It's a perfect situation for us to bet on Brazil not being the favorite, the odds will probably be good against teams like France, USA, Australia etc
Another good thing about not being the favorites for the title is less pressure in relation to other teams like the United States, Australia, England, etc. It is much better to play without all that pressure to be the champion. This has many times hurt men's soccer in Brazil

Undoubtedly, the fact that they have no pressure and are not considered favorites, helps a lot to be able to play good games, mainly because it is a team with great quality. I think the big favorites are the USA and England, not only favorites in theory but in practice, because they're playing really well.

In fact, Brazil is still not seen as one of the favorite teams, not least because it is only 9th in the FIFA ranking.

In my opinion, it's a good opportunity to bet on Brazil, not on title yet like you said, but during the competition I think there will be good odds to bet. We know Brazil is playing in a high level.

One day the Brazilian title will arrive, it could be this year... Marta merci, but for now I'm not going to bet on it yet.

And even with Brazil not being the favorite, I think the team can play with any team in World Cup in the same level, I hope they reach at least semi-finals. It will be a great good-bye to Marta. This time I think it's her last World Cup  Cheesy

Don't forget guys, that Brazil is the current Copa America champion, and got a draw with England in the Big Final (England is the UEFA champion) two months ago, only lost in penalties.
Brazil also defeated Germany in a friendly match in 11/04/23

The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 is going to start from July 20 to August 20. There are still many days left for these games to be played in which the first match of the day will start with New Zealand vs Norway and the next match will be Australia vs Ireland. In the first match, the Norway team had won the championship once before in 1995 when the Norwegian women played well. However, it is very difficult to predict the 2023 Women's World Cup, it is difficult to say which team will play well. And betting on the women's game is very difficult to predict which team will win and as difficult to win the bet.  But the game will be very interesting as the 32-team Women's World Cup will be held after five long years. When the time comes which team will perform well this year we will be able to make some predictions when the matches start. When all the teams are seen playing, it will be understood which team is performing well and which team will have the chance to become champion.
Predicting the path of these highoctane tournaments is no small task, right? The fast-paced, unpredictable spirit of football, notably in such significant global events, fuels its charm. Our Norwegian team flaunts a track record worth boasting. And their performance this year holds great promise. The newcomers always pack a punch, bringing in unique tactics to the turf. Betting? How about wagering on the sheer delight of the game and the ethos of fair play. Advocating for women's football transcends competitive borders. It's about saluting their tireless dedication and raw talent.

It's really hard to predict even when the men's World Cup is still difficult to predict even though we always follow it especially for women's football where we don't really follow it, but still the results on our bets can vary when we bet on a strong team or vice versa, and it will also be it depends on how competitive the competition is in this tournament so that each country has the opportunity to beat each other even though the strong team is competing against the weak.
If you want to know the strength map of the countries that will compete in this women's World Cup, you can check directly the list of the strongest to the weakest teams, USA, England, Spain and Germany are the top 4 seeds based on odds from bookmakers with the Philippines and Panama being the weakest, and when the top four seeds are playing it can be an option to bet on but maybe we won't find very attractive odds for that team.

This time the prize pool for the tournament have been increased to $110 million from $30 million which is really a big change in Women's FIFA.

Still it is a fraction of what the men receive. For the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted by Qatar, the prize pool amounted to $440 million (winner alone took home $42 million, while the runners-up received $30 million). But that is only a 10% increase from 2018 World Cup in Russia. On the other hand the women's tournament has seen the prize money going up by almost 4x. Women's game is not a revenue generator for the FIFA. As far as I know, FIFA spends more on the women's world cup than it earns.

The winning opportunity varies between the players. However the champion USA is at the stronger position to win the matches. Few of the teams important players were not playing the tournament due to injuries. This will surely make those teams have some soret of performance lack. England is one with such a situation, where its mid fielder and striker Beth Mead is out of the tournament. This time the prize pool for the tournament have been increased to $110 million from $30 million which is really a big change in Women's FIFA.

I don't know how the rest of the world is but the US has been trying to pay their women national players the same as the men.  Not the pro leagues but at least on the national.level.  there is no comparison on the pro level.  The women's leagues still don't draw that many fans as compared to the mens.

It will be already 6th World Cup for Marta - what a legend. Offcourse, she isn't performing like she used to do 10 years ago, but her experience will be very important for Brazil. They should qualify from group, but they aren't seen among favorites to win title.

In fact, Brazil is still not seen as one of the favorite teams, not least because it is only 9th in the FIFA ranking.

Brazilian women's football has grown a lot in recent years, this is confirmed by the good performance of national clubs that have raised their level of football a lot, such as Corinthians, Ferroviária, Internacional and Palmeiras.
But when you assemble a national team with the best players from these teams, unfortunately it isn't possible to obtain the same performance... a reflection of this was the last elimination of the Brazilians by France still in the round of 16.

But, despite Brazil still not having any title, they have very important campaigns in the World Cup, having conquered the third place in 1999 and the second in 2007 when by an unfortunate blow Marta's shot ended up in the opponent's crossbar in that final. to Germany.

One day the Brazilian title will arrive, it could be this year... Marta merci, but for now I'm not going to bet on it yet.

Group F: France, Jamaica, Brazil, Panama
Brazil will have another chance after coming so close to winning it before but failed. They have a very experienced player and one of the best female football players ever "Marta" who is a big name in women football winning FIFA player of the year six times. She will provide a lot of experience for Brazil in the competition. Brazil will battle to secure qualify to next round together with France, but the other teams will not be easily defeated. Brazil have never won this competition, it could be their first.

From this group, I think Brazil and France will manage to pass the next phase. Perhaps this is one of the groups where it is easier to predict who will move forward.

Brazil has some of the best players, and France is one of the best teams in Europe. Therefore, both teams must move forward in the competition.

So the tournament is about to start today and we have two matches scheduled - New Zealand vs Norway, and Australia vs Republic of Ireland. For the first match Norway are the overwhelming favorites. I checked different sportsbooks, and they are being given odds ranging from 1.25 to 1.27. On the other hand, New Zealand has odds from 9.8 to 11.0. For the second match, odds are a bit closer although Australia is the clear favorite. For Australia the odds range from 1.35 to 1.40, while Republic of Ireland is at 7.20 to 7.50.

It doesn't start today. The world cup only starts on the 20th of July, a month from now.

But thanks for bringing these statistical points for analysis already.

https://youtube.com/shorts/PKs7v6Ti2e0?feature=share  - what do you think? Does things are really like this, or this is just a compilation to get emotions, comments ? I know that we can easily find  non-sport behaviour from men football players, but I wonder what is the % rate of such cases in women and men football in general.

It's more of a sensational compilation than anything else.

I haven't been following much, but from what I've seen, the women's games, the players are very respectful of the rules. More than that of men.

The biggest difference in the game, I think, is the game speed, which ends up moving at a slightly lower pace.
Maybe I don't watch that much women football, but I think that their football is less dirty than men and this video don't show reality. I don't have stats, but from what I saw, there is much less yellow cards shown.
There is another big difference - hight of players. For women goalkeepers it's difficult to reach high balls. And despite that level increased a lot in recent years, you still can see plenty of wird goals and mistakes that happens only in women football. Let's take this year Champions league final - highest possible level. If you will watch highlights, you will understand what I'm talking about.

I want to agree here and what I observed when I watched some of the games is that the women players complain much less than the men players do. When the referee makes a decision and not everyone agrees, it is still far from what's happening when men play and don't agree with the referee. There is also less of this play when it is about wasting time by not making the throw in or pretending to be injured. Those are actually traits that I wish would be more common in men soccer. But technically it is quite magnificant at times at what level women play. The pace is indeed a bit lower but the precision is higher than many would think.

Lots football fans and observers are not interested in women's football because it is far behind football in general.
But the women's football event is increasingly being recognized and started to be followed by many people around the world.

Maybe some of the football fans appreciate the fact that women's football is less about big money than men's football?
Wouldn't we be closer to "authentic" football with women's football? Fewer financial means, less corruption, less cinema during faults, and overall a less detestable atmosphere (whether on the field or from the supporters)?

It is for example like those who prefer to watch Indycar races to Formula 1 races. The sport itself is almost the same, but the fact that Indycar teams have 50 times less budget than in Formula 1 means that a lot of people feel that it's "more real driving", and that the races are more authentic, and that the drivers are central not only their cars and teams

Yeah in the past womens soccer was too slow but they have caught up in recent years and the games have actually been real exciting.  For awhile the US weren't really getting challenged but that's all changed there are a ton of teams that will be vying for the cup so it' should prove to be one of the better world cups.

That's why many think that this World Cup could be the turning point for women's football. With the increase in the number of fans and sponsors.

Even if in the end the USA won, there will be more competition between all the participants and that will make a cup more interesting.
Lots football fans and observers are not interested in women's football because it is far behind football in general.
But the women's football event is increasingly being recognized and started to be followed by many people around the world.

Whether the US will win or not we can only predict and can't really prove to be right.
For the US the legend player that I always remember is Abby Wambach she is the only best player of all time for the US in my opinion.
