Spain were totally dominant in game and field in terms of ball possession and even strike they tried many times failed in all of them ,Morocco on other hand they were defensive and alert and they stopped all Spains attempts to goals.
The penalty shootout worked for them because at that time Spain was already nervous and under alot of pressure.
This is a big thing for morocco now we have to see how they  will play against Portugal.

I can't see Croatia winning against Brazil really. Brazil is just too skilled, and they can score easily from anywhere and with different techniques.

Even if Croatia scores early, Brazil will end up scoring more in the end.

Maybe if they end up tied Croatia could win in penalties though.

Croatia is a very complicated team to play against, if Brazil can score early then the game can become way easier as Croatia will be forced to try to get a score, but if the minutes keep going by and Brazil is unable to score then it would not surprise me if the match will have to be decided by kicking penalties, and as we have seen during the game of Spain and Morocco once you get to that instance anything could happen and Brazil could get eliminated by Croatia.

Yeah agree, Poland were lucky to have spot into last 16 because as they were level on points with Mexico, but one goal difference give them spot and Mexico were unlucky in this case one more goal which give them spot into last 16 but still now all ended for the both teams France done good job and Poland surely needs to be improved side because just relaying on one player is never been ideal situation and have no fair chance for having higher spot in any event.

Now we already completed round of 16 with one big upset as Morocco beats Spain on penalties and going to face Portugal into quarterfinal where we have few toughest challenges like England vs France and Argentina vs Netherlands for me these two matches are having significant competition.

Morocco made me proud. I wasn’t expecting them to win but I knew that they weren’t going to concede more than a goal in the match. They have been defensively clinical and in a good shape since the started of the World Cup. Hornestly this match really made my day. Morocco would have won them outrightly if they had converted those late chances. Now they’ll have to beat Portugal to progress to the semifinals. I know this is going to be the hardest game for them. Portugal is a different team with a direct and penetrating type of play. I trust Morocco to contain them.

Spain had more than 75% possession during the regular time + extra time. They completely dominated the match. Also, they were quite unfortunate that some of their shots narrowly missed the goal post. But in the end, Moroccan defense performed exceptionally well and luck was also on their side. What surprised me is the fact that Spanish players missed so many of their spot kicks. Historically they have performed well in shootouts, but I don't know what happened yesterday. All credit to the Moroccan keeper (Yassine Bounou). He was just unbelievable.

The truth is that their way of thinking is quite relevant, well I don't think they make the biggest teams look so ugly, remember that Argentina could have lost against a team that was much better off than them, but right now the state of mind of the Argentines It must be to heaven, like Germany, they are teams that perhaps felt confident in playing and something has to be known, nobody can be trusted here, these teams that are in Qatar came here for a reason, they all have their great level, in the case of Serbia they showed a great level against Brazil, but we must remember that Serbia beat Portugal in the qualifiers because they sent them to the playoffs, however Portugal already won 1 game, Serbia lost in its first phase of games.


Do not doubt it, that will be a great game for those who come from Breasil from now on, I in Croatia would already be making a quick strategy to be able to neutralize all those attackers, the truth is something that cannot be predicted as will be the performance of the Brazilians because for the most part when they don't have a strategy they just do what they want and that is to have fun, when there are so many stars in a team, they know what to do, sometimes a technical director at the time of directing can block his creativity a bit, when a Brazilian plays and has fun creates many goal situations that they have not even studied.

There's no lots of goals being made by both. Both have equal power but morocco was winning the match caused by it has a great goal keeper. I didn't even expect morocco will able to force the match become draw. Morocc is good enough preventing any attack from spain. Spain itself was also feeling so hard to prevent morocco to attack it. I could not believe about how spain was not even able making a single goals during penalty against morocco. The world cup becomes very interesting caused by more big team gone as it was lose against underrated team.

A total of 8 matches remain in this world cup now. 4 in the QF stage, 2 in the semi-final and then the final and 3rd place match. I would consider Qatar 2022 as one of the most exciting world cups, since I started watching football for the first time in 1998. On Friday we have two heavyweight clashes involving Brazil and Argentina respectively. In the first match, underdogs Croatia will take on Brazil and the second match is between two teams of almost equal strength - Argentina and Netherlands. Portugal has perhaps the most easiest QF match, as they are up against Morocco.

Neymar is back in the squad. He is not completely healthy though. However, Brazil's players are more confident with Neymar in the squad. Winning against any team becomes easier if a player like Neymar is in the squad. However, Brazil's next match is against Croatia. Croatia's team is not weak. However, Croatia does not have a strong squad to win against Brazil. I think Brazil will have no problem beating Croatia. I will also bet on Brazil winning the next match in Brazil. And I want to see Argentina vs Brazil in the semi-finals. I think both Brazil and Argentina will win the quarter-finals and qualify for the semi-finals.

Spain was dominating power in match they never allowed Morocco to have any serious threat to them with 14 - 6 was shots on goal for Spain and Morocco not able to have any corner against Spain but still fail to have any achievement, and now they are out of the competition with Morocco is now having next match against Portugal which are currently leading the match against Switzerland by 5 - 1 with the help of amazing hat trick by Ramos who is destroying Switzerland defence badly and now having fourth spot into World Cup high scorers which is leading by Mbappé with the 5 goals.

In today match we have poor effort from former World Champions as I have feeling they were overconfidence, and they were taking Morocco easy team which give them shocking defeat and exit from the World Cup early as many were feeling they will be in last four.

it's not going to happen, because now in the 80th minute Portugal is 5-1 ahead of Switzerland. even Ramos scored 3 goals in this match. what a great game for Portugal.
the surprise from Morocco was unexpected. this will ensure Portugal's meeting with Morocco in the quarter-final match. Morocco's unexpected appearance could reach the quarter-finals. of course, this is a concern for the whole world. this is not luck. they do hard work.

It may not be great, but we all know how good they are normally, and they were missing some key players, specially Neymar who is already back which is a great news for PSG to be fair.

I think the best thing we could do right now is bet on Brazil, to say that it is impossible for them to lose against anyone would be wrong of course, because we all know anyone could lose against anyone, but just because there is a "possibility" of them losing doesn't mean that they will lose, there is still a bigger possibility that they will win, and that is a bit more important to me. This means that we are going to end up with a Brazil win for all intends and purposes, and I will bet on them.

Portugal are very comfortable against Switzerland now. The first half has finished and they are 2-0 ahead already. First Ramos' fascinating shot to the top left corner and later Pepe's great header helped them capture a solid advantage earlier in the match. Fernandes still continues to impress people and big teams. He made the assist by a nice cross to Pepe. Ronaldo is waiting in the subs for now and it looks like there won't be any need for him to play. But I still expect to watch him in the second half.

It would be lovely to see him continuing to score until the end of the road for them in the World Cup. This is his last World Cup experience in the end. Morocco's surprising victory is already a big shock so it would be just doubled if Switzerland do the same to Portugal this time.  

Although Spain had more ball possesions but that didn't help them in scoring a goal and they lost many shots on target . Goalkeepers no doubt gave their cent percent today apart from the penalty shootout where Spanish Goalkeeper went off track . Spain will remember this defeat for longer period of time . A great surprise in this world cup , well done and congratulations Morocco.

Now waiting for the next game Portugal and Switzerland.

I hope that you didn't place a bet for Spain victory since they failed everyone tonight especially after wasting 3 successive penalties. I fail to remember a team missing penalty kicks like that
Portugal - Switzerland will start in less than an hour, will Portugal join Spain in the plane or not? I am waiting to see a hard match and I expect a Switzerland victory, dunno why.

In today's first match, Spain sensationally loses the World Cup losing to Morocco. Spain had a 77% advantage in possession of the ball, but not much resulted from this advantage. The Morocco team successfully managed to neutralize Spain's strongest points. Bono's performance in the penalty shoot-out should also be mentioned.
In today's second match, the bookmakers' favorite is Portugal, but I believe that Switzerland is not without a chance to advance. It's going to be an interesting match.

We're both wrong on this one. Spain could only manage to take 7 shots which is pretty low on a 70% ball possession. This may well end up in a penalty shootout because of Morocco's endurance. They probably planned to defend all the way after the first half. What a huge upset if they could win this match.

I don't think, Morocco can make this game end up in penalty shoot out because Spain game has changed in this second half, which they will surely achieve a goal before the end of this game that will make people to rate their strikers among the best strikers in this FIFA world cup competition. Spain will beat Morocco 2:1 in this second half to prepare the mind of their fans that they will qualify for quarter final to showcase more tactics that will make the whole world to predict for their favour to win this world cup title.  

This may be a good time to bet on Spain if you haven't done so because odds of 2.0 on moneyline is already decent enough. I expect them to increase the tempo and be more aggressive in the second half. I doubt Morrocco can beat them in terms of ball "handling" or possession so their best chance here is to catch them on the counter.
