City to rival Barca in Haaland race
Manchester City have emerged as Barcelona's chief rival for the signature of Erling Haaland, reports Sport.
Barcelona is in a bad financial situation, they have no capacity to compete with Man City or Real Madrid to sign Haaland. Man City should have a bigger chance to sign Haaland, but depends on their priority. I mean Man City still prioritizes signing Harry Kane, Haaland probably becomes an alternative only. If they succeed brings Harry Kane, I assume they may be no longer interested to sign Haaland. Guardiola isn't a typical coach who needs many CF in the squad, so I guess he wants to add 1 CF only to City squad.

I haven't seen any news that has much interest in Guardiola's Haaland. Both Guardiola and Manchester City want to build the best team at a lower cost. Haaland will demand higher wages at the moment because its demand is much higher now. So I think Real Madrid will be more interested in taking him to the team. If Barcelona are in financial crisis, they may be interested in spending on Haaland, as they desperately need a talented striker.

There's is no chance that Haaland will join Barca. The whole point why he wanna leave dortmund is because he wants to take a step higher and win prizes. Not to take a step back, dortmund would eat barca alive  and why would he wanna play europa league? The people who think he joins barca, wake up he joins Manchester city or Real Madrid one of these 2, remember this comment

On the contrary, there was information that due to the failure with the transfer of Kane, Manchester City will now throw all their efforts at buying Haaland. Barcelona has entered this race and, with its attempts to buy a player, is trying to do everything so that Haaland does not end up in the Real Madrid squad. Because the Catalan leadership is clearly not happy about the prospect of getting an opponent with Mbappe and Haaland in the same team. However, La Liga President Javier Tebas has already told Barcelona President Laporta a couple of recommendations about the transfer, given that Barcelona will have to cover losses of about 500 million euros, which will be very difficult.

Gareth Bale has been transfer listed by Real Madrid ahead of the January window, according to reports.

The Welsh winger, who hasn't played club football since August, is out of contract at the end of the season and is not expected to extend his £600,000-a-week deal.

Bale hasn't featured regular for Real since the 2018-19 campaign and spent last term on loan at Premier League side Tottenham.

Rumours earlier this year suggested he's considering retiring after next year's World Cup, should Wales qualify for the tournament in Qatar.

I was about saying one should look at it though.
Bruno earns less but with always give each game two hundred percent of his best performance in and off the pitch.
This shows commitment and loyalty, Paul can go if he wants to.

Life, Love and Laughter...
For City it’s either Kane or Haaland.  And yes, it will def work.  Ever wonder way in many of their matches that you expected a trashing, it ended in something like 1 - 0, 2 - 0, 2 - 1?  That’s cos they need a real striker and Gabriel Jesus ain’t cutting it.  We thought he was gonna be this cheap Mbappe alternative straight from Brazil when he came in.  But no.  He’s not that great.  How City has to splash the cash for a striker.  And between Kane and Haaland, I hope Pep gets the younger, less polished player.

Well, once again Kane is in the picture for Man City? That's an obsession or what? (jk) Grin
IMO is time for Pep and Man City in general to pass the "Kane syndrome" period and look for other strikers who will have much better potentials (and playing years) than Kane. I don't know if it will be Haaland or some other and if it will be this transfer window or due the summer. I'm sure though that eventually Man City will make a striker transfer.

I don’t think he’s thinking about the long term about Kane, but he is still relatively young with more than 5 years in the tank and with a possibility of getting some value back if they decide to sell him in the transfer market.  Anyway yeah...  It also shows Pep’s desperation to win the UCL trophy since leaving Barcelona.  So winning it has to be this season or the next since his contract runs out in 2023.

And just heard Leeds sold Raphinha to Bayern for 50m EUR.  Sad to see him move away from the EPL.

Pogba is one of the lowest paid players in the current Manchester United roster, earning less than £300,000 per week, despite the fact that a player of his caliber should make more in this market.

Manchester United player salaries 2021.
Code:
Cristiano Ronaldo  £510,000
David De Gea £375,000
Jadon Sancho £350,000
Raphael Varane £340,000
Paul Pogba £290,000
Edinson Cavani £250,000
Anthony Martial £250,000
Marcus Rashford £200,000
Harry Maguire £189,904
Bruno Fernandes £180,000
source

Looking at this list several players could easily be asking for a raise looking at how much work they put in for the team.

Take for example Bruno Fernandes  who is getting a mere £180,000 but is capable of getting goals and also defend very well but the lad is not complaining....but why should pogba try to steal the show with his salary increaments??? These demands will not be meet and I see him leaving for this reason!
Pogba is a valuable player in his peak with lots to give, and there are multiple clubs interested in his services. It's a basic situation that happens everywhere for a player who is out of a contract to demand an increase if the club still wants their services.

It is rumoured that Manchester United are targeting the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz. He is only 18 years old now and he is a very promising attacking midfielder I believe. His market value is already 70 million euros now and he has a contract running until June 30, 2026. So far, he had 8 goals and 11 assists in total in 20 games. He is called as "the next Kai Havertz". But he is capable of being more than Havertz in the future.

Why do you think it will be a bad signing for Barcelona? Aubamenyang is a good and prolific striker. He might be 32 but still firing. Maybe he is currently not on form and inconsistent in Arsenal due to few reasons, in or low level of commitment. He may have flopped in front of goal this season for Arsenal but desperate Barcelona fans want to believe that, with the service he would get playing for them, he would score plenty of goals. Aubameyang is good for Barcelona. l believe he can bring changes, Very smart and fantastic. And sometimes when building a new side involving young players, you need to add some bit of experienced players for them to learn from. It is part of the development process. Look at Arsenal, You have young players in Martinelli, Saka, Smith Rowe, Odegaard, White, Gabriel, Tierney and Lokonga. Playing alongside Thomas Partey, Lacazette, Aubamenyang, Xhaka makes them adapt and learn faster.
The thing is that Barcelona already pays a lot of old players so much money so that they would be mediocre and that is not really great. I feel like there is a good chance they will look for younger players who are cheaper right now so that they could get better while not losing too much money.

Let's be honest, Auby will want a money that will be for what he used to be and not what he is today, whereas some 22-23 year old kid will want money for what he is right now and that will be very important for them. Not that Auby will not be a good player, he will be a great player but they already pay so much for so many old players that they should not be doing it for one more player.

One of Arsenal's striker targets seems to be the 24-year-old Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri now. He is one of the decent strikers now and he has a market value of 40 million euros now. He scored 18 goals in 38 La Liga games in the last season. And he didn't start badly to this season also. He might be a hot prospect for the future although I know he is 24 already. But I still believe that Arsenal can find a better striker than him to sign.

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1540751/arsenal-transfer-news-dominic-calvert-lewin-dusan-vlahovic-youssef-en-nesyri
They are already planning now and indeed it looks like arsenal have had to think about that because their current strikers apart from being very lacking and there are a few that I don't think will survive there.
Lacazette is currently still unclear about his future at Arsenal, on the other hand Aubameyang also I think will definitely make a breakthrough by moving to another club due to his careless actions that will prevent him from playing again until the end of the season.
I think they should start looking for a new striker just in case

Aubameyang is leaving the team for certain as far as I can see. And this is very likely to happen in January also. There are some big clubs in line to sign him already and Barcelona are one of them. Maybe Lacazette wouldn't leave in the same month but he is also likely to leave next summer I believe. Arsenal want to renovate their attacking line. And maybe En-Nesyri would be one of the proper choices.

Inevitably he has to leave and hope there is a team that wants to sign him, but I think with the disciplinary action he is currently very difficult to get a team unless he really wants to change his bad habits.
As for Barcelona they are just preparing to borrow this player and that is quite difficult to do.

Talking about Lacazette until now Arsenal still haven't extended the contract with this player

City to rival Barca in Haaland race
Manchester City have emerged as Barcelona's chief rival for the signature of Erling Haaland, reports Sport.

The Spanish outlet claims the Premier League champions will go 'all out' to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker next summer, when his £64million release clause comes into force.

Haaland has been in phenomenal form this season with 19 goals in 16 appearances this season.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-salah-contract-25777309

Haaland would be a great addition for Barcelona but am not sure if tiki-taka  is his style...

Were even Barcelona thinking of signing Erling Haaland seriously? I was just thinking that those things were no more than rumours. In the end, they don't have a powerful financial condition right now and they want to raise funds by selling or loaning players as many as possible. So, Manchester City would be a rival for especially Real Madrid in this race. Because Real Madrid seem to be really serious about him and they are in a strong financial condition.

It is more probable his arrival in the other big team of Spain, Real Madrid.
it's very clear... bringing in haaland for them at this time will only make a grave for themselves with a price and salary that is quite expensive they will not be able to do with it.
Besides that, now ferran torres has started to join them and i think this is still a risk to their finances with a fairly expensive price he was brought from the city of course this made their finances shaky.
I don't think Haaland will be here anymore and that's for sure

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-jarrod-bowen-breaking-22570168

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are planning to make offers for West Ham right winger Jarrod Bowen and Leeds right winger Raphinha. These players are both 25 years old now. And each one of them has at least three more years existing on his contract. I assume that Liverpool wouldn't like to get them both. If they are aiming to choose one of them, I think that they should go for Bowen. Because I see a bigger talent in him and he continues to show this in this season.

Real Madrid, who are aiming to complete the Mabbape transaction this summer or next, have zero chance. I'm confident Real Madrid's big project next summer will be to release some oldies with large pay from the club in order to accommodate new players.

Barcelona cannot afford Haaland. And it also seems exceptional to me that Haaland would want to go to Barcelona. That boy wants to move forward in a sporting way, then you are at the wrong team at Barcelona at the moment. Dortmund has a nice team, but is not a European top. Real Madrid would be a logical next step. PSG too, but they have too many good attackers.
Barcelona isn't that bad; they have fantastic attacking options; they simply need to add 2-3 players to their defense and midfield, as well as a good coach who can and knows how to encourage young players.

It is possible that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United. Despite his status as a free agent, the club is not interested in signing him. FC Real Madrid have no interest in signing Paul Pogba either. The club cannot afford the ridiculous salary he is receiving from Manchester United. His salary is too high for anyone to afford. Yeah, it seems quite possible to see him leaving the team at the end of this season. But I don't think that he will have a hard time being signed by another team. Because there are teams like Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG are after him as far as I know. And in this case, I don't think that any of these teams don't have enough funds to sign him. Especially Real Madrid and PSG are very rich teams. They wouldn't have big problems on meeting his demands I assume.

Most chances he is going to leave Manchester United in this summer with trying to have his place in Juventus instead of Real Madrid because they are now not interested with having some other targets for them into next summer window with the rumours of Haaland, Mbappé and few more big players they can skip Paul Pogba and can go for better options specially when his ridiculous salary which is already issued for few clubs.

I agree here it's very fewer chances Barcelona will take this chance and most chances he will be going into some other club, likely Real Madrid or Manchester City because these both can afford luxury like this into their team right now.
