not only on Major League, this gives more experience, and the last curiousity here: Tim Weah is son of the legendary player of PSG George Weah, awesome  Shocked

Speaking of USA, I like some of the stars from the USA squad, London Donovan, Clint Dempsey and one of his legendary goalkeepers Tim Horward. however, now they have retired from the world of football. to be honest we very rarely discuss the US here, maybe because it is not one of the top teams that will win this championship.

without intending to belittle, all participants who will appear in the world cup later have prepared everything in order to play optimally. but again I must say, without intending to underestimate the team from your country.

US chances to win this championship seems to be far from expectations. if we look at the group occupied by US, US chances to qualify from this group stage is not easy. there was England there was also Wales, but Iran seems to be our exception here. at least the US must beat Wales if they want to qualify with England to the next phase.

The Brazilian team is well prepared. All the players in their team are playing in good clubs. They are well prepared for the World Cup. Also, players like Neymar are the captain of the Brazil team which will instill confidence in their team.
You have observed well about the Brazilian team, they are indeed ready for the world cup based on what I have seen in their last matches. But I like to let you know that Neymar will not do more than himself, and I don't even like singling out star players only, it is all about the collective contributions of the team in question. He will do his best as their captain, it is left to their fate on the pitch as no club would deliberately want to lose. His motivation will not kill the morale of other teams like Germany, England and Spain which I will choose multiple times over Brazil.

My bet is also between Brazil and Argentina.
I believe that Brazil has a better chance of winning the world cup, because even without a team of great stars (let's face it, Neymar is not doing so well), it's a young team that has actually played very well (undefeated). in all the qualifiers and friendlies in which he participated.
In any case, I see that France is also a team with a lot of potential to reach the final.... let's watch carefully.
@alegotardo Brazil has many important player’s like Casemiro, Anthony, Fred and currently they’re all playing for the same club which will further strengthen their bond heading in to the World Cup. Furthermore while Messi will want to win it and retire in style, but I personally feel that Argentina will just fall short and miss winning it and I’ll say it again that if Brazil fails to win then it’ll be really disappointing for millions of fan's who’re sincerely hoping that they win the World Cup.
Now we have less than five weeks and things are going to be more interesting and concerns are also growing more as many players are joining injured players list specially recently we have few big names from Argentina which is surely going to be big concern for them and their title hopes just because of this all right now predicting about any team is not easy because clubs are also doing their best for better results and just because of these injuries are happening and things are going in wrong way for many teams.

Currently, Brazil is having better time with their performance and quality which is surely giving them good advantage and if they are able to stay in this momentum then surely they are going to be at the top, and we will watch another big title for them which is surely possible in current situation which is clearly favoring them in Qatar.
The Brazilian team is well prepared. All the players in their team are playing in good clubs. They are well prepared for the World Cup. Also, players like Neymar are the captain of the Brazil team which will instill confidence in their team.

Of course, Argentina will always be a frightening specter for the Brazilian team, because Argentina has players who are more confident, and indeed these two countries have teams that are really not underestimated, because Argentina was previously humiliated in the Final when they met with Francis,  there is a possibility that it will be their motivation to win the title in the World Cup championship this year, if you look at the spearheads of the two teams, Argentina still has a promising spearhead than Brazil, and in addition to the presence of Messi, Martinez, Paulo Dybala, Di  Maria, etc., that's why I still have great faith in Argentina..

It is even the venue many people don't consider been okay, because Qatar is a strict country that do not accept some kind of way life. People are wondering how will they cope with a place where one can't freely do what you like. People thinks it won't be a place of fun to be.

It's not just due to the strictness in Qatar. A lot of people are uncomfortable with the discrimination against LGBTs and unmarried couples. But the vast majority just doesn't care. They are OK, as long as Qataris splash all their ill gotten wealth from the inflated LNG prices. Only a small minority has spoken out against the human rights violations in Qatar. Still we have almost a month to go for the world cup, and I am sure that at least some of the players and non-playing staff would voice their disagreement.
It is only a month plus, so if they speak out their disagreement too the venue can not be change again because the time frame is too close. so the people have to bear the strict laws and policies in Qatar. And also the LBGTs can lodge in hotels and have fun. And there are other benefits or entertainments and tourist centres people can still have fun. I believed FIFA is also aware on the strictness on Qatar before taken the world cup to that place. So they would have put things in order. Therefore, feel free to go and have fun.

that's a good point, weather in Qatar can play the difference there when UEFA teams face nations from Latin America, they are more used to the hot weather in certain places in their country, and UEFA teams can have some difficulties there, it's been a long time since Latin team won the world cup, i hope we can see it happen this time.

Given the latest heatwaves all around Europe I would say that it will be colder than expected for the UEFA teams in Qatar.

The weather is basically going to be in the mid to high twenties, which is quite pleasant compared to the 40+ degrees happening in Europe recently...

Also I wouldn't say weather in South America is necessarily hot for all the countries involved, for example, the southern parts of Argentina are basically next to Antarctica!

There is no denying that Brazil is a strong team. But the players of the Argentine team are very confident, they work hard during the game. With Messi now fully fit, Di Maria and Dybala will join the squad ahead of the World Cup matches, no worries. Besides, Argentina is probably 35 matches unbeaten so far.

Somewhere I read that although Argentina has won 35 matches on the trot, they never had an opponent from the UEFA. I don't know whether this is right. But they should not worry about the UEFA teams. None of the European teams are looking good at this point. Italy didn't even managed to qualify for the world cup, while England, Germany and France performed very poorly during the UEFA Nations League A. On top of that, I believe that the weather conditions in Qatar may favor the CONMEBOL teams more, when compared to the UEFA teams.

More recently, Argentina beat Estonia 5-0 in a friendly game, and before that, Italy was beaten 3-0 in Finalicima (another garbage crap from FIFA). So this unbeaten streak definitely includes games against European teams. Another thing is that all this does not guarantee anything, and one unsuccessful playoff game is enough to leave the World Cup ...

This year's World Cup in Qatar will be a huge success.
Many people are not happy with the timing of the world cup, and the venue too, i am not happy either but we have to take it as it is, i am also sure many people would not be travelling to Qatar to watch the world cup live because of they do not like the fact that Qatar is the one hosting it, but football fans would still hope for a successful tournament, if you ask for my opinion i don't care much about this year's world cup and i just hope the world stars that would be going to the world cup do not get injured because club competition resumes immediately after the world cup.
Even if  people like or dislike it due to the fact the Qatar is the host - their opinion doesn't matter
Qatar is a rich country and alot of people travel to Qatar to seek opporunites - so lets sit back and see the wonder Qatar has done for the world cup. This is the first islamic country to host football world cup its an honor for Qatar

The FIFA World Cup will be presented in Qatar from 20th November 2022. This World Cup will be enjoyed by all and will be inaugurated with a dance by Nora Fatehi and her classmates. This year's World Cup in Qatar will be a huge success. But everyone is invited to FIFA 2022 for everyone to enjoy.
I really can't wait to watch the World Cup. This year's World Cup in particular will be grand and historic. We all are confident about our favorite team, although I can't watch the game live in the stadium, but hopefully I won't miss a game virtually.
There is always a feeling of impatience when waiting for the World Cup to take place. Yes, that's because this is the highest event in world football that will bring together strong countries from each continent. Everyone will gather here and show who is the best among them. And also I look forward to players who will usually emerge as young talents who will be eyed by many big teams in prestigious leagues.

what or which European teams ?? weren't you watching how bad most of their best teams performed in the the nations league ?? a lot of them lost with humiliating results, on the other hand Brazil been winning almost every match, even friendlies with convincing wins as well, they weren't against big teams but European teams lost against some weak nations, i think it's easy to say that Brazil are better.

There is no doubt that at this point, Brazil is the strong favorite to win the world cup in Qatar. Almost all the European teams are in bad shape. England got relegated to League B of UEFA nations league after finishing at the last place in their group. Germany was in the same group, and they did slightly better by finishing at the 3rd place below Italy and Hungary. Belgium is another team that failed to perform, as they finished beneath Netherlands in Group 4. France avoided relegation, but they had just 5 points from 6 matches in Group 1.

I think you give too much importance to the league of nations and the results of some teams in that competition.
The main focus of all European national teams this year is the world cup, and all other matches are just preparation for that main and most important competition.

i'm just comparing them to Brazil, Brazil are playing friendlies but they still manage to win effortlessly, are they the only ones playing seriously in friendlies and just European teams are not ?? no, Brazil are winning almost every match they play including friendlies unlike European teams, that's all i'm saying, and with that i can say that they are better.
The Brazilian team has talented players who play very good football. As well as Brazilian team captain Neymar who is one of the best players in the world. But the World Cup games will be very competitive, for which Brazil will have to prepare harder.

It seems that Brazil will not participate in the strongest team at the World Cup, if this news is confirmed:
https://news.yahoo.com/injured-brazil-forward-richarlison-faces-144828736.html

Richarlison is a very important player of the Brazilian national team, a striker and it will be a big handicap for the Brazilian team if he will not be able to play in the World Cup due to injury.
In that case, I give a slight advantage to Argentina, but there are several very good teams at this world championship and small details will decide the final winner.
I personally think that Argentina was stronger at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and closer to the title, but we will see.
A very uncertain world championship awaits us, and apart from Brazil and Argentina, France, Germany, Spain and Belgium are also favourites.

Do you think that Argentina is in any better condition compared to Brazil? Messi and Di Maria are also injured, although their injuries are not very serious. Dybala suffered a muscle injury a few days back and there is a good chance that he may miss the world cup. Brazil still has an advantage as long as Neymar is 100% fit. Richarlison is a very important player and crucial to Brazil's fortunes, but hopefully they can find someone like Vinícius Júnior or Matheus Cunha in the forward to fill that vacuum.

Maybe losing Richarlison to injury will have a bit of an impact on Brazil, whatever the reason. however, it seems that Brazil has many strikers who shine brighter than Rocharlison. and losing it won't have much of an impact, IMO.
there is still Gabriel Jesus, Firmino or Neymar who can be positioned as a center forward. even some other strikers who are less bright have the same position as Richarliason, such as Predro and Matheus Cunha.

whatever it is, Tite has another option to change the formation pattern with 3 strikers or 2 strikers up front.
to be sure, Brazil has sufficient resources.

Speaking Argentina, I have to agree with you.
in the 2014 cup, they have a top shining star player. there is Higuain, Aguero, Lavezzi and of course Messi.
but of course, in this world cup it's different, although some of the stars don't shine as much as in 2014. however, now they have an extraordinary cohesiveness and we can see it from the statistics of 35 matches without defeat.
