The Senegal football association are saying that they are going to employ spiritual help on Mane if the injury didn't go on time before the world cup starts. The way it is, the Senegal football association wants Mane to be in Qatar no matter what. There are chances that he will be on the list of their selected players of the world cup. Let's see what unfolds next

I guess they want him in the team no matter what. Whatever they do, I hope he recovers and help his teammates to advance to the next stage of the competition.
With the injury he suffered, be was initially expected to miss the World Cup. But with the proximity of the tournament, which kicks off on Sunday November 20, makes it even more difficult for him to be ready. Honestly I think it is a difficult situation for Sadio Mane because he will have to decide whether to rush back for the World Cup appearance in exchange for compromising his physical health in the final stretch of his career. I think he has joined the team to Qatar but not sure if he’ll be available for their first game.

I'm pretty sure that he won't be ready for the first game. But since the first game is against Netherlands, maybe they will prepare him for the games against Qatar and Ecuador because they probably have better chance to beat those two teams than Netherlands.

I feel like Group A is totally open to surprises. Qatar team is like closed box I am sure many fans didn't watch them and don't know their full potential. I feel like Netherlands may have issues scoring goals. Ecuador is full of surprises as well. It has talented players. Maybe except striker but he is performing well in Türkiye. Senegal is awesome team but Sadio Mane is injured sadly. I feel like Ecuador and Senegal may beat Netherlands and stay in tournament.

There was a statement from Abdoulaye Sow (member of the Fédération Sénégalaise de Football) that Sadio Mane will miss the "first few" matches of the world cup as a result of the injury. He suffered the injury (right fibula) while playing for Bayern Munich, and hasn't recovered completely. And he will almost certainly miss their first match (against Netherlands) and the second one (against Qatar). And this makes Group A much less competitive and reduces the chance of Senegal qualifying to the next round to almost zero.

You think that Senegal have a chance to advance to the next stage even without Mane? I'm not sure... He is their key player. His injury could really be a chance for Ecuador or Qatar.

There are reports that Christopher Nkunku is out of the World Cup after picking up a knee injury during the French national team's training. It’s very unfortunate. He has been on fire for Leipzig this season  and really deserved to show what he’s got at the World Cup. It’s a big loss for France because he could give a lot. Outstanding player with great potential, with high work rates and active on both sides of the field. They’ll need to find a better player to replace him in the squad.

I am curious about Christopher Nkunku. So far he has played only 8 matches for the French national team, and has scored zero goals. I agree that he was in terrific form this year for RB Leipzig (12 goals from just 15 matches in Bundesliga). But the French team is so star-heavy at this moment, and finding a place for him would have been very difficult. Anyway, the news is that he will be replaced with Randal Kolo Muani. He had a good stint with Eintracht Frankfurt so far, scoring 5 goals from 14 matches. Previously he was with Nantes.

I also don't wanna do underestimate any team but the situation like then is no longer  available. Japan of that time and compared to the Japan of today, it is no longer possible.  But that doesn't mean I underestimate them. But they could take some benefits of first if they can survive in front of France. Even I don't think they can long for last in this world cup cause they are performed eventually not so good.

I don't quite understand what you are talking about, Japan is in the same group with Germany and Spain, and its chances of leaving the group are extremely low. Costa Rica will be the clear outsider of the group, Japan may try to compete with Germany and Spain, but I doubt they will have a good chance of doing so. The results of Germany were not very impressive in the last matches, but I think that at the World Cup everything will be different.

At the end of the day all we can do is just wait until Qatar and Ecuador start the first match in a few days.
That's the only thing that matters, how many goals Qatar and Ecuador can score. That's it. Everything else is just noise.
I think Ecuador will win that match, but again, Qatar might surprise us all. We'll have to wait and see.

I still have a feeling that something big may happen in Group A. At this point, we are expecting that Ecuador and Netherlands will qualify to the next round without much trouble. But I have my doubts. Netherlands is not in great form for the last two years or so, and Ecuador has been bogged down by the controversy surrounding Byron Castillo. On the other hand, the other two teams have been in great form. Qatar recently had a few upset wins against European club sides, and Senegal has been doing well within their confederation (CAF).

yes we can't underestimate the host, we can see the history of WC 2002 where Korea and Japan could advance to the round of 16 and Korea could reach the semifinals, but for Qatar it looks like it will be difficult even though it's full. support, because the competition in Group A is very tight with the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador cannot be taken lightly, and what Qatar might be able to do in this world cup is how to get points when dealing with teams in this group, and give maximum resistance to the opponent

There is no special treatment for the host country in world cup matches. If the host didn't play well against their opponents, they are not qualifying to round 16, simply. Netherlands and Senegal won't allow Qatar to win them so easily because they are the host country.

All hope is for them to qualify out of the group stage no matter what. It will be a big blow to the country and its citizens if they are kicked out of the group stage after all their preparation for the host of the world cup.

The host of the world cup competition is given some indirect benefits. Qatar leaving the tournament at the group stage might affect ticket sales and the turnout of fans. The presence of the host team motivates its citizens to go to the stadium to watch matches. FIFA is aware that empty stadiums await the tournament if the host exit early. But this doesn't dispute the fact that if the host team underperforms they would be eliminated early.

We seem not to consider Ecuador in this group. This country has a very strong team that can pull surprises in this tournament.

Senegal is a strong team in Group A. But I don't think they will qualify easily. The Netherlands is also a strong team. My guess is the Netherlands will top the group. Also, the Qatar team should not be considered weak. They are the host team. And I think they get some extra benefits as hosts. So while Netherlands and Senegal from Group A are more likely to qualify, it won't be easy for them.

The question is how much will being a home tim help Qatar. I don't know how popular football in Qatar is. If there is not enough home fans, than I'm not sure that there will be a great atmosphere that we all are used to in home games. I would say that for now (at least until their first match) I would say that they are the biggest mistery of this World Cup. All I could find is that they have one lost game against Canada and one draw against Chile few months ago.

I wasn't talking about referee helping Qatar in their matches. I was talking about home atmosphere that often helps players to perform a little better and to find that extra amount of strength when it's needed. I wonder how many people will travel to Qatar to see their national team playing. No one likes to see empty stadiums at the World Cup. We will see how much people in Qatar love football and will they attend the matches of other nations.

The presence of Mane in the Senegalese team provides them confidence and inspiration to take on any team they are playing against. Even though Mane will miss their first World Cup match in Qatar due to injury, leaving him out will be disastrous for the entire team. They would much rather keep him in the squad so he can rest up and play the remaining matches. Mane will play in the World Cup, I'm confident of that because Senegal desperately needs him. Last time I checked, their coach, Cisse, did not leave him behind.

It's not just a matter of will he play or not. He will surely bring more confidence to the team just by being there with them. Besides, I'm pretty sure they would never leave him. Maybe if he couldn't travel because of the injury. Like I said before, I really hope that they manage to qualify for the next round.

That actually doesn't surprise me as he is their best player so they will do everything they can for him to recover from his injury and play in the World Cup. If they manage to advance to the next stage, maybe he will be recovered enough to play. And I'm sure that they would rather have him in their team than not putting him on the list and then regretting it later if he recovers.

Group A Netherlands and Senegal will easily qualify from the preliminary but Ecuador will be a threat
Group B England and USA and Wales could surprise
Group C Argentina will be easy and Poland will follow
Group D France and Denmark don't seem to have any problems
Group E Spain and Germany but Japan seem capable of thwarting one of Spain and Germany
Group F Belgium and Croatia
Group G Brazil will destroy all opponents in this group, Switzerland may be the one to accompany
Group H Portugal and who will follow who qualify from this group will be tight because 3 countries Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea have the same chance.

You think that Senegal have a chance to advance to the next stage even without Mane? I'm not sure... He is their key player. His injury could really be a chance for Ecuador or Qatar.

Yes, everyone knows Mane is a key player in Senegal, and Senegal had to suffer a lot when Mane was injured, but the good news is that Mane is still on the list of players Senegal brought to the World Cup, and is now trying to recover. with a shaman, this sounds strange but it takes a miracle to cure it. in order to be able to play in the world cup hopefully mane recovers and can play for the 2022 qatar world cup

Sadio Mané will always be a mainstay for his country, because this player is what Senegal expects, even though there are many Senegalese players who are of higher quality, but Sadio Mané brings change on the field, that's why they use spiritual things that are still believed in in their country, I believe that using the media of shamans for treatment is faster in healing injuries for players, we'll just have to wait and see how Sadio Mané develops when the World Cup relations begin, whether to play or not...

Senegal did well to include Mane in their squad. Mane might miss the first one or two matches, before the 3rd match he might recover to play only if his country didn't crash out before then.
Naturally Mane is a strong guy and a guy that loves his country, he will do everything possible to feature for his country.
