Countdown to World Cup 2022... Messi, Di Maria, and Dybala have all picked up injuries in recent weeks, and the tournament is just 40 days away. It's just a mind game, so there's nothing to worry about. They are being prepared for the World Cup. They can't let it slip away this time. Taking precautions is all they're doing. It won't be worth it to risk not playing at the World Cup. This is still something I keep an eye on. In reality, Messi does not have an injury, but he has muscle fatigue, so he is not taking risks at the World Cup.

Angel Di Maria is the latest addition to the injury list. He suffered a muscle injury during the match between Juventus and Maccabi Haifa. Incidentally, this is the third time that Di Maria has suffered an injury this season. In case of Messi, the injury doesn't look too serious and he may be able to participate in the world cup (he suffered a calf injury while playing for Paris Saint Germain against Benfica). On the other hand, in case of Paulo Dybala the injury seems to be quite serious and for all practical reasons he is out of the world cup.

As reported by several media, Angel Di Maria will certainly be absent to defend his club for the next two weeks.
Reflecting on the track records of players suffering from hamstring injuries, the rest period can be quite long or at least one month. maybe before the Qatar world cup was held he had recovered from his injury, but the after effects of the injury might have an impact on his performance later.

besides that it has been confirmed that Paulo Dybala will miss the world cup later, his injury is quite severe. as has been claimed by Jose Mourinho, mentioning the injury experienced by Dybala is predicted to be out until the end of this year.
unfavorable fate for Argentina, if the two players have to completely miss the Qatar world cup.
despite having several names as his replacement, it would be very unprofitable if Argentina had to lose two players at once, especially Angel Di Maria.

However, it is expected that Messi, Dybala will recover quickly and return to the field before the World Cup match. Although the Brazil team is strong, the Argentina team is more prepared humanly. Which we saw in the Copa America final. Hope Brazil meet Argentina again and prove their worth.

Argentina is in group C and Brazil in group G.

Both teams qualified without losing a single match.

That means that if they continue winning all their matches, they will meet at the final. That would be epic.

No. The injury of Paulo Dybala is serious and the expectations is he cannot make it into World Cup. Sad news for my Argentina. Fortunately, Argentina have good forwards available. This is the last World Cup of Messi. This will be very memorable for him. I wish he can finally win to further solidify his status as the greatest player ever.

Argentina and Brazil can sweep their groups but it means both nations will face each other afterwards in the semi-finals and not the finals that we fancy.

If you only consider the Argentine team's motivation, I believe they have a great chance of winning this world cup, because in addition to being Messi's last cup, Argentina is also quite confident that they can beat Brazil, as they have already that by winning the Copa America, could they not do it again in the World Cup?
I, being Brazilian, believe that Argentina will not win this World Cup, if not Brazil, it could be any other country, except Argentina! Cheesy

It's legal for every supporter, especially if Brazil is the national team squad from your country. as we agreed, both Brazil and Argentina are strong candidates to win the championship in this year's world cup. Brazil has a big chance, Argentina also has it.

I even hope the two will meet in the finals later. like when Brazil and Argentina fight for the Copa America in 2021, of course it is very interesting for me as a football lover.
I believe, if that scenario happened, the whole world community would focus their attention on this fight. however, this is just an expectation and nothing more.
Both Argentina and Brazil are in good form. But Argentina is more prepared in human terms. Because they are unbeaten in last 35 matches and two tournament champions. Which will give them hope to do well in the World Cup. But Brazil has a bunch of young footballers capable of leading the team to the finals.
Argentina are not really that ready, Brazilian players are doing way better, also Messi got injured recently, so it could affect his performance after, without forgetting the injury of Dybala as well, i think the world cup is highly in favor of Brazil, their players are doing way better than any other nation.

That's insane, one out of nine people in the world watched the 2006 World Cup Final. Italy won that time, and it's now not even qualified for Qatar!
It's a shame why a strong team like Italy couldn't qualify for the World Cup this time. And it seems that Italy lost to North Macedonia which made it fail and did not qualify for the World Cup ticket. But at this World Cup I think it will be very lively. because everyone had been waiting for it. and even many star players who will play for the last time in the world cup.

@Ahli38 the blame lie's on Italy’s coach and their player’s because they simply failed to step up and deliver, and even when there was a second chance to qualify they once again let their fan's down. Furthermore this World Cup will be dominated by Messi and Ronaldo as this is their last World Cup, but sadly I don’t expect either one of them to win it for their country.

Behind the failure of Gli Azzurri to qualify for the world cup. twice in a row the Italian national team failed to qualify for the world cup, is this just bad luck or the Italian national team is facing serious problems.
what do you think is the cause. the coach factor, or the players underperforming.

as for Ronaldo, until now there has been no official statement from Ronaldo who said the Qatar world cup was his last world cup.  Unlike Messi, this is his last world cup and if he and his colleagues are lucky to win the world cup this year, that means he will collect a title that he has not won so far.

Actually I wasn't too sure when the Nations League became the benchmark now, but indeed for Brazil today they are very different from a few years ago.
The condition of their players is even and there are many potential new players for them at this time.
Call it Vini, Richalrison and Antony in attack and Militapo in defense.
Not to mention with the support of players who can currently be considered as caliber as Raphinha and Neymar, it is clear that Brazil is currently a strong candidate after several years of absence.

Well this is something that has to be recognized, for me Brazil is a country that has a lot of talent, the players are quite efficient, they have a lot of attacking output, they have a Neymar who, no matter how hard he is, is a player who can solve a game in 1 second, at the least expected moment he can score a goal, these Nations League games sometimes I see it as a double-edged sword, there is the tremendous blow that CR7 took with the Czech Republic goalkeeper, he shed a lot of blood and I think more than one in Portugal got nervous, these hits and any type of injury can mean that a player is left out of the lineup.

Cristiano Ronaldo left bruised and bloodied after sickening collision in Portugal match

Quote
Cristiano Ronaldo was left dazed and with a bloodied nose after a collision during Portugal's Nations League clash with Czech Republic on Saturday. The veteran forward was given medical attention following the incident.

This inning was tough, and it could have been worse, the players who are key to their teams shouldn't risk them, well that's my way of thinking.
At the moment Tite is not too concerned with the squad because indeed he has many options for the Brazilian players now and their talents are now quite complex especially some of them are still very young.
As for Neymar, it's a bit difficult because there are some things that I don't really like about his attitude but this doesn't make him play badly on the pitch.

Btw I saw Portugal's match against Switzterland and the impact that Ronaldo received did look very hard, I hope things don't get worse and leave an effect after the match even though he did have to get treatment at that time.

Yes, in reality, Brazil does not have much of a problem, its players are very good and they have always had talent and this is something that can be noticed, Neymar despite everything, I think he has had more maturity and that has been noticeable since PSG, and more so with the huge problem that occurred with Mbappé who wants to be kicked out of the team, so between Ney and Messi they are more united than ever, and this has led him to his national team, Brazil I do not see a problem in reality that they can play a good role in the World Cup, even qualify for the final if they want, they have all the material, and also the technical director has the necessary strategies so that they can get ahead.

I still remember the final of that World Cup, I understand when Zidane gave the Italian the header, that was something never seen before, I cannot deny that at that time he was going to Italy, it was a super mega game, at that time there were many fans Italian, I liked how everything on the Italian flag looked, for me that was spectacular, I still remember as if that final had been today, Italy has a lot of history, it's a shame that it has not completed its classification for now, I don't know , I think the players were overconfident, it seems to me that there are missing players with the heart of Paolo Maldini, Toro Vieri, Cannavaro, Buffon, Francesco Totti, of all those greats, but I am sure that for the next World Cup Italy will be one of the top finishers.

The beautiful thing about soccer is that it can unite people all over the world, of all tastes, colors, nations are seen as some of the most powerful that exist, some think or say that it is seen as wars where it is shown what is the strongest country, I really would like the best to win, I cannot deny that I would like Portugal to win for CR7, Brazil for history, and Croatia because I know that the Croats play with their hearts in their legs, they have been very close to reaching to the final, I'm sure that if they reach the final they win, I can't forget A Clockwork Orange either, Roben was very close.

Entire World is watching. My country is much into cricket, slowly people have begun to give importance to football and other games with the existence of different leagues. The same have now created the expections over the FIFA. Few of my friends have went to Qatar to watch FIFA. I didn't expect such a big response from my country.

Same here as well. My country (India) never manages to qualify. But still there is a lot of craze here. In my area, there are separate fans club for both Brazil and Argentina. Previously football craze used to get limited to certain specific areas such as Goa, Kerala, Bengal and the Northeast. But now northern heartland is also showing a lot of interest in the game. The ISL also seems to have contributed to the growth in popularity, as the matches are broadcast live on TV and watched by millions of viewers.

You bring an important point, why Qatar wanted to host the world cup? Even if they see an increase on the people visiting their country this is going to be temporary at best, and if anything due to all the controversy regarding alcohol and other activities this may discourage people from visiting their country, so the only explanation I find is that they simply wanted to do this regardless of any economic benefit it could bring them, which is why they did everything they could to convince the top executives of FIFA with everything they got.

Qatar has been host to major events in the most varied segments.
Their intention is not to increase the number of visitors or tourism, but to become the center of big business that can move their economy more and more.
Qatar was built in the middle of the desert, there is nothing to do there, so it is necessary for them to take these events so that they can always be hosting important people and companies that want to invest there because they know that their brands and products will always be targeted in the big events that Qatar is hosting.

Here in this case mostly inner politics have his best role as Qatar has chance to host this event with the help of big players in these sports organizations and no one able to stop this all because money power is surely having the biggest impact.

We all know how FIFA is working, and we all know how many corruption cases already against their members are also highlighted, but nothing positive happen so most chances we are going to have no positive change in Qatar policies even after this event because they all know without giving any relaxation in policies they can do things which are important for them and media houses and human rights associations are also not able to have any strict policy against them.
The horrible thing is that the higher ups of these nations will continue to live a life of ease, there is nothing illegal for them, they can do whatever they want, mainly the men of these nations because they control the whole power, and they can leave the nation and go do whatever they want in other nations or even secretly do whatever they want in their own nations.

They will whitewash the nation from all the horribleness in the eyes of the west with these organizations and let everyone do whatever they want, making a look like they are a good nation to everyone. Then when everyone is gone, the poor of these nations will be treated like they are slaves, and will be a horrible life for all of them.

Yeah, it's the most watched sports event in the world by far:

The World Cup was first televised in 1954 and is now the most widely viewed and followed sporting event in the world. The cumulative viewership of all matches of the 2006 World Cup was estimated to be 26.29 billion.[1] 715.1 million individuals watched the final match of the tournament, almost a ninth of the entire population of the planet.

True, just a month to go before the world cup, and Qatar is doing some serious installation to keep the fans comfortable even to the extent of installing air-conditioning in the stadium due to the weather condition so I love the idea of taking this year's world cup host to be Qatar, I think the world cup should be a relief to the crisis going on in the world since football is actually loved all over the world, it brings the whole word together interesting just in is own way.

Yeah, I'm eagerly waiting to watch the world cup to bring some kind of normality to our lives after years of crazy stuff happening.

Last world cup we had no idea of covid, what a great life it was and we didn't even knew it!

One more month to the FIFA world Cup 2022. There must have been a lot of people waiting for it. I think Qatar as the host is also impatient but for the organizers the time must have felt so fast. because they are busy preparing everything. and when we are busy preparing something then we will like being chased by time which feels like it goes faster. but for those of us who are waiting only as spectators, then time seems so slow. but what makes it different in the 2022 FiFa World Cup this time is that it takes place in the midst of the ongoing global economic crisis. But I see the enthusiasm for the world cup is still felt even though the economic crisis is hitting.

How can you say that Dybala is not a core player? He maybe a bit underrated, but IMO he is an integral part of the Argentine national football team. And from what I heard, his injury is quite serious and it may force him to miss the world cup. He is just 28-years old and maybe able to participate in the future editions of the world cup, but this time it was a golden opportunity for Argentina to lift the trophy. Still, I am expecting a miracle. We have some 40 days to go for the world cup and all we can do is to keep hope.
I don't quite agree with you that Dybala is a core player to Argentina. We can all say that he is a fantastic player but Argentina are yet to see his potential, it is save to say he is in the shadow of Messi. Even though he recovers for the world Cup he might not be used much in the tournament just like other tournaments. Only Roma will actually feel is absence that much

This will be a very interesting entertainment after some time ago we were faced with a difficult situation, even now the impact is still felt. Like the previous World Cups all participating participants will show all their abilities. But what is more interesting this time is that this World Cup is difficult for me to predict because I see the strength between them is almost the same and there are not too many significant differences.
