The next matches are Australia vs France and England vs Colombia, looking at the history of performance during this event, the France and England women's national teams have the potential to be winners but well anything can happen in this event even the defending champion ^(USA) was eliminated from the women's world cup.

I'm still in suprise that Japan got knocked out by Sweden, they're my favourite team also and I wish they had gotten to the final there performance in the tournament has been great and I don't know why they got so unfortunate in the match against Sweden, I didn't watch the beginning of the match but towards the ending they missed lots of chances that would had enabled them equalised both goals and even missed a penalty.
Since Japan is out, I'm now left to chose between France and England of who would get into the finals the France team seems very dominant and I think they'll likely quality for the finals I hope so, they'll be playing against Australia tomorrow a tough one to decide but if they maintain good performance and try to score first they'll stand a chance against the Australian women.

Damn, my favorite team got knocked out whereas previously I hoped that Japan would go to the final unfortunately it is Sweden who will go to the semi-finals against Spain, I didn't watch the match but checked the match stats it seems that Sweden is a bit dominating attacks and shots 15 shots and 6 on target 2 of them goals. Next, we will wait for 2 more teams that will go to the semi-finals I predict England and Australia the performance of both teams is better so far.

You predicted 2-1 in favor of Japan, and I had the same expectation. But in the end, Sweden won the match by a margin of 2-1. It was heartbreak for me, as Japan was my favorite team in this tournament. Anyway, the semi-final will be played between Sweden and Spain. As expected, Netherlands got beaten fair and square. Their decline in international football continues without any change. Tomorrow we have the interesting match between Australia and France. Also, crucial day for England, as they take on Colombia. My prediction for the second semi-final is England vs France.

Today's game Spain women's team players were so aggressive that the Netherlands women's team players could not resist in any way on the field. I saw a lot of Dutch attacks towards the goal post but there was a lot of competition from the start of the game. The game was fairly good for both teams past half-time but Spain found themselves a goal late in the game but the Netherlands hit back in extra time. Yet I was so shocked that the match was full of supreme competition. However, in the next period, Spain again scored a goal to stay on the winning list, but in today's game, I can say that the Netherlands had to leave with the fate of fate.

What I saw in the encounter between Spain and the Netherlands wasn't what I was expecting, with the change of plan the Netherlands coach did by moving the central defender who caused the penalty to play as an attacker was just superb and she did better than the attacker by equalizing the game. With that alone it made me feel they'd win the game but some errors and wasted chances caused them the game, too bad for the Netherlands to be knocked out like that.

As soon as Amanda Ilestedt's goal came in the 32nd minutes, the Japanese defense seemed to loosen a bit and if not the intervention of the keeper, Asllani would have doubled the lead in the 44'. Spain truly deserved this victory, and finally defeating Netherlands in extra time. Big congrats to Spain for confirming their spot in the semifinals! Spain is relentless. Just like their men's team, their women's team is causing problems for the Dutch side.

Spain managed to win in extra time after normal time the score was still 1-1. An impressive performance by the Dutch who had fallen behind after the penalty prize for Spain was executed well in the 81st minute. I thought there would not be enough time for the Netherlands to make the game go longer but a goal in the first minute of injury time made this game have to go longer.
The Netherlands almost sent this game to penalties shoutout but their defense became a bit shaky when focused on attack so Spain saw their opportunity well.

I didnt get to see Spain v Netherlands at 2am either. Its Spain who go through with a
2-1 win. Reading a match report with some stats reveals that Spain created more chances
on target with more possession than the Netherlands and where the Dutch were lacking
was up front. They played a counter-attacking style but really struggled on front of goal.
So there goes my second team and my bet.

Japan v Sweden up next and I'm still sticking with Sweden,
I agree also that it will be European teams into the semi finals.
