They didn't really play all that well if you ask me, no part of the game at all. England just dominated very harshly and that was the case for them for a long time. I am not guessing that Senegal had any intention of winning neither, they knew what they were going against and that is why I believe that we are not going to see anything that shocking like Senegal beating and they knew it and that's why we got this result.

In no part of the game has it ever looked like they had a sliver of a chance, it was always impossible for them and it is a good bye to them, glad at least that they got out of the group stages without Mane, that's a relief to say the least.

Yes croatia vs japan game was really tough to predict i think croatia has a slight edge but if japan manage to resist in the extra time the penalties will determine who was the most mentally ready, as for brazil i think it will be an easy win for them the knock out stage is really tough and its hard to see favourite teams knocked out.

I have heard that Sterling had to go back to his home as a burglary incident happened there. According to news, his family was also in the house while this was happening. It must be a really scary experience for certain so I understand why Sterling wanted to be with them quickly. Sterling didn't play in England's last two games already and Foden did just a fascinating job meanwhile. Therefore Southgate must still be comfortable about his choices for the starting eleven of this game.

France really made me happy yesterday the way they won Poland 3:1 without stressing themselves much to beat them, because they knew that Poland can't hold them not to move forward in this FIFA world cup. Now that the two strong teams are meeting on Saturday this week, I guess France will beat England 3: 1 to maintain the victory because PSG striker need to prove to his fans by leading the team to quarter final. France will never allow England to eliminate them at this time around because they have the tactics to play team like England.

In these both matches quality difference was too much between losers and winners with France and England having good quality and their players were also highly skilled specially France which is current champions and now also having third most favourite team for this event as well now having good chance to defend their title because they are at their best and now having quarterfinal against England which is also good but still not capable of handling French quality which is right now at his best.

I have feeling most chances France will win match against England in regular time they will never allow them to give resistance because they are having good attack with solid defence and their midfield is also much superior to England which is giving good support to their attack for having good results in crucial matches.

I fully support France to be able to advance to the semifinals, we know that England has many star players as well as France has many star players, this will be a great match in the quarter finals as well as Argentina vs the Netherlands, I think 1 - 0 France will win against England or draw 0 - 0 and end on penalties

Argentina v Netherlands and England v France will both be very competitive matches. Every team is strong. However, I have considerable doubts about France winning against England. There is no doubt that the two teams are strong. However, England have only conceded two goals against Iran in four matches. And in three matches they did not concede any goal. Despite conceding two goals against Iran, they conceded 6 goals.
France, on the other hand, have conceded goals in every match. So it is easy to assume that England's defense is performing slightly better than France. The forward players of both teams are in good form. I think the team that can defend well will win.

France - Poland is over. It was mostly a comfortable match for France just as expected. Giroud missed a 100% goal chance in the first half but he scored a goal not much time after it. Mbappe was the star of this match of course. His performance with 2 goals and 1 assist was really impressive. He is always France's biggest hope of course. He is like France's Messi now. Grin

But I wouldn't like to put it in a way like France don't have a good squad. Their squad quality is of course much better than Argentina's.

I just wanted to say that they would have had more problems with scoring goals if they didn't have Mbappe in this World Cup. By the way Poland won a penalty in the last minutes. It was nearly going to be a disaster for Lewandowski first because he used it terrible. But he must be grateful that the penalty kick was repeated and he scored this time.
