LOL... keyscore44 believes that spending a ton of money would automatically mean a better experience for the fans. Personally I felt that the 2018 World Cup was much better organized. Even the 2014 edition was much better than the bland version we had in Qatar. In both cases (2014/2018), the host nations made sure that the guests are treated like royalty and did their best to showcase the local culture and customs. On the other hand, Qataris were very busy in splashing their money and show to the world how rich they are.

I think it is important to remember that football is what people care about. That's the core thing and I agree that Qatar may have been not so great but the final was great and if all the games were like that then I would have agreed. However, when you do not have a nation who doesn't have a proper football team, then it is going to be boring because the culture is not there.

These are three football playing countries. US and Mexico have even hosted the world cup before. So, there's clearly not going to be any controversies because it's all going to be as expected.

I think that's already expected because large flocks of people from different parts of the world will indeed be going towards North America to watch the World Cup games and it's also expected that these countries will heighten their gates to avoid people who are taking advantage of the event and will only let people who are only approved to enter these stated countries that will hold the games. And for the approved people, there's nothing to worry about because the upcoming world cup will be much looser from restrictions like foods and liquors, what they have to do is just enjoy the whole event because North America houses free countries.

Also I believe that the next World Cup will be bigger then the current one, because they won’t like to be under the shadow of Qatar hence I expect them to overspend to make it bigger than the Qatar one.

Seems like a bit of a hassle, and I guess some fans will only go to one country, also there might be visa issues.

In terms of availability of alcohol, I can assure you that fans will not be disappointed in either of these three countries. I am more worried about the visa formalities. Getting a tourist visa to the US can be next to impossible, especially if you are residing in some of the third world nations such as India or Indonesia. I don't know much about Mexico and Canada, but hopefully getting a visa to these countries should be a lot easier. But then, almost 80% of the matches are scheduled to be held in the United States. What I don't want is fans spending their hard earned money in purchasing tickets and then not getting a chance to watch the matches as a result of visa complications.

To be fair over half of the football fans in the world drinks something while watching the game, it may not be good for your health or anything but it's their right to do so and banning that is not acceptable. Telling Europeans and south Americans to not drink? That is a silly thing to do, they literally watch something just so they can have a drink, they literally spend time in the pubs watching games. Hell half of Brits spend their weekends watching a game in pub getting their drink on.

So, to say that it is not allowed just because Qatar wants respect for their culture? That is a low blow, if you want respect for your culture, then respect other cultures as well, you were the one who invited everyone to your nation.

I don't know about others, but I am finding club football quite boring nowadays. On the other hand, World Cup is where you will find a lot of diversity and representation from all around the world. And further more, the team bonding and cohesion is much better when compared to league football, as the players are motivated by patriotism and not by money. You are right, it's the same way I often feel at times, club football is in our faces all the time, they are one too many that sometimes, we even confuse one for the other, and like we know about commodities, when they become always available and common, it loses its high value, becomes cheap and quite boring..

Club football is pure business, both the club owners and players, they don't play for the patriotism or for the love of football, they play for the money, and this can never be compared to world cup tournament where we see patriotic players play for the love of football and their country, and not for the love of money.

That's the difference between leagues and world cups ,when a team is involved in game via patriotism and are connected with fans of their countries that's a whole new feeling and vibe .
Similarly league football is totally about shallow things the players even are not connected and you can feel the distant behaviour of players even in the game .

Very well said mate, in a team where players come and go, sold and bought, they are all paid salaries based on their supposed worth, it is very possible for them to be disconnected from each other, and some of the emotions that we might not be able to see on screen is the envy and jealousy that is displayed in-house(that is in the background), for where ever money is the sole purpose why people gather, you are sure to find this two emotions there(envy and jealousy)..

The fact remains that, club football, can never be fun and interesting as Fifa world cup tournaments, for reasons that are already obvious, but then, who cares, business must go one and money must be made.

I don't know about others, but I am finding club football quite boring nowadays. On the other hand, World Cup is where you will find a lot of diversity and representation from all around the world. In simple terms, it is having the same quality as club football (or even better) without the greed for money. And further more, the team bonding and cohesion is much better when compared to league football, as the players are motivated by patriotism and not by money. Even the fans behave well in world cup, when compared to the leagues.

You are right, it's the same way I often feel at times, club football is in our faces all the time, they are one too many that sometimes, we even confuse one for the other, and like we know about commodities, when they become always available and common, it loses its high value, becomes cheap and quite boring..

Club football is pure business, both the club owners and players, they don't play for the patriotism or for the love of football, they play for the money, and this can never be compared to world cup tournament where we see patriotic players play for the love of football and their country, and not for the love of money.

That's the difference between leagues and world cups ,when a team is involved in game via patriotism and are connected with fans of their countries that's a whole new feeling and vibe .
Similarly league football is totally about shallow things the players even are not connected and you can feel the distant behaviour of players even in the game .
