Yes definitely.. I still recall him from that dirty derby tackle from Keane on Alfie Haaland. Definitely could be a factor given the fact that his dad played from that club once. There were lot rumours of Haaland going to United which I knew that weren't true right away. I would say he needed a big club to groom himself and he thinks City is the best for him.
Pep would like to stay but seems like he is not that pumped up as he was once at the beginning. Kinda feels like giving up on the fight but still he did indicate that he would love to be in the club for more but will think later.
And even if Haaland's dad didn't play for Man City, I don't think he's even entertain any offers from them as the club right at this moment is obviously still in shambles right now. It could take a little bit more time of rebuilding and Haaland prolly wants to win cups in his new destination and not help rebuild a club. I think Mourinho has the right idea before when he took Ibra in. It will partly need that type of player to help the club imho. And this time they have it with Ronaldo.
Btw... Do you guys think this Pogba to City rumor has legs?
Honestly, I don't think Paul Pogba moving to City is not going to happen because last what I heard was Juventus is targeting him and I think Pogba will also be interested to go to Juventus instead of Manchester City.
Because I really don't find the right place for him in Manchester City but obviously I might be wrong. I just think his playstyle will not suit the team and vice versa.
I would also like to see pep stay but I really don't know because after the loss in the Champions League things really don't look so good for Manchester City and pep.
Erling Haaland is surely going to be a great asset for Manchester City but he needs to stay fit to play the whole season because English Premier League is a lot more fast-paced compared to Bundesliga and it is easy for players to get injured.
