The last World Cup was more or less ok. A friend of mine also talked about this Brazilian team, but I didn't know that it is as bad as this. How did they even manage to lose 4 games?. This is not the Brazil I grew up watching. They've lost 4 games, and haven't even played against Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay that are top teams. This is so sad. Almost half of the soccer fans in the world won't give a damn about the World Cup if Brazil doesn't qualify for the World Cup and I believe the Brazilian team will definitely qualify for the World Cup. This period in the history of Brazilian football may be the worst period for Brazil because Brazil has never been this bad before. Brazil has now become a local team where they are neither performing well nor winning any matches. Brazil has big stars but these big stars are not performing well. Argentina lost it's acceptable because any team can lose two games to one but if Brazil continues their losing streak they won't be in a good position in the points table for a while.

Surprisingly I find my national team to be the opposite. I guess one key factor is that most players are not playing in our national league, so they're not comfortable playing at our home stadium. Granted if the grass or stadium condition is a little bit better they should be able to play better. It feels funny seeing comments that say my national team plays better on away games.

Speaking of away trips, how early do football teams need to arrive at the away stadium before the match? I read somewhere that they need to stand by 2-3 before kick-off, but I think this applies to league matches, not World Cup competitions. Does FIFA regulate this too or does each national team prepare on their own?
