Some of the gods in history and mythology exist on the ground, or even under ground.

I wonder if God calls people like you ground gremlins? Just another kind of hamburger. ( Grin )

Your god can call me whatever you imagine he does.

... and anything else, as well.     Cool

Yep, your god can literally do anything you can imagine he can - but not to other people or objects.

That's why it is you who are destroying your own existence by the way you think. You simply won't let God save you.

Just because God made the sky doesn't mean he is a sky fairy.

We call gods sky fairies because they are made up in fairy tales.

Also, 1+1 never equals 2. Why not? Because there is nothing that is exactly the same as something else. Therefore, 1+1 always equals 1+1.

Cool

Actually that's what numbers represent: multiples of the same thing. For example, $1 + $1 always equals $2, regardless of whether or not someone drew a mustache on George Washington on one bill and not the other.

 Cool

Oh dude!
You could give Plato and Aristotle and that Confucius character a run for their money with wisdom like that....

Actually, you think that $1 + $1 = $2. But when you get a couple of dollars (notice that I am using your kind of terminology so that you can understand) and examine them, you will see that they are different if only by the slightly different location in the universe that they hold. Since they are different, how can you add them together?

The old saying that you can't compare apples and oranges works with trying to add them together. So, when you add an apple to an orange, you try to make it work by calling them 2 fruit. But that is just an excuse to do something that can't be done, because apples and oranges are different. So it is, the same for everything.

In the equation 1+1=2, the 1's hold slightly different positions. So, they are different. So the idea that 1+1=2 is really a lie that we use for living. This makes our whole life a lie. And we start the lie young, with our little children in school, just so we can embed it really well. And it works.

Or look at the posts I am quoting. Just because nutildah and sirazimuth are essentially saying the same thing, doesn't mean that nutildah + sirazimuth = wrong. They are too different to be right or wrong. Cheesy

.... Many folks jump out of their religion just to avoid the flames.

Cool

I always thought you pious folk have this deluded notion that when you finally get a clue and stop believing in fairy tales
you dump your religion the almighty sky fairy banishes you to eternally burn in hell or some such ridiculous thing.
(A notion about as nonsensical as a flat earth... to stay on topic)

Notice that I said "many folks." Some of the non-Christian scientists who somehow recognize the flames are coming to them, might jump out of their science religion to avoid the flames.

The M&M experiment was replicated by the USAF in 1984 and confirmed that the Earth is stationary.

My M&Ms don't move when I place them on my table, but 1+1 still is 2.  Smiley

Of course your M&Ms move (except if you lied and you don't really have any). They are vibrating with the heat inside them. You would have to get them down to absolute zero to keep them from moving.

Besides, the earth rotates and revolves. The M&Ms move right along with the earth.

Also, 1+1 never equals 2. Why not? Because there is nothing that is exactly the same as something else. Therefore, 1+1 always equals 1+1.

My conclusion is its a giant game to them and they don't actually believe their own nonsense. There's no other rational explanation for it. ....

My sentiments exactly.
It's their bizarre attention seeking mechanism, if you will.
The fact this thread was started on April Fools Day is no coincidence.

Well, of course. A joker like you who doesn't understand the idea that Hell is burning hot, wouldn't understand something like this.

Cool

Umm...no
I had no idea what you meant by this brilliant gem....

My conclusion is its a giant game to them and they don't actually believe their own nonsense. There's no other rational explanation for it. I gave up taking OP seriously when he started selectively believing in laws of physics. Eg., Coulomb's Law is correct but the Law of Gravity is bullshit. Its a giant charade of choosing to believe only in what suits their weird troll agenda.

The problem is people with not enough information, interpreting things incorrectly and then spreading their incorrect conclusions to others who can't interpret the information. I can walk someone through every single step of the MM experiment with an explanation of why each part is done and how it works (I'd be happy to do so for those actually interested!), but there will still be misunderstanding about it if you aren't at least a doctoral candidate. Relativity isn't something you can understand on your own unless you are a Hawking/Einstein level genius. Universities do not have full time staff teaching Relativity because its such a complicated subject, there are not many people who are qualified to teach it. Then people screech, well! Its an inside scheme by those professionals to keep us from learning the truth! The same can be said about surgeons and other professions with high levels of training required. You can't watch 20 hours of youtube videos and perform surgery.

I don't claim to know it all, but MM can be explained with a basic understanding of 1. Why Galilean transformations do not apply. 2. Why Lorentz transformations are required. 3. A bit of math 4. A bit optics. If you have have had Newtonian physics and understand transformations, you can understand why the MM experiment confirmed that there is no ether, why E&M waves do not require a medium, and I guess by some derivation from there why the earth is round?

@notbatman No worries, believe what you want and just ignore my posts, I'm just chatting with the people who are skeptics or those interested in confirming their own understanding. Find what works for you.

All of these models have been proven wrong many times over.

3 axis, 3 dimension is flawed, go research 4D (religion has 7, science at least 10 dimensions, in reality there is no limit of dimensions)

I cannot comprehend how a flat-earther can believe that there is some kind of conspiracy hiding the truth. There are literally millions of people that directly depend on a spherical earth in so many different ways. I can't fathom how so many people could keep such a secret for thousands of years.

It's funny that in a forum where most people are with above average intelligence they still believe in this kind of bullshit.

I can't find even one reason why this would be hidden if it were true.

So much stupidity going around, wonder does it hurt?

^^^ That mythbusters video you linked doesn't debunk the clip of the flag waving that I posted, not even a little bit. That faggot is wrenching on the flag with a fucking metal lever! You realize anybody can click on your video and see what a massive clown you are?

Your rebuttal (not an actual rebuttal but a shitty copy & paste) to M&M is equally as goofy; the goalposts are moved from an attempt at measuring the Earth's theorized motion to a non-sequitur regarding the aether. The box of soap who wrote that garbage then starts claiming it was a test of relativity when in fact relativity was the chosen's excuse for denying the empirical results of the experiment. Relativity was experimentally falsified by Dufour & Prunier's replication of the Sagnac experiment shortly after schlomo claimed there was no aether.

The M&M experiment was replicated by the USAF in 1984 and confirmed that the Earth is stationary.

Photographic evidence is the weakest and most easily fabricated kind of proof, not to mention all lenses are prone to distortion to some degree. Everybody screaming show me pictures is a moron or a fucking lampshade who doesn't want this issue resolved at any cost.

The truth is this issue was resolved in 1887 with the Michelson–Morley experiment, the Earth is motionless and can not be a spinning globe.

''Michelson–Morley type experiments have been repeated many times with steadily increasing sensitivity. These include experiments from 1902 to 1905, and a series of experiments in the 1920s. More recent optical resonator experiments confirmed the absence of any aether wind at the 10−17 level.[2][3] Together with the Ives–Stilwell and Kennedy–Thorndike experiments, Michelson–Morley type experiments form one of the fundamental tests of special relativity theory.[A 3]''

I also find it hilarious that flat-earthers believe that Ptolemy got it wrong -- not because he believed that the Sun and planets revolve around the earth, but because even he knew that the earth is a sphere.
