https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/real-madrid-bid-220m-for-mbappe-and-await-response-from-psg/l3c69z8ooqcp1h8wdlwncyh77

According to Goal.com, Real Madrid offered even the amount that PSG wanted from them at the beginning (€220m). But PSG still turned down the offer. It looks like they have already run the risk of losing him for free. Because PSG really want to achieve the Champions League title in this season. They have a very capable team now. With Neymar, Messi and Mbappe, there is no opponent which they can't beat technically.

I assume that Real Madrid will offer a contract to Mbappe in January and Mbappe will join the team in the next summer.

If Mbappe should switch to Real Madrid, then there is a chance for Eden Hazard to go.
After Cristiano Ronaldo left Juventus Turin, there was not enough time to find a replacement. Juventus will look at signing Eden Hazard (contract at Real until 2024). He does not seem satisfied since his move from Chelsea to Madrid. There is probably the chance of a deal and Real can better pay the high salary of Mbappe.

Martial is a very good player that can give a striker much assists in a season, that is what a personality like martial does on the field. If you expect so many goals from him,you make be making mistakes, becos Martial is not always good at scoring goals, but good at making assists, and contributing to goals. He opted to stay because he wants to play alongside Christiano Ronaldo in the team.
If Ole uses him well I believe Martial will prove himself at the club.
Looks like Martial wants to challenge himself, maybe he still feels confident to get the main place at Man United. For that he has to compete with other players, especially there are 2 new players in Man United's attack line (Ronaldo and Sancho), so I think this is not an easy task for Martial. One thing is for sure, Martial has a strong mentality but unfortunately, he still can't make a maximum contribution and his performance is not getting better.
The great thing about being in premier league is that there are so many games played in that league, and I mean like literally 60+ games a year if you are lucky, not just premier league of course but with the league and the cup and European competition and all we are looking at nearly 60+ for some teams and that means you will need a lot of rotation, no player can play that much each season. Here we see the difference of "bench player" and just "rotating starting player".

You could have 2 players who are starters in the same position, give them like 30-30 games and you get yourself a decent amount of games, play Martian and Ronaldo each constantly, give Martial a start and sub him out and put Ronaldo in at minute 70 or so, then next game start Ronaldo and sub him out at 60-70 and put Martial in and do that every game constantly and you have 2 starters basically.

Window transfer have closed and all team not allowed to buy and sell player again, very sad PSG reject last confirmation to get Mbappe and become free transfer for that player if not extended contract with PSG. Still not expectation what happen with Mbappe for this year will allow to extended or become free transfer player in the next season, nice to see exactly on January when window transfer opening have new deal or not for Mbappe.

With Griezmann back at Atletico Madrid its even more sure that they will win the title.

I agree with you....
Griezmann is undeniably one of the best players in world football, but at Barcelona he didn't have the same prominence he had in Madrid, so I believe this transfer is beneficial for all sides and I also believe that we will see Griezmann shine again as before.

Barcelona is also in a bad financial moment, so in this part it also benefits from "letting go" of a player who is not being used as well as he should.
Apart from inconsistent performances in the last 2 seasons, of course Griezmann should be released in order to reduce the burden of Barcelona salary bill which is too high at the moment, but in my opinion in this case, Barcelona made a big mistake by returning Griezmann to Atletico Madrid, because the return of Griezmann will certainly make Atletico Madrid even more dangerous in the future and with the existing squad now this will certainly make Atletico Madrid chances to be champion again even greater.

I find Chelsea and ManU the most threatening teams for PSG in CL. Classically Bayern is a hard team full of surprises and City will face PSG in the group stage so we will have a better idea by the end of September. Imo PSG gonna get that trophy this year, betting for it to pass should be safe.
Otherwise with Griezmann on ATM, group B became more interesting to follow too!
Crazy transfer window this summer, PSG just refused to make it more weird by letting Mbappe fly to Madrid at the last minute for a fortune in very bad economic situation Roll Eyes

It is sure thing. Chelsea are the last champions in the Champions League and they have Lukaku also now. They have become much stronger than before. Bayern Munich are powerful like always. PSG managed to eliminate them in the last season but let's see if they will get a draw against each other again. Atletico Madrid are also very strong now with Griezmann's joining the team. They can do better things compared to last season.

Barcelona is still trying to open some space in their wage budget. Beşiktaş loan Miralem Pjanic from Barcelona. He gets 9.5 million Euro from Barcelona but Beşiktaş will pay 2.25 million Euro for this year. It's a good deal for both clubs as Beşiktaş need a great midfielder for their Champions League squad and Barcelona probably won't give him a chance in first team so Pjanic can play in Türkiye for all games and when he goes back to Barca either they sell him for good price or keep him at his best fitness.
Russian clubs also wanted Pjanic but he doesn't want to go to Russia, he is in national team camp right now and he talked to Tosic about Beşiktaş and agreed the deal. He will come to Türkiye with private jet in a couple of hours, because of regulations he needs to get medical control before signing contract. We'll see how fast they bring him, it's like a race we saw last year in Ghezzal transfer. Smiley

griezman is typical teamwork player , he didnt get a full chemistry there and thats a big problem ,pretty different with a solo player like neymar .. cristiano etc who often doing a solo run and become the only player to shine in a match . i feel bad for him during his time at barcelona, hopefully he will get backup and show that barcelona atmosphere is so wrong and not fit to him.

saul niguez to chelsea also pretty beneficial transfer , he could be the next kovacic who play very well at the first season-loan and get a permanent deal, excited with the current chelsea squad but still .. one haaland and one mbappe at chelsea would make our club unbeatable Grin

Indeed. Atletico Madrid takes advantage of this situation, with Griezmann on the squad, they have more options in the attacking line. Griezmann was also a superstar in Atletico Madrid previously, he will be easy to adapt with Atletico game style. Most players in Atletico Madrid are still the same as previously, the coach is also the same. I am pretty sure that Griezmann will have a bigger chance to show his best performance again in Atletico Madrid. This club have made him be popular and he must do his best to support the team winning the La Liga trophy.
Griezmann is very good at counter-attacking, he often scored in Atletico like that. As for Griezman's game in Barcelona, I can't say that he realized his full potential there, but now he had such a chance in Barcelona, when Messi left, but Atlético, as if trying to weaken his opponent in the fight for the championship, takes Griezman back to the team. Of course Griezman is great for Atlético, because he played there for a very long time and knows the tactics and requirements of Semione.

I agreed that Anthony Martial has not attained the ripe age for a complete striker, however with the arrival of Ronaldo will Ole Solskjaer play him regularly to bring out the best from him? absolutely No, the team has Cavani, Lingard, Rashford and Sancho who might likely play ahead of him, except he featured in Carabao and FA cups, he had already been given enough playing time to prove himself but failed, personally I don't view him like a complete striker, he should have been loan out to another club to gain more playing time just like James who signed a permanent deal with Leeds Utd not wanted to take things for granted by staying on the bench.

I also think that it would be a really good change for Anthony Martial to be loaned to some other club. Maybe it would be for the benefit of him at the end of his first season there. It would help him get his self-confidence again. Because I don't like something about him. He is quite clumsy when it comes to making use of goal chances. Actually, he was much better in the 19/20 season. He scored 23 goals and made 12 assists in 48 matches in total. He needs to be more stable.

I agree with you. He only scored 4 goals in 22 games last season, clearly a poor showing for a striker. And it's probably not a matter of age maturity. They now have Ronaldo, who will score more and it is unlikely Anthony will be released on the field in the starting lineup. It's possible he'll be available at the end of the match as a substitute. I'd probably put him at a different position, let him go to central, maybe that's his position.

Manchester United must be unhappy that Anthony Martial rejected the offer came from Lyon in the last minute.  Grin  I must admit that I really don't like Martial. He doesn't contribute too much to the team recently. He got only 7 goals and 9 assists in the last season. And this is not good enough for a striker. He wasted too many goal chances so far. He is not that qualified to deserve playing at Manchester Utd.

With Ronaldo joining the team's attack in the next couple of days, it would be hard for Ole to feature martial in any of the coming games. Since he has chosen to stay, they might as well use him as either a starter or a substitute for a much smaller tournament because I don't really see anyone in this man utd team that he can replace at the moment. His service delivery has been very poor increasing the need for him to look elsewhere for better opportunities or more playing time.

As far as I know, the best age range for a centre-forward is between 25 and 29. Anthony Martial is 25 years old now. I would like to see his performance here for one or two seasons from now on first. If he still has difficulty in scoring many goals, then I would rather seeing a much better forward or winger at Manchester United and alongside Ronaldo.

In the last minutes of the transfer window, Chelsea finally managed to loan Atletico Madrid's 26-year-old midfielder Saul Niguez. He played for 41 games in the last season and got 2 goals and 1 assist. He is a good midfielder and I believe that he will be really useful for Chelsea. If they like his performance, they might think of signing him permanently.
Chelsea acquiring a laon deal for Saul Niguez was really a good move. There is a high need to reinforce their midfield considering the consistent injury to the midfielders in Kante and Kovacic. Saul Niguez is a very good player. A very creative and intelligent midfielder. He was played several times out of his preferred position, reason for his less goals and poor match appearance. Saul has long wanted to play somehow forwarded when at Atletico Madrid, something closer to the No.10 position and not been deployed as a defensive midfielder. This is the kind of transfer I want a club to do. Now Chelsea has the depth in the midfield, can switch to any style they want. Hopefully he can be signed permanently if his loan spell is a success considering the fact that Kante will turn 31 by next year.

Yeah, Kante is getting old day by day. Chelsea might think of a midfielder who will be transferred permanently. I don't know whether Chelsea would think of Saul Niguez like this. It will be highly depending on his performance in general. If he succeeds to impress the team when he gets the chance, then it might be a permanent move. Otherwise, they would look for someone else.

Griezmann does a huge amount of work on the pitch, but in Barcelona he was constrained in his actions by Messi's dominance in the center of the field. And after Messi left, Barcelona did not give him a chance. In yesterday's game against Bosnia, he moved perfectly all over the field. I am sure that this season Griezmann will show his best game and will win the love of Atletico Madrid fans again.

Manchester United does have a lot of forwards, especially with the arrival of Ronaldo, Man United's front line is even more redundant. So Martial's
bad decision by rejecting an offer to play at Lyon, he said he would fight for a starting position. What is clear is that he is impossible to get,
because since joining in 2015 Martial has failed to make a good contribution to Man United. I agree with you that Anthony Martial doesn't deserve
to play for Man United, he should take the opportunity to leave Man United. I believe Martial will spend a lot of time on the bench if he insists on
staying at Man United.
