According to Sky Sport Italia, Monza has signed free agent Alejandro 'Papu' Gomez and he will undergo a medical tomorrow, making his return to Serie A.
The transfer window has closed, but clubs can still sign players who are out of contract.
Gomez sees his contract with Sevilla expire on June 30 and has been waiting to decide on his next move, which includes interest from Saudi Arabia and France.
The 35-year-old Argentine spent most of his international career in Italy, first with Catania from 2010–13 and then with Atalanta from September 2014 until January 2021.
Sold to Sevilla in succession by Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini, he made 252 appearances for La Dea, scoring 59 goals and providing 72 assists.

Finally he gets a club, the Argentine has been without any club since Sevilla ended his contract, he actually had numerous offers to MLS , Saudi Arabia and other non-European clubs but he said that he wouldn’t leave European football just yet because he still believes he has more years to play at the top. A regular South American would have gone home but not Papu Gomez.
Chelsea should prioritize the striking role instead of all these wide players. Theo Hernandez will definitely be a better left back than both Chilwell and Cucurella, and Dimarco can also fit in but the problem is this isn’t the emergency situation Chelsea hierarchies need to stop. They need a very prominent striker and with the crises at Napoli, Chelsea should be moving towards signing him other than these players they are after. The Osihmen Situation is persisting with Napoli yet to apologize I think the player would decide to leave may be this January and clubs like even Madrid will keeping tabs on him, so Bohely needs to Spend big Again just to get his man
