Who do you think will win this Women's World Cup? Will it be the US again?
The US has a pretty great women's soccer team and they are always growing with the emergence of new players who already have pretty good skills.
The US itself is a team that has been able to defend its championship up to 4 times and perhaps their toughest enemy will be Germany.
Even though Germany is still far below the US for achievements and playing performance, it looks like Germany will really prepare their team to win the title from the US.

I rarely watch football(especially women's football), but since the Philipines is competing this year I'm gonna watch to at leas show my support to my fellow countrymen.
I don't really follow women's footbal
Same too..I hardly watch women football because I do see it very boring compare to when the men are playing.

I also dont like to watch women football, not because it is boring, but because it is like watching football in slow-mo, and two completely on different level teams meat often. Sorry to say, but women football isnt developed at all. I have never seen a kid wearing t-shirt with famous women football player. I think no one could even name top players, or who won previous cup without googling. Since Brazil is most football playing country, I believe they gonna win.

Wow, this is surprising, either I missed the news about it or there isn't enough hyping on what the Philippine women's football team achieved.

I rarely watch football(especially women's football), but since the Philipines is competing this year I'm gonna watch to at leas show my support to my fellow countrymen.
I don't really follow women's football, so I don't really understand the strength map other than later it can be seen through betting by judging the odds for each national team that competes.
Actually, it was quite surprising for me because there are two countries from Southeast Asia that can play in the women's world cup, there is your country and also Vietnam, so this is the first time I know that their women's football is more advanced than men's which is indeed a different competition, but unfortunately, Vietnam is one group with the defending champions and two other European countries, so maybe they won't be predicted to be able to do more and this is their first participation and it's quite surprising
Same too..I hardly watch women football because I do see it very boring compare to when the men are playing. I will give it a try this time when I am less busy to see they can catch up my attention on the games. To know the country that will win their games,I guess one can get a little knowledge from the odds.

My country is playing and for that reason,if I don't watch any of the matches,I will create out time to watch my country's match. I think Brazil or USA might be the winner in this year women world cup because I expect that these countries are strong and are more favorite to win the cup.

Agreed. In women's football, Argentina is not one of the top teams. I checked the odds for this event, and it looks like USA, England and Spain are the most favored ones.

https://www.forbes.com/betting/soccer/womens-world-cup-2023/

USA: +225
England: +300
Spain: +600
Germany: +700
France: +900

I'm even surprised that Spain is better quoted than Germany.
And I think it's strange that Sweden doesn't even enter that top.

In the world ranking, the top 5 consists of:
1. USA
2. Germany
3. Sweden
4. England
5. France

It looks that you don't follow women football at all. Argentina isn't powerhouse here, their chances to win  is same like Zambia, Vietnam or Haiti, rated at odds @501. If Argentina will get out from group somehow, it would be almost like miracle.

I checked the schedule and was surprised to see teams like Haiti, Philippines and Vietnam. The women's edition seems to be much more diverse, when compared to the men's edition. They provided only 3 slots to CONMEBOL, and that was my only complaint. BTW, FIFA hasn't increased the number of participants for the women's world cup. Even for the 2027 event, the number of participants stand at 32 (for the men's event it has been increased to 48).

I was looking for this thread Smiley After all, it's probably biggest football event this summer. Comparing with last championship, number of participants was increased from 24 to 32. I'm not sure that's good move because level of women football isn't such good everywhere around thw world. I'm afraid that it will some big results in group stage like 10:0
I hope that someone finally will end USA dominace - 3rd World Cup in a row would be too much.

I think it would be wonderful if the Argentinian team could bring another Cup this occasion and continue the good streak that country has managed to get since they got the World Cup.  Wink

Along with the USA, without a doubt England is another great candidate to reach the final. English women's football has evolved a lot in the last two years, and they are playing very well.

I'll try to watch some games, it will be at dawn in Portugal, it won't be easy.
At least I'll try to watch a match of the Portuguese team. Especially the USA vs Portugal game, it should be a very lively game.  Cool
I'm getting my bets ready and hunting for good odds in order to make huge gains from these games. There are countries that I'm convinced will go far; England has a wonderful squad, and I believe they can perform even better than our expectations; it's vital to give credit to those who deserve it, and the Englishwomen are up for it. According to the evaluations, England has a decent chance of reaching the final, as opposed to other squads that appear to be struggling. Nonetheless, we should not overlook any country in the World Cup because it is a high-level competition in which we demand the best from all participants.

For some reason, there has not been much attention given to the female participation in the World of the football, all the football idols and legends are men. I wonder whether has anything to do with the FIFA or the culture behind this sport itself.

Anyways, Ill try to keep an eye on the developments of this tournament. Go Argentina.  Smiley

We can't be sure on which team will win. As said Brazil holds the highest chance of winning the title. Same as the mens football, here also we were able to see very little countries from the Asian continent. Hope this changes in the upcoming world Cups as different sports were started to get importance against the audience getting stagnant towards particular games.

Placing bets on these matches will be surely interesting, because quite often we can see the underdog winning the match. This needs to be promoted well and given importance as the mens football. Only then we'll be able to get more good players as well as motivate women to start their football career.

the games start on the 20th of July, there is still a lot of time left for the games to start and in my opinion these women's games are very difficult to predict the result, so I will not place any bets on these games and I will not watch these games either, I don't care I remember someday I was able to watch a women's soccer game, I mean watching the game for 90 minutes, the rhythm and how the women play is not something I like so I prefer to watch something else than watch women's soccer, now something that it even made me very curious what I want to see and if in these games I will see many women watching the games or not

it will be very interesting to see if the stadiums will be full of women or men, I say this because currently women have complained a lot about being valued and that they are unjustified, but is it really that women support each other that much or is it just arguments for some people gain advantages, I'm talking about politicians, so for at least a few minutes I'll watch the games just to see if there will be many women in the stadiums or not, when men play on the fields in the stadiums despite having women the number is very small which looks like that most women are not interested in soccer games, in short, we will see in this world cup whether or not women are interested

The favorites in my opinion are of course the USA, England (current champion of the Eurocup), Germany and Sweden.

I think it's worth to watch the matches, and obviously do some bets.
Are you also planning to watch and bet on this year's matches?

Nice thread joker

The bets are not yet released on the site I use, but should be in about 2 weeks or so.

I'm hoping for Brazil to win this title, the girls play very well and I think they can play at the same level with any other team, an important detail is that Marta will play, bringing a lot of experience to the team with the coach Pia Sundhage (she won 2 olympic gold medals with USA)
Brazil has never won the women's world cup, and this is a great opportunity since they are in good shape and last year they won the Copa America.

The favorites in my opinion are of course the USA, England (current champion of the Eurocup), Germany and Sweden.

I think it's worth to watch the matches, and obviously do some bets.
