What do you mean when you say that Qatar had no problems qualifying for the World Cup? They are the host and they qualified because of that and not because they beat someone in qualifications. Normally I would say that Uruguay will win this match easily but this is the first match of the tournament and surprises are normal. For me a draw would be a surprise and Qatar winning would be a shock.

I guess Qatar against Ecuador was purposely to entertain the country as a host community but even at then to be their first meet up in the world cup, you shouldn't underrate Qatar because they had an automatic qualification as the whole match was hosted in their country, they are good and bless with good players, the last time they had a friendly match with Ecuador, they won and not only that, if you look closely at Qatar last five matches, they won 4 matches and draw just 1 to Chile that usually give Argentina some headache in their matches. It is very likel that Qatar will go far.

I've analyzed the Qatar matches a bit lately and although they were relatively successful and winning, they scored almost half of their goals from penalties, which is very unusual.
It seems they had a friendly referee at every game, and reportedly some games were completely closed to the public.
