I won't be too surprised if Brazil gets kicked out from the top-10 in FIFA ranking. They have been in decline for quite some time now. Domestic leagues are of poor quality and therefore the promising players pack their bags and go to either Europe or North America. As a result, there is absolutely no team bonding within the squad. Because the only time these players are together is when they represent the national team (and that occurs not too frequently). Once Neymar retires, I am quite sure that the quality will go down even further.

It is really not impossible for Brazil to be out of top 10 in the FIFA rankings. The current rankings for top 10 is like below:

Brazil have had a really bad form so far and they will hope for some recovery with their new coach Dorival Júnior. But there is really no guarantee for Brazil at the moment. After failing about Ancelotti we will see how much this new coach can contribute to the team. Brazil have amazing players that they can really do much more than now. Like Argentina have achieved it new, I hope Brazil can win the World Cup in the near future too (the last one was in 2002).  Smiley

I agree with you. In fact, Brazil should try very hard to be out of the top ten in the world because currently they still have a good amount of points even if they are on the bad days and they could get good results yet. I don't really have any hope in Dorival Júnior and I'm sure this unknown coach won't give anything specially for Brazil but I know Brazil needs a bigger chance because, unlike the old days when they had many superstars in the team, they are not in the good form and Brazil is getting far from the good days they had before. Dorival Júnior is an experienced coach but if you check the teams he coached you can understand he does not have any non-Brazilan experience and worked just in Brazil.

Dorival is an excellent coach, he was coach of the team I follow (Flamengo) and revolutionized the issue of athletes' interpersonal relationships, they all liked him a lot... Flamengo had some players with relationship problems, with the arrival of Dorival this problem has definitely been resolved... He has a way of dealing with athletes that is very important in competitive teams.

Even though Brazil has a shortage of good athletes, I think Dorival will do better than Tite and Dunga, who were the last coaches.

I don't really know what to think coach and all I know about Dorival is what I saw on the news or some articles about this Brazilian coach but I know Dorival didn't work in any team outside of his own country and This means Dorival is not even familiar with the foreign teams from other country and what strategy they use in Europe which is not good. Also as I can see from his past experience he never worked as a national coach which is another negative point.
However, you are right Dorival is a good coach and he has lots of experience but I think Brazil could have a much better coach than him if they open doors to the coaches from other countries.

Of course, the present Brazil players are bad and they have not taken the bold step to defend their country in football and keep the record on, like the past heros of Brazil did. This is why they are now rated 7 on the table because there are countries that have strong players that are determined to win the world cup for their country, no matter the sacrifice that it will take.

Maybe as time passes by, we will see that spirit of football once again in Brazil, by the upcoming players but not these ones anymore, because they hardly go far in the world cup, especially when are playing with strong countries. Brazil is the most recognized country when it comes to football back days, but now I don't think so.

I completely disagree with you!

I don't believe that Brazilian players are playing worse than they did a few decades ago, the "problem" is that football is more balanced among all countries in the world.
Once only the best had access to technology and training that made a difference in the field, today knowledge and techniques are spread across all countries.
Proof of this was the impressive performance of African teams in the last World Cup and the terrible results of several European teams that were disqualified much earlier than expected.... did they play worse? Obviously not.

There is practically no favoritism in football anymore and this will increasingly decrease. At each World Cup we will have a new surprise.

I don't mean the countries, but the football teams. Are you going to tell me that any of these national teams are competitive teams?
All the teams that you say are very competitive, the level of football from a few years ago has been much lower, that has already happened, there are very strong teams, Colombia, the Peruvians themselves, Chile, Venezuela, they all have players who have made careers Also in Europe, just the pure qualifying rounds are to die for, in fact if you start to watch the qualifying rounds Brazil is one of the countries that are strongest, but at the moment it is not in first place nor in second place in the classification for the World Cup, because most countries are no longer Cinderellas, absolutely everyone has raised the level.

They are not countries where football is horrible as you say, each one has their own technique, and their way of defending their style of play, that the game of Argentina and Brazil always stands out and something else, and yet, right now they stand out because they have the help from MESSI, and it cannot be denied that Messi enjoys many privileges worldwide, it is even reflected in the arbitrations, but that is another issue, what matters here is that these countries have a very good level, in fact in one Some days there will be some friendlies with some countries in Europe, we will see what level they are at, although I don't know, it may be that only those on the bench will play.

Brazil gets kicked out from the top ten standings FIFA ranking is not surprised with their bad performance currently in qualifier round, I think have opportunity to get more points and move the higher standings again if can win upcoming match in qualifier on March and the best result in Copa America at June 2024.
Brazil have many youth talent but difficult for winning every matches in qualifier round, upcoming two friendly matches at the end this month against England and Spain Brazil have to win if want back to the top standings FIFA ranking. Next schedule win Copa America will help more for returning to the top standings rank again as the first position teams.

Brazil during its preparations usually faces the most horrible teams possible, such as Venezuela, Ecuador, etc., it is very rare to see friendlies or preparatory games against major European teams. The reality is that this generation of players is very, very bad, it's even sad to remember that we once had Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Romario and so many others on the team and see today's team. Horrible

For now, I don't think so, but in the future after the 2026 World Cup, this could happen considering that Brazil is currently different from what it used to be when it was strong team.
But I applaud Brazil for still being able to be at the top of the FIFA rankings even though they have experienced decline, they must really build much better team for the future.
And indeed what you say is true if the Domestic League is not going well because it is experiencing backwardness and they are far behind the League in Europe, this is also the reason why many Brazilian players choose to go to Europe.
Only Brazilian player who has always been mainstay in several seasons is Neymar, it just that he is no longer like he used to be and is currently experiencing several problems related to his physical and health conditions.
Moreover, calling players to come back and defend the national team is not an easy matter, and of course the departure of the players to Europe is also the reason why they rarely get together to train and focus on the Brazilian national team.

I remember when I was in secondary school, that was when Brazil was super hot. Yes, those were great times for Brazil, I also saw it from 1990 to 2002, which was the last time I saw Brazil glory days.
After that, it seemed several times that Brazil had the opportunity to make history again, but in reality all the chances and chances were in vain.
Maybe now we will be very healthy or even impossible to see the times like before.

That's a true story about all teams and even the best teams in the world will fall one day and they will have bad days, there is even the possibility for Brazil to never return to the gold days they had before. We can't forget that Brazil is the most honorable team in the world even with the current performance we see from the team.
I think the main problem for Brazil is to sticking to the traditions while the traditions can't help the team in this situation, they avoid using any non-Brazilian coach and that's why they can't use the knowledge from outside of their nation,
While Brazil is a country where you can find many talents and good players there is not a good management system to help them have better performance for their team.
For example, we saw teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona buy young Brazilian talented players during this season but all these young players need better coaches.

A good coach really makes all the difference. But even with the talented young people we have in Brazil today, they don't compare to those of the past, look, which Brazilian player today is fully capable of competing for the best player in the world award? none.... They are just good players and nothing more.

A winning generation takes many years to be polished, for me Brazil will be there for many more years until it returns to the good times.

I really don't understand how you call "horrible" those countries that despite their deficiencies, thanks to their politicians, ....

I really don't understand how you call "horrible" those countries that despite their deficiencies, thanks to their politicians, have incredible natural beauty with abundant water that can be made drinkable and with extensive reserves of gold, oil and so on. I think it's a word. very derogatory to describe them, those countries are growing a lot in football terms and if you look at the South American countries they have beaten European countries many times, as you say, there is the clear example of Argentina and Brazil, they are the biggest icons that have a great level but you cannot speak ill of the countries that face these football titans, in addition the South American qualifiers are the most difficult that exist in football, the weather conditions that they sometimes have to face when it is their turn to play the qualifiers for the World Cup are very difficult, sometimes you have to go from a stadium in Barranquilla (Colombia) with almost more than 40C° at the height of Bolivia at more than 4083 meters above sea level, where basically if you run you run out of air and you There is a lack of oxygen in the brain, many South American teams do not qualify, I am sure that if Brazil and Argentina were in Europe they would leave out big teams like Portugal, Italy, among others, so a comparison like that does not seem correct to me.

Nor can I say that the level of European football is above that of South America, because most of the players who shine most in European football are South American, at least one is from South America, and possibly from some countries that you consider horrible, which By the way, you don't know what you're missing about what's in those countries.

If we refer merely to the football level, fortunately there are more opinions about the World Cup classification, with Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Bolvia, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela, which have a lot of heart when it comes to playing football. They are countries that If the other teams are not careful, they can easily win a World Cup, because if you look at those "horrible countries" at some point they have beaten those titans like Brazil, Argentina, it may be that in Europe football has more support and more money for give support to the players so they perfect the technique of each of them much more, but pure talent is something that cannot be improvised.

Do not be surprised that in Europe you Hear the Name of Luis Diaz, Luis Suarez, James Rodrigues, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Salomón Rondon , the Fletcher brothers , Messi , Neymar , Juan Arango, among others, at that time he Says when Ronaldo and his Combo were Also shining are Tino Asprilla, Pibe Valderrama, yes, they are players from those countries , just as we also have great European players like CR7 , Haaland, Among others, you will Always see the South Americans Present and Shining.

It is still the past glory that is speaking for Brazil, because at that time most countries have not built their squad that strong. Currently, football is the major center of attraction and entertainment so every country is more serious on it.

But those were different times and I know what you are talking about. I have been asking myself what the biggest problem actually is for Brazilian football and I think when you look back at players like Rivaldo, Ronaldihno, Ronaldo, Kaka, and sorry that I can't mention them all, I think they had a different attitude towards football, towards their career. Yes some of them had scandals and a special lifestyle, but if you compare those players to Neymar, who is beyond any doubt a brilliant player, they have shown more dedication and more focus on the game. Neymar is distracted too much, he is more like an influencer and has all these parties all the time. I think he had the potential to become the world's best player for a year at least. If he played a perfect season, he would have probably been able to compete with Messi and Ronaldo. I don't think for many years in a row, but during his peak seasons. Brazil doesn't have real leaders in the team, correct me if I am wrong. They often lose track and fall apart during games.
Brazil is without doubt one of the best footballing nations and also the most successful club in the world as they've won the World Cup in 5 different occasions which is the most by any nation. Also in the history of football, Brazil have been able to produce some of the biggest football icons. Pele of blessed memory who is regarded as the greatest footballer to have ever played the game of football was a Brazilian before his death and not just him, but also so many other football greats like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Delima, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo and so many others.
Despite all the above mentioned great names, Brazil currently boosts of some of the best footballers in the world but their current problem is finding a manager that can help improve the performance of the team. They can still become very competitive again if they sign an experienced and good manager to manage the national team of Brazil again.

Unfortunately, year after year Brazil's performance has been decreasing and this is clear in the results of their last games.
Regarding the coach, Dorival Junior is a renowned Brazilian coach and in my opinion I think he can lead Brazil better than Diniz, but I believe that Ancelloti could become a game changer because he's a coach with extreme quality and reputation, but unfortunately he didn't go to Brazil.
Brazil will have some friendly matches in a few weeks and in a few months Brazil will play in the Copa America, after all, after these games we will be able to see what the level of the Brazilian football team will be.

Not really sure about that.

Brazil is the number 1 team on the FIFA ranking, they have won the most world cups in history, and they have qualified to every single edition of the world cup, which no other country has done, ever.

I can guarantee you that Brazil will qualify to this world cup as well, and they will go to the second stage.

After that it's a bit of a gamble though.
Brazil is in 5th place in the FIFA rankings with 1784.09 points and of course this is still at the top so saying that Brazil performance has decreased is not really accurate.
I completely agree with you that Brazil is one of the most consistent because they always qualify for the World Cup competition even though they have failed to win the title for long time.
After all, everyone also knows that Brazil is the most successful by winning 5 World Cup titles and this is proof that Brazil remains one of the strongest.
For the next World Cup I also believe they can qualify but to be the best candidate in the title race is still up doubt it.
Brazil current condition makes it impossible to fight for the World Cup title and being able to reach the quarter-finals or semi-finals is already very good achievement.

We can only watch and wait to see whether Brazil can really show its best strength for the upcoming World Cup and can fulfill the hopes of all fans.

Many people are unhappy with Brazil's current performance and there are many Brazilian fans who are angry and displeased with their team's performance and are commenting that Brazil will not qualify for this World Cup. If Brazil doesn't qualify for the main stage of the World Cup, then almost half of the world's fans will not watch the football game. Brazil may have had a few poor early matches but they still have plenty of opportunities and Brazil will surely take advantage of that opportunity to qualify for the main stage of the World Cup.

The main problem in the Brazil team is that they don't have a quality manager right now. If the CBF can appoint a quality manager, Brazil will definitely return to their usual form.

I think even if Ancelotti didn't extend his contract with Real Madrid, still, Brazil couldn't be his next destination and the reason is very clear if you check the former coaches in Brazil. They usually had a Brazilian coach and they tried to avoid using any non-Brazilian coaches because they thought Brazil was the country where they are better football players and coaches and even other countries should use their coaches mostly because of the performance of Brazilians in the past world cups.
That's why I think even the new coach of Brazil, Junior, who is totally unknown to me can't help this team because don't have the knowledge for it.

I doubt it! I believe there was some truth to the rumors that Ancelotti could take responsibility for the Brazilian national team, but Ancelotti realized that Real Madrid is in a prime position to become a dominant force over the coming years in club football. Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, soon maybe Mbappe. All these young world class players and Ancelotti is set to be their coach if he wants to. He saw that opportunity and told himself that he doesn't want to give that up just yet and I would have done the same in his position.

On the contrary, he saw what's going on with Brazil. The team is far from their best and the composition of the squad can't be influenced as much and Brazil doesn't have a perfect squad at the moment. In Madrid, Ancelotti can improve any position he wants by including a new player. In Brazil he can't do that and he didn't see the potential for the current team to make big steps forward.

So many factors in club football are superior for him at the moment that giving it up didn't make sense to Ancelotti. The excitement, the money, the quality of the team, the chance to build a legacy with the best players in the world under his management on a daily basis. Must feel like a dream for any coach.

We can only watch and wait to see whether Brazil can really show its best strength for the upcoming World Cup and can fulfill the hopes of all fans.
