1. click on the above link
2. select a date where the magnitude (brightness) is very low, the less the value the more the brightness of the object
3. click on the choosen date (let use 17 nov, -3.3 mag as an example)
4. click on "ground track", a map will open with the direction and position of the ISS at that time
5. wait the choosen date (hoping for clear skies)
6. go outside, look above... when you see a very bright object passing in the sky, coming from NW to SE you will have the
unquestionable proof that

While you're outside you can bring a tablet/notebook with you and connect to this site:
http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/HDEV/ ... you can track the ISS in realtime and, even if at the chosen date it will be in the night side of the Earth, you can just wait the sunrise and check that the actual position of the station is correct just by looking at the image and at the position on the map.
