I think they need to make a more profound analysis and then make their decisions. They thought that getting Mane will solve their offensive problems, but I think lots of people disagreed and knew it wouldn't work out as Bayern was hoping for. That transfer was a mistake and if they want to do it right now, they should get a younger striker for lots of money. They can't afford to start into the new season without a really good striker. But this is easier said than done as there are hardly strikers available and if they are, Bayern will have to outbid rich Premier League competitors. Even 80 million doesn't sound like much anymore, but it is still a lot of money for Bayern Munich.
Bayern are twice as rich as the closest competitor in the Bundesliga and I think they are not the last among the top teams either. The problem is their policy - they are not used to and consciously do not want to buy top players for a lot of money. They are still living in the past when they could poach players with brand name and title "guarantees". But with City, PSG, Chelsea and other clubs vacuuming up the market, no team with any high-profile brand no longer has a chance not to pay big money for top players. I hope they understand this.
