I am also very surprise with this selection because right now they need someone who can bring them out of relegation and having some very good things in very short span of time about Eddie Howe he is not familiar with these things just have one job which also lost due to team's relegation, so it's big risk by Newcastle new management.

But, after reading some details I am feeling they are having no choice because Conte is already settled with Tottenham and Emery and Fonseca are also not interested, so this is mission impossible for new coach and management if they fail in this experiment then surely they have to go in Championship for one season because after having Eddie and giving him sometime they can end in some horrible result.

I see this as a temporary measure. They know they want the best and they can afford it at any time but they know also Newcastle does not have the pull until they can find a sporting director to buy the players they need,,, and then maybe a coach at a later time next year.

For sure,,, Eddie Howe is not the biggest name in football but as you say, it is not like they have any choice, and they could still do much worse than a guy who knows how to play attractive football unlike Steve Bruce  Grin

Xavi Hernandez named Barcelona coach
Good news for all Barca fans, after a group of very unhappy moments at all levels related to the club.
A challenge of a special kind during which he will lead the club in the most difficult circumstances, after leading his midfield to success, which was close to perfect at the time.
Will he succeed like Guardiola and Zidane? Will the biggest loser be like Pirlo and Lampard? This is what the coming days will prove to us.
Barcelona fans  needs to not compare him to Guardiola after the first two victories and do not have mercy on the days of Valverde after the first two defeats.. give him enough time to judge his ability with numbers and proofs himself.

I do recall some social posts admiring the way he managed Al Sadd and developed their play style with passing game and making the game more easy like he used to play at Barcelona. I think managing a bigger club is a new challenge for him but I think if he succeeds then he will revive Barcelona to its earlier days.

Regarding Guardiola, his usually managing style is to keep the possession but when he was at Barcelona it was actually the players in my opinion who took into another level with tiki taka and all. Guardiola has managed so many big clubs after Barcelona but I have never seen those clubs playing with tiki-taka style.

It seems like Roma coach Jose Mourinho is targeting Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks. Loftus-Cheek was already speculated to leave for a long time before but he still shows a great performance at Chelsea when he is given the chance. So maybe Chelsea coach Tuchel wouldn't like him leaving the club so soon if he maintains his good performance. Besides, these targets are both good for Roma. But they can look for stronger midfielders also.

Marco Asensio is currently not getting a place to play at Real Madrid, and according to reports, if AC Milan and Liverpool are interested in signing him in the January transfer window, currently Asensio still has a contract with Real Madrid until 2023, AC Milan and Liverpool are rumored to be able to get Asensio in the upcoming transfer window for a fee of 25 million pounds

It appears that both Nicolo Barella and Paolo Dybala will sign new contracts with Inter/Juventus. Barella extending is a major coup for Inter - he looks like a great player in the making.

Dybala is also doing a lot better at Juve after Ronaldo left, he has 3 goals and 3 assists in 8 games this season. Keeping him looks like the right move from Juve - he is a great player that simply could not find his game for a while. Hope that this is a fresh start from him, I really like him as a player.

Brozović is however still undecided - Inter wants to extend. The contract ends in June.

I would really love to see a link to this news/info, definitely Pep isn't going to stay at the Etihad forever, but I'm not sure if he is leaving very soon.
He is nearing the end of his contract and, as he stated earlier this year, he will step down after his current contract expires in 2023. He has been with the club for almost 6-7 years. This is an excellent opportunity to seek for a new challenge..

Brendan Rodgers on the other hand isn't doing too poorly at Leicester city, he has kept them in the top 5/6 for a couple of years now, and with the crop of players they have, that is somewhat of a good feat. Having said that, I personally do not think Brendan is a good choice to replace pep, neither do I think City are considering signing him as Guadiola's replacement.

Brendan Rodgers, a low-profile and experienced coach, would make a lot of sense to me as a replacement for Pep. He has performed admirably at every club he has managed since leaving Liverpool, he did wonders with Celtic, and now he has already given Leicester their first FA cup in 20 years after only two years at the club, as well as securing the Europa League last season. Even though I'm hearing this news for the first time, if Brendan is given half of what Pep was given, he would do a fantastic job at Manchester

Quote
City's manager after Pep is going to have a really tough time, it's going to be a bit difficult to coach a team pep just left recently, he has quite a lot of philosophies, so integrating yours in place of his is going to be somewhat tough
The players are quite aging so it would be difficult for sure for any manager to come in and perform wonders.

I too read it and this is one deal that might happen, because Coutinho has no future at Barcelona, and he has nothing to lose by coming to Newcastle. However you have raised an interesting point do Newcastle really need him, and will he be able to adapt, and I hope they’ll carefully evaluate this deal before purchasing him.
And this is the problem I find in this deal, Coutinho has nothing to lose ..."key words" and he probably wouldn't mind playing for another club at the moment because they keep benching him which is something every player will despise. But if this is meant to lure other big names into Newcastles club it could be a good player lure to be honest Tongue

We have the latest news about Newcastle United they are going to have new coach in next few days, all things settled now announcement is just matter of time.

Eddie Howe will be the new Newcastle manager. Agreement completed.

Actually Man United never contacted Conte to take over Man United as their manager. Ferguson and others decided to give Ole one chance in their match against Tottenham and he proved himself so they never really contacted Conte.
Is there an official statement related to this information? If it is true, I think Man United wants to take risks to give more chances to Ole. I personally don't know whether it is a good decision or not. We can know after the season is over, at that time we can see whether to trust Ole is correct decision or wrong.
That possibility to quell rumors, Fans is very disappointed and needs a statement from official, by pretending was contacting Conte they hope can extinguish the fire. I guess, Ole still continue until finish ( no change coach at winter) and that possible will continue until 2024 when he got at least 1 title. The official has loved a submissive man like Ole, Easy to arrange, even though all blame sharply to Ole, not the Official.

You speak so we'll of Ole Gunner Solskjaer, For him to continue till 2024 a total uping of he's strategies, and Manchester United should start winning matches comfortably.
The fans are vexed, because they are simply not used to loosing to this extent.
I hope a quick turn around, keep the submissive man aside,it's either he improved Manchester United or he leaves.

It seems Conte does not want to take the risk to manage Newcastle who in recent days Conte was rumored to be their coach.
He may think realistically. Tottenham has already some good players, they just need to add some other quality players on the next transfer window. While Newcastle, we don't know how good the management is in choosing the players in the next transfer window. Even signing top players, they must need a longer time to adapt among them.

Conte can build new team on Tottenham Hotspur because many star pkayer there and Conte can continue with great team before wi dow transfer opening, different if Conte become and have agreement with Newcastle United because waiting on January for wi dow transfer open and need hard work how to make star player want play for Newcastle United without play on champion league and now they have bottom position on the table.

Newcastle are now in the relegation zone and in 10 games in the Premier League without a win it is a very poor form. It is true that it is necessary to bring in some new players to strengthen the Newcastle squad, but the main thing for Newcastle management to do is to immediately find a quality coach.
To be honest I am quite surprised if it is true that Newcastle finally chose Eddie Howe as the new coach of Newcastle. After several main candidates such as Conte, Emery and Fonseca have failed to get. Newcastle with strong finances chose Eddie Howe was a bad choice, because I don't see Eddie Howe being able to get Newcastle out of the relegation zone. Without a good manager, it seems difficult to get out of the relegation zone.
If Newcastle are right to choose Eddie Howe as new manager, I don't see Newcastle's management being serious about removing Newcastle from the relegation zone.

It just shows that famous coaches do not want to break away from their seats in clubs and risk their professional reputation in order to try to pull Newcastle not just from the bottom of the standings, but from the relegation zone in general. Despite the fact that, according to Sky sports, the contract with Eddie Howe will be concluded for a period of two and a half years, it is clear to everyone that this is most likely only a temporary option and the main task of the coach will be to maintain the club's participation in the Premier League and then most likely other vacant candidates will be considered on the coaching labor exchange.

FC Barcelona is expected to formally appoint Xavi as its head coach on Friday. I hope the players can benefit from the hiring of Xavi. Barcelona has taken four months to appoint Xavi. Meanwhile, Xavier is under contract to Al Sadd. Therefore, both clubs must negotiate a deal. Can Xavi bring back the glory days of Barça? Does he have the coaching experience to do it?

Not an easy task to move someone from these countries if they have a contract.

They don't care about money so I will wait to see if he is really coming or not and what Barca will do to them to get the deal for releasing him.

Maybe a game in this summer break?

I believe that Coutinho is not a bad transfer, not because he himself is good enough, but it is important to keep improving the overall talent in the team. Today you get Coutinho, tomorrow you get another player that level, the other day you get another one, then you get a bit better, then you get another better, then you get a star level one, then you get another star, then you get a superstar at levels of haaland, mbappe, messi, ronaldo level player and then you have yourself a team that will fight for a title. But all of this starts with one player at coutinho level player.

Moreover, you have to get some players who are a little better and little better and gradually become a better team. It is going to take some time before they are great, nobody should expect them to fight for a title next season, it should take at least 3-4 seasons for them to be there.

I think it's very risky. Promoting someone so inexperienced in coaching to head coach takes courage and a lot of hope. If Xavi goes wrong, it will be very unpleasant for Barca. They could not only be eliminated in the group stage of the CL, but also fail to qualify for the European Championships next season. I hope for Barca that this will go well.

It is claimed that Manchester City would think of making an offer for the current Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers after Pep Guardiola leaves the team. As we know, Guardiola said something about leaving City in the near future some time ago. And Leicester are thinking of sacking Brendan Rodgers after having poor results. I'm not sure about whether he is the right manager to fill Guardiola's place at City. I would look for more successful managers if I were Manchester City.
Well, it's just a thought for now, nothing more. Leicester felt good only under Ranieri, a great coach was at the helm... I'm more interested in who then Leicester will put in the place of the head coach, because there are rumors about the dismissal, but rumors about the alleged options do not, it even bothers me a little
