cheers

I have updated the Mac build with a configurable tor port. The source tree and windows build already have a configurable tor port.

If you have problems connecting to the network, then it means the default tor port (59590) might be blocked for you.

The tor port is configurable with "torport=" option in the conf file:

For example:

Code: (FonzieCoin.conf)
torport=7411

We are still good for about 17 minutes from now (5:30 UTC).

Here are some notes:

1. OCminer mined 3 blocks as a test. That's 240 coins. They were mined well before launch. We already had a network built for testing and it's too hard to get everyone to clean out their chains, so it's up to him what he wants to do with the 240 XFC.

2. The sources will have the option for a configurable tor port. I'm building the windows version now with a configurable tor port. I forgot to change the version number, which is a 40 minute mistake in terms of building, so when the configurable tor port build is available, I'll simply replace the file on google drive (same link) and announce the replacement. If anyone has trouble connecting with the default tor port, just add this line to your conf:

Code:
torport=7411

Try random ports until one works. Refer here for possibilities: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TCP_and_UDP_port_numbers

3. Nodes should not be needed if you can find a working port for tor. The network is flying and I believe at least 3 seed nodes are live. Just start your client, wait 30 seconds and connections should appear. If they don't appear after a few minutes, play with your tor ports.

spidey senses are tingling....

This is the address supernova.cc has set for this pool..   xfz.rnova.cc:2899

Is that correct??

I've corrected it to suprnova.. but rnova would work too Smiley

Launch Scheduled for Mar. 19 5:30 AM UTC.

OCminer was able to create a special build of stratum to mine this coin. https://xfz.suprnova.cc

If other pools want to jump in, they will need to tweak their stratum backends. I would have written a special stratum adapter in the coin, but modifying stratum itself turned out to be a simpler option. If he can do it other pools can too.

Nodes are seeded in the wallet, which I put completely behind tor--not because of "anon" but because tor works as a good proxy service for seeding nodes. (This isn't the next DRK.)

As yet, I haven't made the tor port configurable. I'll do that soon.

Forget it for tonight.

To make the block structure right I have to re-calculate the genesis block and completely rebuild on windows, which takes forever.

It's not going to happen tonight because I still have lots of stuff to do.

Maybe tomorrow.

Hmm i never got the source, how should i test then? Smiley

If you are game, I can have you a source tree that will work with stratum in 30 minutes from the time of this post.

I can get a windows wallet done too in that time.

I need to hear back in 5 minutes because I have things to do tonight.
