I don't think there is anything to respect Aubameyang when he is treated unfairly by Potter. He must have the courage to show his attitude and be ready to accept the consequences. I agree that if Auba returns to Barcelona even if he gets there he won't be the first choice for Xavi either but Auba is one of the nicest men who has ever lived at Camp Nou, he certainly has strong attachments to Barcelona even if temporarily. According to reports, Auba is also ready to cut his income as long as he can return to strengthen the Blaugrana and Xavi also still really needs the services of the player from Gabonese.
Referring to the Goal report, Chelsea are now determined to end Auba's contract, and allow him a year early. in fact, some Spanish media even said that Chelsea would terminate Aubameyang's contract before the end of this season, considering that he was not registered in the Champions League squad.
I don't know if this is an advantage for Aubameyang or a problem for his career. however, if Barcelona are willing to take him home, that means, Barcelona are signing him for free.
Other rumors, Barcelona are interested in repatriating Aubameyang because they need additional power in their attack line. last winter, Memphis Depay decided to leave Camp Nou. while several other strikers such as Ansu Fati and Raphinha are rumored to be leaving next summer. so, this situation makes the Blaugrana potentially short of attacking positions next summer, so Barcelona are interested in repatriating Aubameyang. However, I am not sure about the validity of this rumour.
