Honestly, I don't understand why the Portuguese coach decided to limit Ronaldo's playing time by putting him on the bench. Of course, Ronaldo's performance in this tournament wasn't impressive, considering he scored only 1 goal. Nevertheless, I think the Portuguese coach should have allowed Ronaldo to enjoy his last matches at the World Cup. So Ronaldo's emotions in those pictures are understandable as he obviously expected that the last World Cup of his career should have been special.

Then from that, I didn't expect any dirty tricks to happen in this match. Argentina have a great striker, they have Lionel Messi and he was the player who had the most influence in this match. Messi has been in really good form lately, he scores goals and provides assists, so Dalic needs to have high vigilance for him throughout the match.

And the good thing for him is that there aren't that many teams that won World Cup at all, it's not a common thing, you happen to have 4-5 world cups in your entire career, and that's it, which is just 7 game long if you win it all, so that means it's not going to be that easy, and not many teams wins it and that is why it is understandable for Portugal to never win it during Ronaldos career, that's not really that bad.

I get that he may want to have at least 1 of each cups he played, and so far he did, but that's fine, world cup could be the missing piece from there, Messi may not win any neither until he retires, does that make both of them "bad" players? Of course not.
