I don't know if you're Brazilian, but you want to know my opinion, since you mentioned favelas!?

Currently in Brazil, professional soccer, the kind that really turns a talented person into a star player targeted by big teams, is only taught in schools that few can afford. Those who are talented, but poor and live in favelas, no longer have anywhere to play... poor people in cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo no longer have a place to play soccer, and this is something that extends to many other cities as well, since you don't see soccer fields anywhere that children and adults had access to, close to home.

Of course, the reason for this is also the lack of interest in the sport. I think Brazilians are no longer as passionate about soccer as they were a few decades ago.

There is none who expects to see Indonesia getting better results and we all know they are going to lose it. I think Japan will start the game with an attacking style and they will definitely try to score the goal and win the game because Indonesia trying to play defensive or start destroying the game.
The fact about Indonesia is they even lost the game against China while couldn't win any game before Indonesia. If China could beat Indonesia I think Japan will definitely win this match much more easily.

Indonesia's defeat to China in the last match was partly because the coach rotated players and implemented a different strategy, so that made their game not run well and coordination in the back line also did not work. The 2 goals that China managed to score were also inseparable from the mistakes of Indonesia's defense line which was wrong in anticipating the ball. After they changed their strategy in the second half, their game looked better and the defense was more solid.

I do not think we are going to see them get any great wins or anything, we are going to see them have a lot of trouble. They could be recovering, they could be doing fine, but they may actually end up keep being bad as well, which is why I believe we are going to end up with a worse Brazil and not taking any risks betting on them makes sense.

Of all the Brazil and Argentina matches I've seen so far, the most competitive match I've ever seen was the last Copa America final between Brazil and Argentina. Brazil and Argentina continued to compete until the last minute and tried to score against each other but Di María's brilliant finish left Brazil 1-0 down and Brazil could not come back from the spot.

Since then Argentina have had good times and Argentina have won many major titles including the World Cup tournament but Brazil have remained in their previous state. Now looking at the performance of Brazil in some friendly matches, it seems that it is very difficult for them to play for the national team and they may not play well for the national team. But in the last few matches the Brazilian players have shown hope again and hopefully they will bounce back from here.

It's interesting, I've always seen Indonesia as one of the countries that can give and offer the most surprises in a World Cup, I've seen how they play and I like it, it's not just because it's the country, it's that they play well, I'm also surprised by China, honestly China has had an improvement that can't be set aside or go unnoticed, the fact that the new format of the World Cup has changed for more, gives these countries the opportunity to fight much more to get to the World Cup, and this is something that is seen from miles away, of all of them, I would like to see Indonesia in the USA, it's a team that for me shows promise.

Why would one just be assuming that Messi isn't in a good shape to play probably because of his age meanwhile the only valid factor that can stop him now almost immediately would be an injury and until he makes it official that he's mot fit to play anymore or probably dims it okay to retire, i will still see him as one who can still play as he still posses his skill to the fullest and still can play but may not be able to play long enough for age but he is still in a good shape and form.

Brazil improved its performance recently with the introduction of Luiz Henrique and Igor Jesus to the national team, as we can see on the two most recent matches against Chile and Peru. I understand many gamblers are fearful to place bets on brazilian matches, but if you are following the matches one by one and the players involved on each of them, you will reach a conclusion about how strong Brazil is right now.

Of course it's too early to assure Brazil has good chances against stronger teams, like Argentina and some european ones, but I believe they are on their way to find a new efficient composition of players for the team. Some adjustments are still needed, but I believe they can reach there by the next world cup in 2026.

Thing is that Brazil is by far not the team that I thought it was. The good old days are quite over at the moment. I remember when it still felt as if Brazil is invincible. But now they are dropping points all the time and when they win a game, they don't do so in a convincing fashion. Almost all of the games are very close and they are not as dominant anymore despite having some of the best players. I don't know if that is a coaching thing or something else, but it is weird to see a football nation like Brazil to struggle so hard during the World Cup qualification.
