FC Barcelona has also been looking for temporary loans because it is evidence that they need to strengthen the team. Carlos Vela who received an offer to play for four months in Barcelona that he did not accept because he wanted to play for two years.
Let me remember this note here in the article.

~snip~ For Barcelona is a completely different scenario, imagine if Messi decides to call it quits next season.
What would it have been like if Barcelona without Messi could not be imagined.  As we see Messi is currently the spearhead of Barcelona, they are not even willing to sell it to any club.
Unlike Real Madrid, when they learn that there are players who have been more than 30 years old, they will rush to immediately find a replacement, no matter he is a great player like Ronaldo and Casillas they will still sell it.

I still think no matter how horrible Barcelona may go in the near future for a short term, they have an amazing long term plan that will never see them go out of top levels, la masia. They have one of the (if the not THE) best youth systems in the world, which means if they do not really continue to be great for the next few years after Messi retires, they will eventually get back on horse and become good again one day, maybe it may take some time but surely they will.

This is not because they will definitely find new superstars from their youth system, they very well may not but at least they will continue to sell their young stars for a quite good amount of money and they are raising hundreds of players every year, even if not all of them worth something, combined they value just one good player for a position, like  Coman for example, so they can definitely build a team that way as well.

Both Barca & Real need to build a new team, they both have players getting into their 30’s. Football goes in cycles, Real & Barca have dominated European football for along time. Maybe it’s time for other teams to take the manyoe now.
At Least Real Madrid has a contingency plan at the moment but not Barça. Things may have not be doing well for them but Zidane has tried to give young stars some chances especially in the midfield and back. Kroos, Modric, benzema have a couple of seasons before they get complete successors.

For Barcelona is a completely different scenario, imagine if Messi decides to call it quits next season.

Unfortunately this big break really puts Barcelona on the radar to drop eventually and that is why they need to get players who will make a huge difference for the team and they need to change the coach back to Pep if they can even afford to get him.

Messi is not getting any younger, dude is 32 and going to be 33 soon, he can play maybe 1-2 more years of superstar level but after that he is not going to really make that much of a change, xavi and iniesta has been gone for a long time as well, all of that golden years is leaving Barça from pique to everyone else, they are going to rely on the youth. Getting Coman is not a bad decision but Barça is known to raise amazing youth as well, I would have expected them to find some new stars in their youth system instead.

Real have already begun the transition with some younger players, though they have very little patience for assembling teams. About Barca, I absolutely have the same opinion as @bitgolden, will have a lot of problems with the post-Messi era. They are much more dependent on him than Real on Ronaldo. I wouldn't be surprised if Barca looks like Valencia in a few years.

Do these takeovers work the same way they did when the extremely wealthy groups bought PSG and Man City? I mean, can they inject tons of capital into the club and buy expensive players?

Probably yes... But it should be harder now with the FPP era inject a huge amount of capital.
Idk how it works when someone buys a team but in theory, now they can't do what City and PSG did in the past also keep in mind City is out of CL for fraud and PSG will be probably under investigation.

Gazzetta Dello sport today reported an eventual exchange between Griezmann and Martinez, they hope for this since they are impartial and from Milan city (yes in Italy we have a s***y journalism).

Don't follow this news, anyone can buy Lautario if he wants to leave for 111m € clause without any other deal.

Coman to Barcelona? Hard to say no to Barca, but he'll be a benchwarmer in spain. He should stay in Bayern where he's guaranteed a spot in the starting XI almost every weekend.

Just a thing, can anyone confirm this?

A new winger for Barça? The Catalans are reportedly interested in signing the pacey winger.

in my opinion a good winger but also very prone to injury...  Undecided

I personally doubt, that Kingsley Coman will move to Barcelona. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Oliver Kahn recently announced that Bayern won't sell him to sign Kai Havertz or Leroy Sané. In addition to that it also doesn't look like that Coman is interested in moving to another club. He still has a contract until 2023.

The German newspaper Sport Bild also reported on the topic today. They also posted that it's unlikely that Coman would leave Bayern at this point.

I would give this rumor about 10-15%.

Coman is a great player, if he could stop getting so many muscle injuries & stay fit he has the potential to be one of the most exciting players in Europe. He’s still so young, I can see him being a big success if he goes to Barca.
