Brazil is still a solid team, it's just that it is hard to keep always the first spot, forever.

Also the other teams are getting better as well. Brazil will no doubt qualify for this world cup.

In this world cup there are also more spots available so it makes it even easier for Brazil to qualify even if they are not performing at their best this time around.

Why would a team that once ruled the entire football world falter without one player? This is now the question of thousands of football fans? The history of the Brazilian football team is probably known to everyone who understands football well. Comparing their past performance and current performance shows a stark difference. We all know and accept that Brazil produces the most star players in the world of football.

Yet why would they perform poorly year after year without just Neymar, they need a replacement for Neymar who will be able to lead the team forward properly. Currently Brazil team has many talented players but they are not ready to give their best for the sake of their country. For example, Vinicius Jr. is currently rocking the field for Real Madrid, his playing skills are very high, yet we have not seen him perform so brilliantly in the national team. He is one of the worthy contenders to win this year's Ballon d'Or for his good performance at the club level. If any team in the world depends entirely on one player, it may not be possible for that team to progress, as is currently happening with the Brazilian team.

Brazil performance decline was due to chaos behind the scenes, at the management level, which resulted in their inconsistency on the field. This happened before the Copa America, and it was proven that they failed to reach the final match even though they were favored. The appointment of Dorival Junior as manager was also questioned, he was considered less qualified to manage players the dominant ones are star players. The depth of the Brazilian squad is fairly even, but currently, they have failed to meet expectations. Finding a new manager seems to be a must, and it is better to do it immediately so that Brazil can easily qualify from the World Cup qualifying round.

The match against Chile will take place in mid-October, where Brazil should be able to secure full points more easily, because Chile has a much worse performance. When Neymar still playing with Brazil i have to says the performance of this team is still stable but when Neymar absense Brazil has poor records and we can see it based on Brazil statistics without Neymar that he was last time playing with Brazil on October last year and since that month Brazil was playing total 13 matches in all competitions without him until qualification matches against Paraguay few weeks ago and we can see Brazil only can able to gets 4 wins from those matches so it's clearly Brazil can't do anything without Neymar

Although in Brazil there were some world class players available such as Vinicius or Rodrygo but these players is still unable to bringing Brazil to performing well and some people has their opinion why Brazil playing just like mediocre team because this team has lost their soul which called Jogo Bonito and the current players don't have this spirit and the last Jogo Bonito player is Neymar but unfortunately he was injury prone and Neymar's age is not young anymore now 32 years old so he have already to passed his prime

I think not having a balanced squad is the biggest problem for Brazil. somehow it feels like they forget how to play if they do not have Neymar in the squad. Whenever I look at Brazil I think it is a squad full of wingers. for a long time, I think that the Brazilian squad doesn't have a great coach who will be able to bring out the best from the players as well. If we see the recent performances from them in the big tournaments we will see that they did have good players but for some reason, they were unable to show performances which was actually expected from them. I don't know if it is because the players from Brazil are actually self-centered or they don't have good tactics from the coach, I think it might be both. The chemistry between the players is not good at all. At least that's what I think.

Argentina was able to win the World Cup because of sheer determination. There were a lot of squads better than Argentina in this World Cup. But the determination and the tactics were better from Argentina.

If this is true, then it shows that Brazil national team will be nothing to write home about because the best players will not be selected into the team that will make the team become successful in their matches.

Corruption destroys a lot of activities that is suppose to become successful and in football it is the worst because the best players might be deprived from being part of the team. This is what is also happening in my country and that have left laxity in the team and a problem of getting the best results out from the team.

Where did you see such rumours about players being recruited by the national team due to political connections inside the government? I really believe the managers of CBF and Brazilian soccer do have their favorite players, and end composing the team based on personal sympathy and aiming financial gains through propaganda, instead of focusing in performance and collective results, but I'm not aware of players connected to the government in anyways. They actually don't talk much about politics, except for Neymar. Anyway, the party he supported didn't win the last elections, so they aren't part of the current government.

You said it all and let's not even go far from here. It is Normal for a team to face challenge of performance but when this poor performance is becoming constant and the management are not making effort to make transformation for things to come better I is certain corruption is just the cause for everything.

Most times why a team struggles it either poor management of money or players not been chosen by merit of skill but by connections. So many national teams that are struggling in poor performance this is the main reason for poor performance outcome , when players and coach are not chosen by the skill they have but being recommended by the bosses at the top. Corruption paralyses football teams so mich, corruption must be far from football because good performance from good skills and when things are done properly.

Corruption is now one of the best skill which is spreading around and having strong hold in developing countries through multinational companies are taking good benefit of this as few are still believed its shape of colonialism with new shape and theory currently sports are the best weapon which is working for them, and they are having strong base into this too many sports organizations are working for big companies and having their strong hold as well. Currently, Brazil is surely suffering and this is not happening in just one or two years it's gripping them for decades, and now they are having strong hold even government can't do anything as they are also having not well stable things around them.

Due to these changes now developed countries are taking good advantage and having benefited with this technology which is helping them for developing their players and system but sadly still numerous countries fail to take advantage because they are suffering badly and having not good things to take advantage of this new changes even we all understand these things are essential for the development of sports and youths which are important for every country's future.

Introducing politics in the football games will literally only cause rapid deterioration in the system of the game because, there wouldn't be appropriate and good player selection as should be normally, rather it would be basis showing everything they do and thst will also affect the performance of players and their productivity in the long run and they may get to the point they will suffer for neglecting it, Brazil is even big a team to really get to suffer this level of mess and it will be worse if they don't get it fixed already. As a team that always makes it to the world cup almost every world cup, it will be bad if the later turn out not been able to qualify for the world cup which means they will not be having the chance of winning it omw day, hopefully Brazil gets pass this some day.

I have to agree with you that Brazil still possesses the ability to win tournaments base on individual talents that the team possesses. They have been many nations that do go far in world tournaments today and they do not by any chance have the quality of players that Brazil possesses, and that’s bring me to the conclusion that it is not only about having the best players in the same team but how much they actually put in to win. This days we all know how most of the player most especially the younger players which Brazil currently have focus on trends instead to develop their games futher. We have seen in this generations where ultimate teams get distracted or do not win anything due to lack of effort

Let’s take for example the current world champions Argentina. The Argentina squad that went to 2014 World Cup finals and also the back to back loses to Chile in the Copa America finals are better than the current squad they have now if we compare players base on the individual talents but this current squad looks unstoppable due to their commitment than the former squad

It's a bit of a delicate situation, because Brazil's bad streak is strange, first of all if we look at the squad, they don't have bad players, in fact the bench is enough to finish off any team, only the management seems to me to be bad, now if there is corruption it will be, I imagine, in the payments, in how they handle the selection, their benefits, everything can be affected and well there is corruption, it's difficult because corruption exists in football, in FIFA, but I don't know to what extent it can affect so much.

Agree with this at 100% now soccer is much about tactics statistics and more math things, is not more a dancing or a natural play. Its become more and more similar to the FUTSAL games, were you have super skillfull players but when you see a game is boring because they are super atached to the optimal game which is pure tactics, and BRazilian are not so good in the discipline so this is  new football is not good for them.

Soccer is no more traditional game with many changes already happen and few more are going to bring things more exciting for the soccer fans so now it's time for organizations to bring changes as well which improve their quality and also having better results with consistency.

In Brazilian soccer, we are having many big cooperation are also involved which are having their interest and just because of these things are getting the worst day by day quality is problem with too many stars are available, but they are not able to perform as team because things are not favourable for them to have right players on right places.

Neymar is hyped player with many new generation players are having good quality, but they are not able to perform as they needed which is completely coaching fault they need creative coach who can bring good technique and also having good depth in players as well for me Zidane or Carlos Ancelotti can do changes, but both are not ready to go there due to personal reasons.

Well what do you expect, the nation itself is among the top which is corrupted in the world and same thing happen here too in my own nation because corruption has eaten it up deeply and there are so many wrongs on going that makes it difficult for the glory of the team to be seen. For some reason they still have all the players and quality but corruption has made it so deep that those who are qualified to play aren't called and vice versa.

No one could be disagreed with you about this because we all know Brazil is big country with too many problems and political instability is having huge impact on them as well in last few decades we are having serious downfall into their soccer quality even they are still producing one of the best players around the world, but we are having issues in selections and many other factors as many big companies are also involved in few things which are creating problems, and they are going down badly.

They need to work on their domestic setup which can give them a lot of big players and also good leading players as well which are currently no available, and they are suffering even they are having good funds and things are still manageable but due to few rules they are not able to bring quality coaches which can bring revolutionary changes which are essential for their survival in near future if they fail to bring changes then surely we can have the worst things are coming in next few years which can give them huge setback as well.

There's no point in doing so anymore. I don't think the Brazilian national team will ever return to the good old days of great titles. Corruption is so ingrained in the highest authority in Brazilian football that it's practically impossible to end it. I believe this was the main reason why Carlo Ancelotti turned down the invitation to be coach. After all, what renowned coach wouldn't love to coach the greatest national team in the world? He would only refuse for obscure reasons or interference in his work. It's very sad to see what's happening to the team. It's going to be very difficult for them to overcome this with the current management model of the CBF.

They do need to win every game left to provide something to fans. To be fair it is fine even if they do not go to World Cup this way at all, because right now they suck and looking terrible and because of that I think it's clear that we are going to see them fail at world cup and be terrible as well. This is why I think not going is even better, sure that would be a disappointment not going which could be first time I can remember, I don't know when was the last time they didn't even go, but if they go and do terrible and lose all their games at group stages then why even go?

This is why they should not even go and fire the manager and make some big changes, that way they would be doing fine and they would be able to actually make some solid changes. You need a shock to the system sometimes to be better and this could be their shock, that way they will have to accept that something is wrong and that would be a great situation for them to change everything.

I didn't personalised Brazil in the case discussion from the previous comment and stated it clearly there. But used my country experience to reach other countries that having the same thing. And one thing you have to know is that, the Government can't remove those corrupt leaders from the National Football Team because they were strong supporters for the election and he used that to patronised them. And now they are part of the decision making committee in the parliament so it will be very difficult for the government to replacement them unless a protest from the players of the fans.

What are the factors of corrupt government.
1. When the government is not doing what supposed do to help the people from poverty and inflation (weak institutions)
2. poor representatives. Those who supposed speak for the citizens, masses and the poor are in support of the government. And examples of such poor representatives are. The National House Assembly, The Judiciary and the Law Enforcement Agencies, and the constitution is abandoned.
3. Nepotism: when the government has been taken as a family affair. That is all key positions in the government are from the president family.
4. And other Micro-Economic deficiencies are left to the faith of the poor to suffer. Then no public institutions can do well in anything again because all what they do is for the benefit of the members of the parliament and not the people in the public.

I can recalled when Brazil government was good without corruption to this level, the National Football Team was doing well both locally and internationally but things changed probably when the government was changed. And those leaders are not bothered even though the team is n bad shape and all they want is their monthly pay and other allowances. But when good leadership take over things will come back to good again.
