Not a day goes by without new rumors on the transfer market. Timo Werner is said to be about to return to his old club Red Bull Leipzig. He wasn't very successful after moving from RBL, will he find his way back to his old form with his old club?

It seems like Timo Werner is one of those players that needs to feel comfortable and also needs to fell the total support of everyone in the club in order to be able to deliver his best performances and at the moment and also during the whole last season that was just not the case. I think he has a lot of potential as he is extremely fast. A transfer to Red Bull Leipzig could make sense in multiple ways i think. First of all Bayern is trying hard to get Konrad Laimer from Red Bull Leipzig and they will probably have to pay around 20 to 30 Million € for him and them Leipzig could use that money to buy Timo Werner. I don't know if they really need him because they already have Nkunku who is a very similar player but two good strikers are normally never to much.

I don't think they would pay 20 to 30 million for Werner, unfortunately he's not worth that much anymore due to his poor performance. If he comes back to RB Leipzig, I can very well imagine that he will find his way back to his old (good) performance.

Werner is definitely worth 20 million I would argue. I mean look at how the markets work these days and what a player a costs. If they can make him an 18-20 goals per season player again he is definitely worth the money. The even more interesting question is whether he is finding back to his old shape because that is what he needs to do given that there are already strong offenders in Leipzig!

Manchester United are working on deal to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus. United must decide if they proceed irrespective of ongoing De Jong pursuit or await outcome of that before deciding. 27yo France midfielder has 1yr on Juventus contract.

Yes, I saw and read this new article also. I had thought it was mere speculations making the rounds wound the media but it seems agreement has already be made with both clubs respectively. I had also thought Manchester United would be okay and like you said stick to the ongoing pursuit of Frankie De Jong. Now, it’s exciting to see if they’re willing to stop the pursuit of the Barcelona player.

Xavi has spoken about De Jong.. and the player could leave Barcellona before the end of the summer.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1556377321883533316

I wonder if this is just common courtesy or Xavi somehow expresses his thoughts incomprehensibly (or I just don’t understand anything)? It's obvious that Barcelona want to get rid of De Jong for financial reasons, but Xavi says he's a good player and that he's counting on him. Maybe they were unable to get De Jong to leave or cut wages by force and now they are trying to make it flattery?

Sterling is a good buy for Chelsea ,and City will miss him....Gabriel jesus as well...I still have this feeling that pep messed up in letting them leave for cheap these are 75m players cuz Brighton sold a left back for 60m....pep doesn't know how to keep good players.when he sold sane I felt so so bad..but he was still able to manage the team..let's see wat halland and Alvarez has in stock for us..I just they fear after watching the community shield..i hope heget the epl again after letting 4 vital players leave at a cheap price..how can city sell zichenko for 30m and now they couldn't find any left back for 30m as replacement.

I hate the fact that Pep sold Raheem, still can't believe sterling is wearing the Chelsea jersey
and I think Mancity shot themselves in the foot. Raheem Sterling will punish City when they meet
And Congratulations on Chelsea's victory at Goodison Park since 2017 in the first match of the Premier League's first week
Sterling was a threat in that game, a nice debut

But if Sterling isn't needed by Manchester City, why should they keep him for the team?  If the coach believes there is a better player in that position than Raheem, then he should not be forced to sit on the bench, he would rather play for another club, but in the main squad and get consistent game practice

Generally it is true what you are saying, but almost any player that wants the breakthrough in a huge club has to take into account that there might another world class player as a direct competitor for a certain position. Selling Raheem Sterling probably wasn't probably an easy move for Pep though. But we shouldn't forget what club he is playing for now Wink It is not as if he was playing for an average Premier League team. He is still playing in a world class squad.

Yes, that's what I'm saying, he hasn't gotten worse, the team he plays in isn't bad either and he participates in many good tournaments. I'm sure the player himself accepted the coach's position (if that was the case) and left for another club without a fight, understanding that it would be better that way. And as we can see he is indeed better off so far

Timo Werner will shortly travel back to Germanyto undergo medical tests after signing a long-term contract with RB Leipzig.

Werner decided to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2022 because Thomas Tuchel did not trust him to be the primary striker at Chelsea. According to reports, Werner was prepared to accept a pay cut to hasten the transfer process.

Manchester United just need to do the necessary things, anything that can be done to strengthen the team not to perform like last season. It is really bad if their is no different with the performance of Manchester United with that of last season.  They need signing players that can make a better difference.
There is still time for Manchester United to improve everything that is needed next season. Because if you look at some of the pre-season games for Manchester United, I think there is a slight difference that Manchester United has achieved now and it can still change for the better next season because Manchester United are also targeting more wins next season. And it is clear that performance improvements will definitely exist and will be slightly different from last season.

Liverpool seem to be willing about a swap between Naby Keita - Marcelo Brozovic or Firmino - Brozovic. However I don't know how much Inter would be willing about that. Because Brozovic is an important part of his team at the moment. He played in almost every Serie A game last season. I think this deal won't happen. If Liverpool are keen on selling Firmino still then they had better look for the interested teams now. Juventus were one of them but I don't know if they still are.

With Barcelona's current condition, they inevitably have to release De Jong because this is indeed related to their finances and the future of their new players as well.
There is no other way apart from selling some players because apart from increasing their finances, this is also quite effective in cutting salaries so they don't inflate and exceed the limits set by the association there.
His wage become one of the heaviest thing that barcelona have to carry especially with lewandowski arrival which makes the wage budget become much more fat than ever , the only condition that could make him stay is by cutting his salary otherwise he might have to leave as barcelona had an agreement already with manchester united.

De jong will just moved unhappy there , which it's the similar thing on pogba case. Poor de jong , poor manchester united.
But on the other hand maybe now it will hold back a bit in price when this happens and indeed I still feel like it should be.
Barcelona's current condition is really chaotic. Cutting De Jong's salary which has been cut a lot from the previous few seasons will also not make De Jong want it now. He is a victim of Barcelona whose ambitions are too big this season.
The club was broke, so it is no surprise they were signing all those players. They sign good players, so their fans defend whatever they do!
According to Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong should revert back to his previous contract. It is likely that Barca Board will take legal action in the wake of former board members' criminal behavior regarding his renewal. The Barcelona Board still has doubts about him. He owed them money, so they asked him to accept a salary cut? Hopefully everything will be resolved soon.

looks like Chelsea isn't the only one wanting Vardy. United also seems to be monitoring the player. Even though the age is no longer young, I think it is very important for both clubs.
Vardy still has 1 year left on his contract with Leicester, if next season he doesn't want to extend his contract I think it would be better to let him go this season.

Is it still worth enough to get Vardy while he is 35 years old already? I do think that it is better if Chelsea or United try to find younger talented striker if they really need it. Of course it is fine  if any club can get him for free at the end of the contract. Try to get him by buying before his contract ends is not really worth imho.
Actually, Manchester United already has Anthony Martial and Ronaldo, while Chelsea, who have released Lukaku to Inter Milan on loan, only leaves Kai Havertz who often plays as a false nine. Now Vardy is 35 years old and has only one season left on his contract with Leicester City. Vardy will be a panic buy for Manchester United and Chelsea because of his old age because it is very difficult for a player who is 35 years old to be able to maintain his performance especially in big games.
The summer transfer window is still open until September 1, both clubs can still look for talented young players rather than having to bring in players whose productive age is almost finished.

My mind doesn't really understand the whole concept of Barcelona being in debt and still spending the most. If they are in so much debt and la liga doesn't allow them to do "something" (not really understood what they do not allow) and then Barcelona goes ahead and spends the most money on a summer.

How does that work? I get that they sold a lot of stuff, their tv rights in a part, jersey sales and etc etc, but at the same time it makes no sense to me that they would make this kind of situation possible if you ask me, sounds like a weird place to be in. Can someone clearly explain to me what was the trouble they were in, and how did they get out of it to spend this much money?

As I understand it, Barcelona had a huge debt (about one and a half billion). To cut it short, Barcelona sold 25% of its media rights. But instead of using all the money to pay off debts (including to the players), Barcelona began to make purchases of new players. Now their budget for player salaries has increased, and La Liga is demanding that Barcelona cut the budget to 400 million, and until this figure is reached, Barcelona will not be able to register new players.

Marseille are about to sign Alexis Sanchez now as he is said to have terminated his contract with Inter. He can still be quite useful for the team he goes to by the way as he is 33 now. I guess he wouldn't retire before playing a few more years. However there is a problem that Marseille have already 4 centre-forwards in the team. By adding Sanchez also I wonder what they are planning to do. Otherwise it might be harder for Sanchez to be a regular player in the lineup unless he makes a big difference.

Doubt if he will have a good impact into the squad.
IMO, he is a finished player and I feel it's a loss deal.
Last good football was played at Arsenal with Arsene Wenger

Chelsea is on the move to bringing in the Leicester City forward legend Vardy as a potential suitor for the striking position at Chelsea according to reports , Chelsea has Joined the race in monitoring the current situation of the Leicester City fantastic goal scoring machine future in Leicester.
The 35-years-old player currently has only one more year left to spend on his contract at the club.
Vardy has been able to scored about 198 goals in all the competition since his professional football career and is now considering to spend his future career in another club.
The thing is for teams in the EPL I doubt Vardy will go anywhere other than Leicester. Currently his loyalty to Leicester is still maintained and indeed this is what makes it difficult for other teams to take him from there.
Most likely he will go to another League if he does not extend at Leicester the same as Schmeicel or indeed he will extend the contract until he runs out of career.

Brendan Rodgers was already spoke personally with Vardy that he want Vardy stayed in Leicester and recently Leicester also offering extended contract to Vardy because Rodgers said he is important player for Leicester however during playing for this team Jamie Vardy had stable performance and every seasons he has score a lot of goals so it is normal if Leicester want to extended his contract but i was wondering why Chelsea and Manchester United want him because he is not young anymore and they should be looking for young players
