Yeah, the European Championship used to be higher quality than the World Cup because only Brazil and Argentina used to be of the right level and all the other non-European contestants brought the overall level down (there were actually more quality teams on the European championships). The last few World Cups this is slowly starting to change.

The players can use a few days of rest. Especially when considering the harsh conditions.

Its been very hot and I'm glad they have had a 2 day break for the players to rest and suspense to set in.

Yes, i would not bet for netherlands to advance, too much risk and a little reward, Navas the goal keeper of Costa rica is awesome, they resisted 40 minutes with one man down and still won on pk.

Yeah its now building towards a great end like all the previous worldcups, it is one of the most open Worldcups.

Was a great match USA, I drank a little too much last night because of the game. It was very exciting except when we were down by 2....then it got real exciting again!
