Wow! What a beautiful goal by the Australian captain Sam Kerr to tie it up at 1-1 for the Matildas.
Reminded me of the goal Messi had yesterday in the League Cup in the American football club Inter Miami.
They said it was 36 yards out for the goats and that one looked right about the same!

Excellent as this will probably go to extra time just like the previous meetings have.
What a match!
Sam ker goal has just resuscitated the hopes of Australian women in the game. And from how the 18munites of the second half has been played Australia is possessing the ball and the game has become daisy at the moment. Its getting more interesting with a winner yet unclear.

Second half is underway now. Australia is already trailing 1-0 to England. Australia looking very dangerous right now since they control majority of the ball flow trying to looking for an equalizer. I hope they get it because Australia is one of my favorite teams still in the tournament after Nigeria. Plenty of time (39 minutes) to go so I have my fingers crossed for the co-host to come back in this tie.

Edit: Australia back in the game. Currently 1-1 thanks to Sam Kerr's volley.

Just checked the odds and as expected they are in England's favor (not by much). But still, so far home advantage has played a big role (both for New Zealand and Australia). A win by Australia is not likely today, but it is not impossible. First of all, England will have a clear advantage, if the match gets finished within the regulation time. If it goes to extra time, or to penalty shootout, then the chances for Australia are going to increase. During the last match, Australia had won in penalty shootout against France.

Right, England is a favorite to win today but don't forget when Australia beat France through a penalty the situation can change when the end result is 0-0  I'm sure Australia will implement the same strategy to play defensively hoping to continue through penalty while England certainly tries to win at regular time as we know England has an aggressive attack. It's a bit difficult to predict who will win so it's not a good idea to bet on the market 1x2 better bet on total corner kicks.

The correct route for this semi-finals match up was the corner kicks market. They are both pressing teams and I believe the count is 6 of them and it is still in the first half.

England were the favorites to win this match according to their odds right before kick-off.
And they are now leading after a late first half goal to put them up but there is still a full second half to go.
I would like to see one of the host nations go on to the finals happening August 20th.

Co-hosts Australia will stare down England in a couple of hours.  The Matilda's won their last encounter ending a thirty game winning streak by the Poms.

Then, it's on to Spain in the finals on the week-end.

Go the Matilda's!
England will be under a lot of pressure in this game and how they will perform will depend on how well they are able to handle the pressure. There will be more people to support Australia than them in this game, and that can be intimidating. The Australians also have recorded victory against England outside this competition, they will want to do it again. This game does not look the kind of game that will be extended into extra time, I think there will be goals in the game and a winner within the 90 minutes.

England will be my favorite team in this semi-finals match, because they have defeated many strong teams in this tournament which they still have the strength to eliminate Australia from this semi-final, because they have potential strikers who know how to create opportunity to embrace victory. I don't think this match will tough like Spain and Sweden match that play 1-1 till minutes to the end of the match before Spain struggle to scored the winning goal that made them to defeated Sweden 2-1 for the favour of Spain to qualified for FIFA women world cup. England will defeat Australia 2-0, but the first goal will happen in the first half to weak the strength of their opponent before they will score the second goal in the second half to eliminate Australia which is my prediction for this semi-finals match.
When we see England's opponent Australia in the World Cup final, England team seems to be our favorite without thinking but if we look at the internal performance of this tournament, it will be difficult to separate the performance of our two teams. In this World Cup, Australia women's team lost only one match to Nigeria, except for that one match, Australia women's team won all the matches, which shows how aggressive their performance is in this tournament. And in the last friendly match Australia beat England 2-0 meaning the last match statistics are also in favor of Australia. Defeat to England in the last friendly match will surely strengthen Australia's morale. Best of luck to Australia women in advance and hope they don't make any mistakes in the semi-finals.

Australia turns out to be the offsider at this stage of the World Cup. But he has been playing very well and showing resistance to the most difficult opponents. The defense is very consistent, which has made it difficult for opponents to score goals.

The game between Australia and England should be a very interesting game, where we will see England making more attacks, with Australia defending well and playing in a more counterattacking style. I would say that England are favorites to win the game, but it's been difficult to predict the results with these two teams.

In the last 30 minutes I checked the betting market most gamblers bet on England to qualify it seems they avoided the Money Line bet this means this match is predicted to be a draw while I think otherwise, if the match ends in a draw then I would rather support Australia to qualify. I know Australia has ability when it comes to penalties like when they kicked France last week so I can say England should take their chances in 90 minutes + extra time if it fails then England's chances of qualifying will be even lower, I'm not saying it's impossible but lower.

By the way I also found the match history of the two teams, the last match in April in a friendly match Australia managed to win with a score  2-0 , I know friendly matches cannot be used as a benchmark but at least we can see how the two teams perform. In the end I agree with you it is not easy to predict this match I will just watch without placing a bet or bet under on total goals only after watching this match go on for a few minutes.

Yes, it was a surprise result for me too, but Spain was lucky and went through. I am saying that Spain was lucky because all the three goals in the match were scored in the last 10 mins of normal time. First Spain took the lead in the 81 min and then it was equalized in the 88th min by Sweden. Spain quickly got another goal in the next min, the 89th min of the game and from there Sweden needed a miracle to come back.

A heart breaking ending for the Swedish team.

Well, I believe that several people were not expecting this result, including me!
When Sweden tied the game I thought it would go to penalties and Sweden would win against Spain, but that didn't happen and then, the Spanish team scored again, what a fierce game!

I believe that the game (Australia x England) will be competitive, the home team will do everything to go to the finals, but I don't know, England is an experienced team with extreme technique and quality, it will be a difficult game for both teams, but I believe, the England will win!

England, next to the USA, was one of the main favorite teams to reach the final. The USA came very poorly prepared for this World Cup, and ended up leaving the competition quickly - after the group stage. England, on the other hand, despite having played poorly in one or two games, is in the fight to reach the final - as expected.

It is difficult to find the difference in the semi-final between England and Australia. Despite the 120 minutes of the game against France, France could not score a single goal against Australia, so you can understand how strong Australia's defense is. England will have a hard time breaking down this Australian defence. There is no chance for any team to be ahead in this match, I can only say that this match between England and Australia is going to be one of the best matches of this tournament. It won't be a surprise if Australia wins against England because Australia deserves it. The counter attack could be the turning point of the match for England against Australia. England are very good at counter attack and if they can score good counter attack then England will have a chance to win this match.
Odds don't play matches the players do, and as for bookmakers they set the odds just in the way they view it from their own perspective based on their professionalism but it's all same as predictions as we the gamblers do. What am trying to say is that the game between England vs Australia is very critical to both sides and each sides going to play with so much carefulness to avoid costly errors that their opponent may capitalize on that may lead to a defeat.

I so much doubt if this game is going to exceed the normal 90mins regulation time but I have the feeling from what expecting that it's gonna end in a one nil victory but to whom is what I can't say, but it's  doubtlessly not going to be decided in penalty kicks.

The tournament is near the end, I want Australia to be the winner. Another is outside Europe and Latin America. But in any case, the Next Winner will be the first in its history (USA,Norway, Japan, Germany were the other ones). But I guess Spain has better chances than Australia and England
I hope my prediction is correct because I am accumulating some money in one event on bitget, like the ones we can find in any usual competition of football ( the good thing is you do not have to bet money just reach 1 usdt for one time)

World Cup to Oceania!!
Australia has the chance to make history for their women's football but they will face two favorites who have impressed enough to make it this far.
Australia must first get rid of England in today's semifinal match, Australian odds are 3.30 while England's @ 2.32, Australia must appear to attack from the first half to score goals because playing defense only by relying on counterattacks will not be good enough for the result because England has a pretty strong defense so far this is because from the group phase to the semifinals they relatively only conceded two goals, and if they expect a penalty shootout it will be quite difficult to predict the result and only a team that can handle the pressure strongly can succeed in winning via a penalty shootout.
Surprises may occur but England is unlikely to waste their good chance because even this will be a new history for them.

I think Australia is going to be out with Kerr in the initial lineup, which is the Australian's superstar. If she manages to score a goal, she will be idolized as Australia has never been into a women's final.

On the other hand, I think England is probably the better team. Having said that, France was also the better team, and Australia ended up winning. There's a massive support locally so maybe that will be enough for Australia to win.

The three goals that were scored in the match between Spain(2) and Sweden(1) occurred between 81 and 90 minutes of play, which is highly unexpected.
~snip~

This, indeed, was a game to break any sports bettor's bankroll Cheesy
Who would bet on so many goals and comebacks after the 81st minute?

It's a good thing that the result was decided during normal game time, as often the result of penalties is very unfair to teams that often play better in normal time but lose on penalties.

In my honest opinion, Spain deserved to qualify... despite the dramatic game, I believe they had a better performance on the field, and Carmona's great goal was enough to consolidate my opinion about this result.
The match was really interesting, well i expected a draw and didn't think there would be a comback aftee the 81st minute to be honest i thought it would end in a penalty shoot-out and Sweden would remove Spain from the competition but Carmona scored on the 89th minute to seal a 2-1 victory, the Spanish women really deserved the winning and have qualified for the finals.
Austrália would be playing England today to qualify for the finals and only time will tell if they'll knock out the Lionesses from the tournament but left for me I really want the Lionesses to qualify and battle the spanish women for the trophy, it's going to be a very tough finals with two of the best so far in this tournament challenge for the trophy however the Australian women won't give up easily and would give the Lionesses a very good challenge.
