It makes no sense considering its for the same reason - poor performance and bad results. Mourinho is in the same situation as Ole ~ On verge of being sacked so there's no chance he might replace Roma. Zidane is a suitable candidate if only he would want to take up the job.

I don't think Mourinho could fix ManU awkward results and performance honestly. I find Zidane better although he doesn't seem to care a lot about managing them. I don't think even ManU management is thinking about such move.
Roma position right now is +/- the same as the previous years which is disappointing regarding the spending on the coach and new players.

Leicester became the champions with Ranieri even if they didn't have a very fascinating squad then. I can't even imagine what Newcastle can do with big transfers and a strong lineup.

AS Roma actually still need some players and I'm sure Jose Mourinho will find it difficult to see the situation he was in with yesterday's defeat was a very dramatic defeat so I don't think Jose will be sacked because Roma are still on the verge of being quite balanced in their current position, suppose Jose Mourinho in the future can improve his squad again I'm sure he can catch up with the points even though it's difficult.

So, Rodgers to United is apparently a done deal. He wanted to go at the end of the season but United's board made a 'take it or leave it' offer and he is bound to accept.

Rodgers has become a good coach since his Liverpool days and United will probably play a bit better, but they won't solve any major issues with him. He's still unproven in the transfer market and United will be left with the same problems they are currently having - they will have good players who don't know or want to play as a team.

Still, Rodgers deserved this so let's see how it goes. They will probably rise a bit by the end of the season.

for the umpteenth time he squandered an opportunity, and this should have been the last time when they lost to this city it was already final and had to leave.
on the other hand, I still can't say anything if the MU management is still on the side of Ole to this day.

playing against Manchester city, the odds were never in favor of Manchester united and the board knows it too...if a win came through yesterday then that would have been a bonus but this time around Ole and team werent lucky. As for Ole being sacked I say if the next 4 games coming , come without any wins i dont see any room for giving him more time to manage the team his gone ! And the suggested replacement where did you find our man can he really coach a big club as United...coaching players like Ronaldo, i dont think so, but it might be worth a shot Tongue

They can only fix one problem at a time and fixing the "manager" problem should be on top of their priority list. Ole might be a good manager (to some, like man utd management) but it's obvious that his tactics aren't working for team. A new man should ve brought in to try something new. Chelsea had a similar problem (quality squad but very little output).

How did they fix it?

Easy, bring in someone new along with all those new ideas and tactics.

Wasn't Ole rumor of yesterday's match the only thing that could have gotten Ole? If he loses, does he really have to leave Man United? United has so much money, even after being not so great for so many years now after SAF left, they are still getting one of the best jersey sales in the world, and after Ronaldo got there again, it became silly income, like seriously silly income, last I heard it moved beyond 150+ million pounds in jersey sales for just this year.

So, if they end up not getting a top notch, amazingly known, high end manager and instead end up trying to find some free agent to handle until end of the season or something then I believe the problem is not with the players, not with manager, not with staff or anything like that. The problem is with management. They already have enough money to buy out any clause for any manager and get them, hell even Barcelona managed to get Xavi when they are dirt poor, so I am sure United could get a very big name if they wanted to pay.
