They can still buy him if both teams reach terms on the deal. The release clause only means that an offer of €75 Million can not be turned down by his club (from 2022).

Yeah ofcourse they can but why you want to pay 120 now (especially now with the economical crisis caused by Covid-19) while you can have him for 75 in 18 months?

Besides that, you want to wait if he will fail on Dourtmound and save money or they will risk the same they did with James Rodríguez.

Move over United.  Real just showed interest on we could be the hottest prospect in Europe right now...  Haaland.  When Real calls, everybody listens to what they got to say.
Ya'll ready to see how my club destroys Haaland's promising football career?  Cool

We all know that Zidane will keep grandpa Benz in the starting XI and Haaland will be our typical sub in the last 10 to waste time, just like Mariano and Jovic  Roll Eyes

@tokeweed If Halland joins Real Madrid then he’ll be forgotten in one season only, as he’ll barely get any chance to show his magic on the pitch.

They can't buy him now.
He has a clause for 75 millions enabled from 2022.
If they want him they need to wait 2 more years also we have rumors about a potential agreement for Halaand-Juventus with the deal of Emre Can on the last winter session.

Real should point on Mbappè not Halaand imho.

@coinlocket$ you can forget about Real signing him as PSG will never sell him, and even if they do it won’t be below $250 million dollars so Real Madrid will have to turn their attention elsewhere.

A news report however says Real Madrid will target him read more details here:

Yup...  Better.

Anyway another deal I wanna get done is Alaba + cash to City for Leroy Sane.  I've always been waiting for him to play at the EPL.

A strong center forward is certainly needed by Juventus. It remains to be seen in what financial condition Juve will be after the Corona crisis. I believe we wont be seeing €100+ Million deals in the near future.

Mbappe is definitely a Real type signing, much more so than Haaland at this point. Mbappe is a true galactico, he fits the profile of a big Real signing. Failing that Real could move for Sancho?

But why did they have to wait till he joined Dortmund?
Making him a more expensive prospect for them, if Dortmund are ever going to sell Haaland to Madrid, it would be double or even close to triple of what they bought him for, he now has a contract with them, he is performing excellently, if they are going to let go, they will have to make up with the money they'll be getting, Haaland going to Madrid for me is not happening anytime soon.
It doesn't look like real Madrid will give up on jovic so soon, he cost them 65m
I don't also think so, that's what gives me the impression that this Haaland link is just a rumor, Benzema is still above jovic in the pecking order, giving him little chance to shine, if they are to get Haaland, they will have to sell Jovic and he'll be sold for a lower price than he was bought as his performances have dropped. And who's sure the same fate would not befall Haaland if he comes.

Maybe Haaland has also been interested in Real Madrid since long time ago.
Erling Haaland As the Main Target of Real Madrid in the Summer of 2020.
Adding strength to the attack line seems to have become Zidane's main agenda in the summer of 2020, in addition to Karim Benzema, who will turn 33, Luka Jovic, who was bought from Eintracht Frankfurt last season, has also not displayed maximum performance.

According to Marca[1] report, Real Madrid have planned to bring on the Borussia Dortmund striker who has collected 11 goals from 12 matches this season since joining in January.

And buying haaland won't solve Madrid problems either.

Zidane needs to find cover for modric, ramos and kroos, bring out the best in hazard
Fix injury prone varane, before their strikers can poach goals steadily.

The main problem has been little chances created

It's no secret when a soccer player is interested in the best clubs of all time.
Many footballers have claimed that they want to be part of the Real Madrid club.

When Real Madrid has an interest in one of the players, the possibility of failure to be brought to the Bernabeu is very small, if it is because they do not want to join Real Madrid, it must be because of Real Madrid's strong financial strength.
But why did they have to wait till he joined Dortmund?
It just looks exactly like the Mbappe situation... They had chance of getting him when he was still in Monaco but instead just late PSG sign him off and Opted to stick with Lord Benzema

If this is true I can't see Borussia Dortmund letting go Erling Haaland below 80 million Euros especially if the one inquiring is a top flight club like Real Madrid. Haaland now is worth 3 times the price when Dortmund bought him which is around 60 million Euros so I think they could realistically ask for around 100 million Euros for him. With that asking price I don't think that Real Madrid would want a good prospect with raw potential being the one leading them to score, they most probably get another seasoned players like what they always do when buying games changers in the transfer window.

Many players are tempted to want to go to the monster club but if Real Madrid wants one of the players then it can be easily whatever the price is as long as it matches according to the agreement.
Well indeed Real Madrid is very strong in terms of its finances so it's more stable that many popular players are anchored there because they offer fantastic salaries.

Maybe Haaland has also been interested in Real Madrid since long time ago.

It looks like that Philippe Coutinho might move to an English club. At least Bayern won't active his release clause, also FC Barcelona isn't interested in taking him back. What do you think, which Premier League clubs might be interested? Manchester United? Chelsea? Nevertheless, I doubt that any club will pay the astronomical price that Barcelona is calling.

The likelihood that Bayern will activate Philippe Coutinho's option to buy is almost zero. Even less likely with the current corona crisis. Barcelona doesn't want Coutinho back either and informed his agent to look for another club. English clubs are interested in a loan [Sky]

Coutinho left Liverpool too early, his career has nose dived since he left. Such a shame because he is a fantastic footballer, extremely gifted.

You might be right on that. It's pretty disappointing to see how he ruined his career with his poor transfer choices. With this huge price tag it will be pretty difficult for him to get a foot back on the ground. Everyone will rate him by his price tag and if thats still something between €60-80m, he is clearly not delivering what people are expecting. He still has his brilliant moments, but honestly if you compare him to other midfielders at Bayern currently, most of them are doing a better job than he does.

If i were you, i would never say Coutinho has ruined his career. He made a huge choice about winning trophies, and he got them at barcelona.
He left Liverpool because he was joining the best team in europe on paper, only for him to dwell in messi shadows, just like neymar.

If i were coutinho, i would find a team that wants me for my role and playmaking way, not just to add to numbers.
At Bayern, Coutinho is just another number of attacking midfielders.

Cristiano Ronaldo Reportedly Wants To Leave From Juventus
Some time ago, news emerged that if Juventus were satisfied with the appearance of Cristiano Ronaldo, it made the club then reportedly wanted to give a two-season contract until the player was 39 years old.

Unfortunately, this expectation seems to be difficult to do, the article according to US English[1] reports, Ronaldo is reported to have planned to leave Turin and even claimed to have received a fantastic offer from PSG.

It's actually a shame when you look at how well his former club Liverpool have been doing since his exit, they have won the Uefa champions league and are also going to win the English premier league when the league resumes, he on the other hand has had a very difficult time since he left, failed at Barcelona and didn't do too well at Bayern, for now it was a wrong move for him.

Coutinho could be a good inclusion in the Chelsea team, he could play their style in my opinion, as they play a very direct type of football, the problem now is how much money do they have to bring out to buy him, would they want to do that?
