I have recently applied a rule on Telegram that allows me not to waste time on scammers. I noticed that all suspicious people on Telegram, when writing to me, mostly just a greeting and nothing else. When someone talks to me with a real thing, they usually present it right away - if they don't, then they are out of luck, because I just ignore messages like "Hi", "Hello", "How are you". This is actually enough for now.
This makes sense, however even though I am a normal person I just write "hello" or "hi" when I am starting a regular chat, it is sad to see that manners became something suspicious. I am not saying that you are wrong, many people these days do not greet each other when they first start talking so it is actually quite a good method to figure out who is real and who is a scammer, but it is also a sad fact that regular people do not greet each other before they talk to each other. If you ever end up talking with me on telegram and I say hello, do not assume I am a scammer
.
I am just a polite person who learned that greeting someone and saying hello is good manners and that is how you start a conversation, you also ask "how are you" as well and even add "I hope you are doing ok" as well, those are things I say to start a conversation and then I write what I reached them for.
