The attitude of the Blues on social networks is a good reflection of the life that takes place in the peaceful region of Istra, the base camp of the World Cup located 70 kilometers from Moscow. After the qualification against Argentina last Saturday, the effusions of joy and other teasing invaded the personal accounts of  Mbappé or Griezmann and Pogba. Scenes of good mood logical after getting the ticket for the quarterfinals of the World Cup.

France have a better team overall. And they are likely to meet Brazil in the semis. Belgium have no chance in front of Brazil. It would be one of the toughest match while England would have easier times climbing to the final spot. So, now the world cup competition lies between France, Brazil and England.

Do not be quick to rule Belgium out. They are really dark horses of the tournament. This world cup has been full of surprises. What Belgium lacks is experienced players on the field but they have a lot of talent. Also i do not believe that Roberto Martinez has the coaching/managerial experience for this level as well; but remember Di Matteo winning the champion league with Chelsea in 2012 without that experience; anything can happen. For Belgium, what they lack in experience, they have to find right now, in the form of astute discipline on the field. Also I wouldn't say that England have an easy route to the finals. Sweden have proven in recent history to be tough opponent for them.

Croatia can get to finals too, they have easier way to finials then Belgians and Brazilians, winner from that game will have to play against winner from France and Uruguay and both are tough opponents. Croatia against Russia and winner from that game plays against winner from Sweden and England. Can Russia surprise once again in this championship and make a win against Croatia? I believe everything is possible in football, and final game can be Uruguay vs England or Brazil vs Croatia, easier way to finials is for England, Brazil France Belgia and Uruguay are much better teams then Russia Croatia England and Sweden.
Maybe we will see more draw games and penalties in the end, that's football you never know what will happen until last minutes.

Now it's official. No world cup winners would have a good season next time.
What a shameful way for Germany to get out of the world cup.
Losing against one of the weakest team of tournament.
First win for South Korea in the world cup and that also against the defending champion.
Hey! Wait hold on I think you are not well aware about the match. The score was 2-1 as far as my knowledge is concerned and I am well sure about the score as I today saw the highlights of that match in which Nigeria was able to score a goal by getting a penalty due to a foul in the D of Argentina. That goal scored by Messi was completely out of this world.

Wow the 2nd half of the Colombia - England match was brutal. Yellow cards were flying left and right and it's a miracle that no-one received a red. I wasn't sure if I was watching football or rugby - there were so many fouls and the game was being stopped every few seconds. England broke their curse of getting eliminated in penalty shootouts so that was a breath of fresh air for them at least.

Worst case scenario for MEXICO here is a draw, and they still advance.

Sweden isn't a known powerhouse of offense, scoring only 1 goal in each of their 2 games.

MEXICO will play for the win, so maybe a play on the WIN or DRAW.

Talk about a horrible prediction that ended up turning out great for Mexico!

No one gave S. Korea a shot at surviving, let alone giving up 3 goals.

This WC has been full of surprises and I feel the excitement/upsets are just getting started.

I think that they didn’t wanted to win this world cup title that is the reason why they took every team more light and lose then they should have taken and the result is in front of all of us and we cannot deny this thing that they are out of this world cup at the present stage. Germany now had to wait for next four years to get out of the world cup again.

England captain Harry Kane scored in the 57th minute to raise his lead to six goals. While Colombia's Yari Mina scored from a header in the 90 + 3 minute.

It is the first time that England have qualified for the quarter-finals since 2006

England were eliminated from the curse of their first World Cup win, having previously been eliminated from the 1990 finals (semi-final against West Germany), 1998 (quarter-final against Argentina) and 2006 (quarter-finals against Portugal).

England thought they had the match in their bag and were already plotting their quarterfinal strategy, before the stunning goal by Mina. It was surprising that England did not mark Mina with 2 defenders, given that he was the main player of Columbia.
England will now believe that they can win on penalties, after overcoming their demons.

i don't think M'bappé and Griezmann could do somethng agaisnt the stronger defence of urugway , it will end by the winning for urugway
belgium will not be able to score a single goal against brazil , i say it will be brazil and no goal for belgium

Uruguay will be the favorites against France, and hopefully they will progress to the semi-finals. And regarding Belgium, I don't have much hope for them against Brazil. Only the victory margin is in doubt.
Nah i don't think uruguay is the favourites against france, France is also good and i think the odds will be 50 50. I hope there will be many goals happened again like france vs argentina. Belgium is full of potential players and yet they still hard to manage to win, especially against japan yesterday.

The coach congratulated his men and highlighted the level of his opponent: "There are many situations where it was felt that something had to be whistled. It does not detract from the fact that England have a very good team and that Colombia has proved that it is a team with many virtues: courageous, balanced, although we may lack a certain depth. "

We will see about that. I think Belgium team have chances against Brazil, how good they are they proved against Japan from 2-0 to 2-3 in second half. I believe that Belgium have a power to stop Brazil and progress to the next stage, I believe enough to put some bet on that, same like I will put goal on both sides in game Uruguay vs France. Both have great front line, strong attackers that can score from many positions, Uruguay have a better team, they play better then France, more stable with sense for a game, but I wouldn`t underestimate France here, their nice win against Argentina will give them self confidence boost for sure, and they have Mbappe who is playing really great, so fast player can turn the game in couple minutes. Both games will be interesting for watching, good luck with bets my friends.

It is a satisfied English coach who presented himself at a press conference. Gareth Southgate was pleased with how his players played during regulation time but also with the mastery with which they managed the penalty shoot-out: "We played so well for 90 minutes, we showed our willingness to come back in the match after the big disappointment of the equalizer, we stayed calm. The penalties are difficult, we had discussed at length how we could master a session like this. The players remained calm, everyone pulled in the same direction, it's a special moment for us. We had studied the technique, how we should behave as a team, the role of the goalkeeper ... It's a special moment but I must already project myself on Sweden. I want us to continue.

Bang Columbia-England 1-1
last minute goal for Columbia what a story. From the  time when Columbia begin to play football instead to train wresting they are much better
I am really sorry for Japan but it is football
We will have game Belgium-Brasil my bet is Brasil they are playing better and better

This match is not even over yet and it might be a penalty shootout to decide which team will go to the next round. I support England and it will be a major upset if they didnt make it from the penalty shootout. Sometimes unexpected things, I mean like alot might happen in penalty shootout as the top team might be much more pressured
Mina have been a star defender in this WC in both duties offensive and defensive ... Such a wonderful return, Colombia beat England in its style in the tournament of fixed balls. but at the end Jack Butland have been the man that got the qualification by catching carlos bacca penalty kick. Congrats to Harry Kane and his men to reaching the fianl 8 after missing this milestone for the previous two occasions. Crazy how England now can go to not even Semie finals but actualy winning the WC.
funny thing is that 3 of Spurs players have scored their Penalty kicks i think the rise of Spurs is one of the many reasons that England doing better. As the other top teams do not supply the National team with many good english players as mosth of them tend to buy foreign players.

Damn I was so frustated when Henderson missed the penalty. I thought the dream for England is over when the goalkeeper blocked that. Colombia totally wasted their opportunity, the fourth kicker hit the bar and Bacca's shot was blocked. It was a complete turnover for Colombia when they were so lucky to score the last minute goal and drag this game longer
