And without a doubt this will make the next world cup the most profitable ever, not only the number of games and the TV rights will influence this, but simply the ability of having a beer at the stadium or being able to enjoy yourself on the street without worrying about being arrested will make the next world cup way more successful, after all there were many fans which boycotted the world cup at Qatar due to the many different issues that presented themselves before and during the world cup.

Initially the FIFA was planning for a 40 team competition. This was the plan proposed by the then FIFA Gianni Infantino (March 2016). The decision to expand the world cup to 48 teams was taken by the FIFA Council on 2017. But I am not sure about the total number of matches. Initially they were planning for 80, with 3 teams each in 16 groups. But now the format has changed, and there will be 4 teams in each of the 12 groups. So the total number of matches are going to go up to 104. Finalists will play a total of 8 matches.

Regardless of the challenges, one might expect these host nations to face as they prepare for the world, the outcome would be far better than what was experienced in Qatar. The US, Canada, and Mexico are democratic societies that respect the right of people including immigrants. I don't think the abuse and exploitation of workers would be as high as the Qatari experience.

Qatar is not a football nation, therefore they had to start preparing from the scratch for the world cup. But these triple hosts in North America have enough basic amenities that would make the tournament successful. Most stadiums or other basic amenities might just need renovations to make them meet FIFA standards.

We are also expecting to also have a more fan-friendly WorldCup where fans wouldn't be restricted by cultural and other religious beliefs.

That is how companies push the legal system and walk in a grey zone so they can get things done while saving as much money as possible. Whether it is in the Middle East or in North-America, hiring a citizenship with education to work in a project will be most of the times more expensive than giving the job to an immigrant without education and papers for them to claim the same benefits a citizenship would be entitled to.

The difference is that in North America, it will be more difficult to shady people in power to pull such thing off.

Is it confirmed that 48 teams will play in WorldCup 26? I heard all this was rumor, but if it happens man this event will not be fun like we had in these past events. A total of 80 match!


Let's see how they organize with such distance between countries and teams have to make travel between the games which is very struggling for players. I admit that football (they call it soccer ) is not popular in USA but it is football and I'm sure fans from all over the world will gather and make it amazing as they did this time in Qatar. Qatar was a perfect example of how should an event can be organized.

If world cup will be hosted by 3 country is not even a problem but the problem is that the countries that will be hosting the World cup have serious restrictions of allowing people to come into their countries . That means countries being restricted can't have any chance of travelling to go watch the world cup.

I also know about that and it's really regrettable, I believe every country has safety rules for construction workers in their country but construction entrepreneurs ignore them, but the government in the country in North America has strict rules against every construction company in the country

The 2026 World Cup will have its own impressions and challenges for the fans because the distance between the stadiums is very far and I'm curious how the transportation arrangements will be there

I think that this is a new innovation, so i believe that they want to make it to be easy for people so that they can be able to host the world cup very easy, the way I'm seeing it, so therefore i believe, it will be able have a different from the one we have already seen or host last year which is 2022 it was nice and coordinated the way it was organised before.so they are looking up to standards.

As the FIFA World Cup have got over, players will move towards different clubs for their regular championship. Separate team will be playing for the country to get qualified for the FIFA 2026. More players who had been part of the 2022 World Cup won't be available in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. More senior players leave and turn to be the coach and different other positions. And now it's too early to pick the team for each nation.

It is not possible for Argentina to achieve what they achieved in this world cup in the next world cup. In the next world cup it can even be a shock that a team a small team that has never been showing good performance can be the team to win the World cup. Just like Morocco that was close to the finals.

Indeed, you should try to give up Messi as the team's foundation in attack, if they don't immediately get a strategy or new players who can fill the void, it seems that it will be increasingly difficult to defend the world cup title. I'm not sure if Argentina will keep the same performance in the 2022 world cup and surely there will be more and more senior players who might retire, not only messi in that discussion.

This is still very surprising to me for team to be moving form one country to another which do not make it the regular world cup that we used to know. I think there is reason for that which should be disclosed to us but still don't know. Anyhow the FIFA set the next world cup to be depend on them. I hope to see old country that had taken the world cup to win this time.

Well, this is exactly what my concern was and i stated it few pages back, but another user( cant recall the name right now) replied and said that the world cup tournaments have become bigger than every single country in the world, and as that, it is no longer a tournament that should be hosted by one country alone, he finds nothing wrong in FIFA deciding to host the 2026 world cup in three different countries.

Personally, like ive said before, tourists, that is those who will be traveling to view the match played live would be the ones at a loss, as they wont be able to watch all the games, international journalists/news outlets are gonna have to spend much more too, as they will have to hire more hands, fly each of them to one of this countries each so they can be able to cover all the happenings in this three countries, if they dont do it this way, logistics might end up being a big problem for them.
This is my thought though.    

The US, Mexico and Canada are not countries that are super strict with their rules, they prioritize the satisfaction of visitors who are in their countries because it is part of marketing. in fact I'm sure the fans will be allowed to bring liquor and even flares into the stadium, very different from Qatar. hosting the 2026 world cup will definitely be a huge success again and there will be no controversy.

why did they do that? How will teams be moving from one country to another country
Or maybe the pool matches will happen in one country - the quarterfinal in another and the semifinal and final in another country - but this means that teams will be traveling as soon as the match ends.

 

What nonsense is this guy talking? in africa as i am african we all know that the only teams that are dominant are nigeria, camer, senegal, ivory coast, ghana, egypt, morocco, tunisia, so these are the teams that will always be in the world cup with this new model and no doubt these teams have no chance of reaching the world cup final, so what the hell is this guy talking about?

we all know that in africa soccer federations there is a lot of corruption that even for players to be able to play in their country's team to represent the world cup they need to pay large amounts of money or they will not be called up to play and this gentleman knows that and it does nothing, we all know that in the local African leagues the teams are beggars, they are so poor that they cannot pay the players meager wages and cannot pay the prize when a team wins the league

this gentleman as president of CAF does nothing but watch everything, we all know about the corruption for the organization of the African games, the countries with the most money in Africa benefit from a lot thanks to corruption, he is still dreaming of winning the cup of the world while there is still so much to be resolved internally? he can go on dreaming into infinity, it's just an impossible dream so soon

Usually in the early rounds or the group phase the spectators will focus on the national team from their country and if a team from that country plays in Mexico then they will be in Mexico first until the group phase is over and after that see which country will be the venue for their country, not a hard thing in my opinion. I haven't seen whether Mexico or Canada will only get a spot for group stage matches, if so then spectators will only need visas in two countries.
If anyone says Argentina will win the next World Cup again, it's only the people from Argentina and as far as I know, no country has been able to win 2x in a row apart from Brazil and Italy but that was a long time ago.

Since I have been watching World Cup it only one country that normally host the world,  now am confuse how will three countries host the world cup.  That means people that will come watch the world cup can only be in one country that will only host few matches. One country hosting world is the best , for visitors to watch all matches live.
