This was bound to happen. And even though this is the market price for the players, I highly doubt that the clubs are going to sell them for only this much. I am also not going to be surprised if mbappe is sold for more than €200 million.

If I remember correctly, Real Madrid was ready to give €200 million for mbappe. So it is not going to be surprising at all even if he is sold for €250 million at this point, especially after the performance from him in the World Cup. And the price of a bunch of players from France should go up because they performed really well in the final.

The world cup tournament is the perfect time for players to be outstanding in his performance and they would get the good credits. Kylian mbappe price tag increased with an incredible display in Qater. I'm not surprised about his performance, he's known to be a player that's always at his peak despite the rough season he had in Ligue 1. Kylian mbappe is on the los blancos rader for a long time and Florentino Pérez is mbappe's big fan. Some players made it out with the good market value while some didn't due to injuries or probably been at their worst form.

Enzo Fernandez is also among the players who are targeted by big teams these days. I have seen a claim like an unnamed team has made an offer worth 100 million euros to sign him. However Benfica are not willing to sell him for less than his release clause which is 120 million euros. I wonder what team it is to offer this much money to sign him. Teams like Real Madrid and Liverpool are also interested in signing him and it looks like these two have a new rival in the race to sign Fernandez from now on.
I wonder if it could be one of the Bayern Munich, Manchester City and PSG trio. I don't think some other team would be okay to spend that much money for him. It should be one of the rich teams in Europe. We might add Newcastle to this list as well.  Grin  Because after having a great run so far, they'd like to go for bigger transfers.
When this kind of news surfaces, there is only some names of clubs that will come to mind immediately, Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich or Manchester City, definitely one of these top rich clubs and I wonder who could it be or even Newcastle but so far they haven't spent that much on any player, I have little doubt it could be Newcastle. Enzo Fernandez had a great outing in the world cup but 100m euros is a lot of money for his services.

I am hearing that Manchester United is ahead in the race of getting into Fernandez right now. But I also thought that he had a verbal agreement with Liverpool. So, I am a little confused. But at this point in time, I don’t think verbal agreement means anything. This 21 year old midfielder has a lot of potential. And obviously, right now a lot of clubs are going to try to get him on the team.

But I think it is a matter of time before the top teams that you mentioned, like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City start getting involved and trying to get him into the team.

You also made a good point about Newcastle United. But I hope this player will be able to realize that he should not go to Newcastle United right now. Because he has a better chance of developing his skills if he goes to Real Madrid or Liverpool or other clubs like that.

One way Manchester United can get Rabiot is by showing their seriousness to the club that owns Rabiot and to Rabiot himself, not making Rabiot an alternative if they fail to get De Jong from Barcelona. For me it's an attitude that can make every player their target reluctant to anchor to Old Trafford.

Chelsea are rumored to have gotten David Datro Fofana from Molde. Fofana just needs to have a medical in London and the price agreement for the Ivorian player is worth €12m.

In terms of transfers, I am very interested in their strategy. It's very different to the way Manchester United target their targets in the transfer window.

Keep in mind Rabiot was basically a deal done this summer.
Juventus sold him to Manchester he accepted to go there, and everything was done but at the last second, something changed.

Adrien Rabiot can be used as an alternative if Manchester United fails to sign De Jong from Barcelona. Manchester United must immediately carry out initial negotiations to get certainty from the player, the presence of Adrien Rabiot can provide a bit of balance in the midfield after they succeeded in bringing in Casemiro some time ago. Manchester United must show seriousness if they want Adrien Rabiot in their squad because other elite EPL clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal are also very interested in using his services.

In terms of Adrien Rabiot's point of view, I think you are right, but I'm not sure about Manchester United in terms of his point of view.

Franky de Jong would definitely be my first choice over Adrian Rabiot if I were Manchester United, and I would only buy Rabiot if I failed to buy Franky de Jong.

As for me, I find Manchester United's transfer strategies to be fine so far. However, I doubt Barcelona will be willing to let De Jong go, as he is one of the most talented midfielders in the world.

The market values of players at the World Cup have risen. Kolo Muani +7 million euros, would it have been 10 million if he had hit the last shot in the game? Maybe. Jude Bellingham +10 million euros to 110 million and Bukayo Saka +10 million to 100 million euros. But there also losers, for example Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City, although he had a strong team with England. He lost 5 million euros and is now worth 45 million, this is partly due to injury. That means the upcoming transfers can bring new records again. Mbappe is now worth 180 million euros.

This was bound to happen. And even though this is the market price for the players, I highly doubt that the clubs are going to sell them for only this much. I am also not going to be surprised if mbappe is sold for more than €200 million.

I'm just not sure about Fofana's performance at Chelsea but I wouldn't like to be prejudiced either. Most probably Chelsea are thinking of him as their backup striker while there is Nkunku. But of course the performance levels can make a change in balances in the team. Fofana is a player who has performed amazingly for Molde in this season so far. He has scored quite many goals. Can he be like Jr Haaland maybe?  Tongue  One of Haaland's old teams was also Molde that's why I made that joke.  Grin

Chelsea are just trying everything they can to finally fix their scoring issues and I hope they do this. It is one of the biggest factors holding them back these days.

It seems that the news that Benfica will not release Enzo Fernandez at a clause price of 120 million euros has some truth to it. Seeing that the market value of 55 million euros has increased by more than 100%, this is truly extraordinary, apart from his extraordinary work in the world cup, on the other hand, his young age makes the price so fantastic. I don't know who will win the battle for this player transfer, but I have a prediction it looks like he will join Man City or PSG.
His performance in the world cup was very good so it's really not too surprising if the market value of this player has increased dramatically and of course there are several clubs that want the services of this player but for PSG and Manchester City like this it's just a rumor that has been raised because I really don't feel they need it Enzo this time but indeed Liverpool are still possible and they are one that seriously wants the young Argentinian's services.
But in this case the heavy clause must be passed. Liverpool's first offer of 88 million has been rejected and there are reports that Madrid wants to bring in 90 million. but a few hours ago I also read that Benfica refused 100 million from an unspecified club.
Instead of PSG and Manchester City spending money on Enzo, now their squad is composed of the ideal composition of players. Liverpool deserves to need it much more because their performance is determined this season. Apart from being required to improve the performance of the Liverpool team, it can still be said that they have not been able to deal with the front lines properly. If you see the possibility of Liverpool entering the top 5, it is still quite doubtful. So it is necessary to buy players who can really provide a strong impetus to stay afloat early next month.

I have to say that Enzo Fernandez has played exceptionally well in the World Cup for Argentina. He's a really young player and he has amazed a lot of coaches and scouts of clubs so far which is evident by his price tag increasing of 120 million from only €55 million. He has been linked with a lot of the big clubs from Europe including Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and PSG so far. We have seen teams like Manchester City and Real Madrid or more being interested in investing in younger players. So, I think he would be a great addition to them.

That way, some of these clubs don't hesitate to spend up to 120 million euros on just one player, indeed this seems like a waste of money, but Enzo Fernandez is one of the players who has succeeded in bringing Argentina to win the 2022 WC. Apart from that, his role at Benfica is quite enough good and together with his colleagues at Benfica are able to be in 1st place in the Primeira league for now.

It's not easy for Benfica to hold such player for too long with all these clubs hitting their doors. I guess the player himself wants bigger club now as he is young enough to improve and become great name in football which won't happen in case he stayed in Benfica. However, paying 120 Million for young talented player might become normal thing in football as the football economy is steadly growing, one example is Real Madrid paying 70 Million for the 16 years old Brazilian Endrick.
Sooner or later Benfica will let this player go but don't be too surprised if it is nearing the end of the transfer period especially with so many clubs wanting his services and seeing a club that dares to bid 100 million even though it is rejected this possibility will only last a short time. I think this will eventually go to Enzo but where this is going is clear we need to wait about the continuation of Enzo and some of the big clubs interested in him.

If he had had a great outing at the world cup, I would have understood that he deserves a raise seeing that most players who had a great outing in the world cup have seen their value go up so much. His current wage of 100,000 is still pretty decent to me also considering that Goal keepers are not always on demand too, If he is refusing the deal, It is very likely that he likes to leave the club. If he leaves wants to leave Chelsea, I am wondering which other club will be willing to pay more than his current worth for him.
Isn't 100,000 pounds a week too much?  I think Mendy is demanding the salary too much.  As far as I know, he is currently receiving 90,000 pounds.  With the new contract, I don't know how logical it is that the fee still remains at this level.  There were goalkeepers who performed very well in the world cup and I think there are many alternatives.  Still, Chelsea can give Mendy the salary he wants.  They probably want to continue with it.
I also feel it's already too much, but recently we have some change as few African players are consistently having issues with their salaries, and they are demanding for increase even they are taking good amount so here I have feeling Chelsea is giving this absolutely right and if he is not agreed with this new package then surely they don't need to force him.

As we already know there were too many quality goalkeepers those were doing good job and still have long time in their career available and most chances they will surely agree with less than Mandy current salary which is already very good for the player of his quality in Premier League and if he decided against then surely this could be bad for him with no problem for the Chelsea management.

It looks like Caglar Soyuncu has finally found a club for himself. Atletico Madrid are about to sign a long-term deal with him and he is expected to join them by January as well.

He has been in the subs at Leicester for a long time. He was actually one of the mainstays of Leicester defense before. But after some time, he lost his place in the starting eleven suddenly and couldn't take it back still. Brendan Rodgers made a statement on this topic like his training performance wasn't at a satisfying level and that was why he has been in the subs. He might be right because I haven't heard any other problem behind it. However Atletico Madrid have 4 four centre-backs now. There will be a quite big competition for the starting eleven then.

Erik Ten Hak was said to have played a role in the case of whether or not David De Gea's contract was extended, because the coach was still considering several reasons, David De Gea made several fatal mistakes in the first half of the season, Erik Ten Hak can be said to be quite brave in making decisions, Cristiano Ronaldo and Maguire is a big example of what the Dutch coach has done. Another weakness that goalkeepers have, especially not being good at playing the ball with his feet, is the basis for the coach's evaluation in determining the future of David De Gea.

As we know that David De Gea's contract will expire in June 2023, Manchester United's management has not made a decision to offer a new contract or will end it this year, although The Red Devils still have the option to extend the contract for another year
Right now Erik ten Hag is doing good decisions which will be helpful for Manchester United in long run because right now they are increasing quality and performance and for having better results surely they need to adopt few bold decisions with this most chances Manchester United management will not give any new contract to David De Gea, and he will be going to end his good career after end of this 2023.

Too many options available right now with few quality goalkeepers are performing good and many will be feeling proud if they will join this legit English club in near future after decision of Cristiano Ronaldo now look like management is having good faith in Erik ten Hag for having good results in near future.

Arsenal wants also to get him caused by his cheap transfer and salary consider his achievement in the world cup was so good and he has been contributing a lot to the club. that's why arsenal was also seeing him as a potential defender to be bought from juventus. I think that you can even check the latest news about him and arsenal has been leading the transfer to get him. Juventus didn't wanna sell him for free that's why juventus wanna try to make an agreement as soon as possible.
My first time to hear that if chelsea was also want him from juventus. I never heard that before but MU may also try to sign him a part from arsenal's effort.
Now with the salary issue most chances Juventus will be agreed to release him after end of this season and thing looking tricky in English Premier League because we have three top clubs which are looking for him with most chances Manchester United and Arsenal could be in pool position because these both are having good interest and trying to in connection with him for possible transfer even Chelsea is also looking for this but with their having new other targets most chances Manchester United and Arsenal could be in better position for this deal.

Arsenal's improved performance and ability to have better salary package most chances they will complete this deal but as we have things in past anything is possible so with if Chelsea or Manchester United will steal this deal surely this could be also not shocking.

It seems like that benfica wants to farm money from selling enzo. I don't know why just caused by the world cup and the price of him already increased more than 9x. it doesn't even make sense for him to see the increase of his price.
You can get a player with so many great achievement with such fund. The football business become even more over rated by giving a non sense price tag for someone who didn't have lots of achievement.
World cup has not become main aspect to determine whether such player was good or bad.
Right now, few clubs are surely hungry for skilled new youngster and Benfica is surely looking to take good advantage of this which is not bad but right now most chances no club will be to spend 120 Million because this is too much for him and just with the world cup performance even we have no idea how things will be in club level as in past too many deals like this give shocking failure to clubs.

Most chances if Benfica is surely looking for any deal then hopefully they will be able to have around 80 Million to 100 Million which is also not bad at all hopefully things could be ok for both parties specially while Liverpool is desperate because now most chances they will be failed to bring Jude Bellingham here at Liverpool after Real Madrid and Manchester City are very keen in this deal.

Most other teams will also be like that if their players have more achievements at the international level. They will release the price of their players at unreasonable prices, including Benfica at this time who wants to let go of Enzo Fernandez if there is a serious club buying him for 120 million euros. It seems too pushy but benfica doesn't want to lose the opportunity to earn big money.
Another advantage for Benfica is that this player is now in demand by more than 1 big club, so with conditions like this, they will definitely insist on holding that price no matter what, especially fans of Enzo now are not an ordinary team because rumors are now not only Liverpool but Manchester City. , Madrid and Even PSG reportedly want to bring in this young player which makes this a blessing in itself for them.
That way, some of these clubs don't hesitate to spend up to 120 million euros on just one player, indeed this seems like a waste of money, but Enzo Fernandez is one of the players who has succeeded in bringing Argentina to win the 2022 WC. What are your bets for the next team he will play for?

Some sort of club in MLS if he is lucky to get into it then spend another next 3 years playing there until he announces his retirement. He was a decent player but yeah its just suck that this came done to it. The fact that Aston Villa would put him in their transfer list this January means they want to get rid of him and there is a decent offer waiting for him
The possibility is quite reasonable because even now, even though he can still be said to be capable, for Coutinho it seems difficult to join a big team again. MLS or leagues in the Middle East and Asia might be an alternative if someone really wants him before making the decision to quit the professional career he is currently living.
His condition was not going well with the injury that had worsened Coutinho's situation.

Al-Nassr are hopeful they will complete the signing of Portugal forward and free agent Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, before the January transfer window opens. Are we looking at the most expensive football pension in history?

It is rumored to sign a contract of 7 years (until the age of 45) for 1 billion $.

The more they have the more they will get, incredible.

Arsenal is trying to sign this player really badly. This player can strengthen the midfield of Arsenal very well. He is the center mid who does not cost too much money and his salary is also not something crazy like some other players. He is also not too old. Manchester United wanted to get him, but the talk between him and Manchester United did not go anywhere. So now Arsenal is trying to get him in the team quite desperately. We also have to remember that Arsenal have some injury problems in their team. So they will have to make some transfers very quickly. But is Juventas going to let him go?

Its not about how less cost he has right now but let me play out a scenario for you. Suppose you are getting a player at a low fee and a salary but its still is a loss if he sits out on the bench. The reason why I mentioned bench is because Arsenal already have 4 players - Xhaka, Partey, Elneny and Lokonga and all of them play as CDM/CM role. Xhaka and Partey are the ones who start usually and I don't see any of them leaving the club anytime soon so I don't feel like this is gonna happen unless Xhaka or Partey leaves the club or Elneny or Lokonga leaves the club and Rabiot is ready to become a rotational player for the Gunners.

Mendy rejects ‘disrespectful’ six-year Chelsea contract over ‘low’ wages, According to the Sun, the Blues have offered the Senegal goalkeeper a new long-term deal in a bid to keep him at the club, two-and-a-half years before his current contract ends, but he has rejected it because he feels the club is not showing him enough ‘respect’ over wages.

The 30-year-old reportedly earns £100,000 a week but he wants a sum close to his rival Kepa Arrizabalaga who is said to be earning almost double.
Source: https://www.goal.com/en-ng/amp/news/mendy-rejects-disrespectful-six-year-chelsea-contract-over-low-wages/blt646b374e71f0ac93

I think Mendy might be making one of the biggest mistakes in his career, if he was demanding this during his reign as the first choice keeper under Thomas Tuchel, that would had been understandable but currently he's been benched for Kepa and chances are he would be dropped if Kepa regain fitness.
If he had had a great outing at the world cup, I would have understood that he deserves a raise seeing that most players who had a great outing in the world cup have seen their value go up so much. I think Mendy should focus on getting regular minutes on the pitch before looking to contract extension. It is not bad for him to seek a pay rise, after all every football player in this modern game are after the money. My only concern for him is; if signs a long term contract for Chelsea and then falls the picking order as it is now, It will be hard for him to switch club because the buyout clause might be huge. The best thing is to allow this current contract runs down a little bit and he can then decide the future
