Well if i would have the chance to play another season for Real Madrid, then i would probably also do the same as Benzema and stay there for another year. I'm not sure about the information I'm reading, I confess that I'm a little confused because analyzing only the news with less than 24 hours, in one place I read that Benzema accepted an offer from Al-Ittihad and will leave Real Madrid after 13 years, and Benzema would even have warned coach Carlo Ancelotti and his teammates about this departure.
But then, elsewhere I read that Benzema will stay at Real Madrid, and fulfill his contract as agreed with the club and that only in 2024 he could go to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Anyway, I don't understand why Benzema would refuse to leave Real Madrid when he can break his contract early... 100 million euros a year at Al-Ittihad is a much higher amount than what he receives at Real Madrid. In fact, if even Cristiano Ronaldo went there (obviously, in other circumstances than Benzema) why wouldn't Benzema do it too?

There are several reasons why he did not confirm his future for example what appears in the news is just rumors I mean he hasn't got an official offer
Another reason the player can do this to increase the offer so before the official offer came he could speculate this method is usually done by clubs, agents and players
We will know the final decision after the transfer window is closed I'm sure there are many surprises there.

I wouldn't have expected Chelsea to sell him. Pochettino could have made use of a central midfielder like him a lot. There aren't many good central midfielders in the squad right now either. It seems based on the old rumor. I remember that if benzema agrees to take one year extension in real madrid but since ittihad was coming with very big offer and it can change benzema's mind.
Al ittihad's offer is very big. It's impossible to refuse it at this moment. Ronaldo has been also welcoming benzema and messi to the SPL.

I don't even think all of news that published by transfermarkt was true. It's caused by it's often making mistake.

He would do exploit at Barcelona. Messi might be getting old but he's still among the best players in the planet. There are not many players I'll pick over Leonel Messi. He may not have the energy and speed he once had but he has a lot of qualities to more than make up for that.
The only problem with Messi going to Barcelona is the financial situation Barcelona is in. Then there is also the fact that the team might rely on him again, which might halt or slow their rebuilding process. But if Barcelona can work on these two issues, then signing Messi is a big advantage to them
