Indeed.

A big call he had when a dream move to Barcelona sounds like undeniable...
But he forgot that Barcelona is not for everyone. Now he is in weird situation where the club Barcelona and his ex club liverpool didn't want him.

There you go Manchester United for you Grin

I'm always in a mixed space when it comes to guys like him. At least he wasn't like a whiny Sterling, and he played professionally to the end, but he really shouldn't have had his head turned. But a dream is a dream and I can never fault a guy for going where his heart wants. If it wasn't all Red, then he would never have been truly happy, so yeah.

Man Utd? If he ends up going there, then all the best. I hope he'll do well wherever, except when he plays against us.
I can feel you mate.

Just like when courtois refuse to stay at Chelsea as a dream move to Madrid is the best choice for him as for the strong family reason.
He remains professional despite called out as a snake by the Chelsea fans for months.
We can't really blame them though.

It's just a rumor.. eventhough realistically he should pick United over the other one Leicester city but who knows eh?

As told you yesterday the news about De Ligt to Real Madrid has been proven fake news and created to sell papers...

Raiola is not talking with real, case close.

https://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/serie-a/juventus/2020/04/05-68582227/juventus_de_ligt_e_il_real_la_verita_/

It's nothing new. I guess 95% of all transfer speculation was fake. Also, I think, football mangers like Raiola most commonly use such methods to get a better contract for his players or higher price. Of course, therefore its fee is higher. Just check speculation about Pogba, almost every week they going to Juventus or Real Madrid and so back for three years. But he is still in the same place.

For now not many people know this, including me. Juventus are always good at every transfer they make with cheap and free purchases every season. This is what I am pleased with juventus management, which does not require to buy star players every season.
Juventus were given the nickname "the old lady", perhaps because they accommodate players for free or buy players who are old but who still have a strong physique.
I often know that Juventus rarely buy young players.
Like C.Ronaldo who was brought in from Real Madrid, which is no longer young but can still bring Juventus to be champions last season.
Indeed, Juventus management has a good marketing strategy, without spending much money they can still win.

LOL! @ The next iniesta, but imho he could have been, but not with Neymar gone, I think Coutinho plays best when there is adequate support on the flank, but that's the only thing Barcelona couldn't provide for him. Instead, he was mostly deployed on the flank himself. Barcelona asking price is 80M, If only Bayern could be willing, he could be a steal for that price.

And the current Barcelona board really needs to be dissolved, except maybe De Jong, I can't remember the last time the club made a good deal, just desperate signing of players to save face and none has turned out well.

Coutinho left Liverpool as their man man, he was the guy who made things tick. Like many players before him like Alexis Sanchez he went to Barca & maybe couldn’t cope with the pressure & playing second fiddle to Messi.

He should have stayed where he was, he could have played in two CL finals.
thing is who could say no to Barcelona and Messi? Barcelona were like "we think you have the potential of becoming the next Iniesta, would you like to come to Spain?"...
Coutinho be like:

I’ve never seen him play but Juve don’t fuck about, they don’t make many bad transfers.
I've seen him a lot this season, the kid is top-class (fantastic dribbler, good pace, great passing, scores goals) and I'd be hella furious if he goes to Italy. I want him in my Real Madrid so bad, #FuckIsco #FuckLucasVasquez

How the hell can the clubs afford it?  I think it's gonna take a while.
I don't know about the small/ bottom half of the league clubs, but the big clubs have tons of cash. Last year Real Madrid signed a 1billion deal with Adidas for the next 10 years, that's like 100M every year, and that's only one sponsor. Barcelona have Nike, Man Utd have Chevrolet, etc, etc.

Many have written off Mandjukic many times but have been mistaken every time.
Mandjukic is a player with character and the best defensive striker, who constantly puts pressure on opposing players and selflessly helps his team.
A striker is usually applauded if he can help out defensively by maybe putting a little pressure on opposition defense while they start attack from behind, but that is only about 2% of what a striker is expected to do, the other 98% is to score goals, Mandzukic cannot be said to be effective in that aspect, he isn't a prolific goalscorer and that aspect of his game has gone down with the years, surely cannot lead the line for any top European team.
He's no older player than Ronaldo and he certainly has a tremendous desire to prove he still can play.
Ronaldo is on a far different level from Mario Mandzukic, Cristiano has proved that he can deliver even despite his age, the fact that Ronaldo can still play at the top level at his age and even longer doesn't mean Mandzukic can, mind you Cr7 is a five time ballon d'or winner.

^  I think they're gonna be reluctant.  I mean think about it, this is the first time something like this has happened.  The world economy shut down and then what...?  I don't think everything will pick up where we left it.  It could take many months to get back to where the economy was imo.

We could even go thru an economic crisis.  Who knows how long that would take.

I can't see how all the transfer rumors (esp. the one with big money) can still be true.  Seriously...  How the hell can the clubs afford it?  I think it's gonna take a while.

I guess Pogba has to endure United for another season or two.  Lmao.  Cheesy

They already said it, the FFP will be changed for this year and the next one.
So I guess club will still spend somehow, less cause prices will decrease inevitably.

Ferran Torres is close to being a new Juventus player according to tuttosport.

I don't know him but his has already a big valuation so it should be a good player I guess

https://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/calciomercato/2020/04/04-68529567/ferran_torres_alla_juve_con_uno_scambio_ecco_i_dettagli/

Does anyone know him?

I’ve never seen him play but Juve don’t fuck about, they don’t make many bad transfers. He looks to be very young & has represented Spain at all youth levels. 62 games for Valencia is no joke at that age either.

I saw a rumour that Leicester might try to buy him. I tell you what, it’d be some fall from grace to end up there. He should have stayed where he was, he could have played in two CL finals. But then again we used the Coutinho sale money to buy VVD & Alisson.
Yep.
He'll travel to another mediocre teams over and over again then his career would ended sooner than he can imagined. Unless if he managed to bring EPL trophy back to Leicester of course it could be a different story which it's unlikely happened realistically.

It won't be the same if coutinho stay... without VVD & Alisson I guess liverpool won't be in those 2 CL and won'tbe in an invincible run, you know what I mean.

I recently read that former Juventus footballer Mario Mandjukic is not happy with the quality of the current league where he plays (Al-Duhail Club) and that he wants to return to Europe and find a new Club there.
What do you think?
Given his age and playing in an exotic football league, is there any chance he could play for another serious European Club again?

As a Juventus fan, I think he is stupid if he thinks this now.
He refused United (deal done till the evening canceled by him the following morning), Dortmund Barcelona and many others and now he wants to come back?

He was only a deadweight (cash) in the last 6 months...

Many have written off Mandjukic many times but have been mistaken every time.
Mandjukic is a player with character and the best defensive striker, who constantly puts pressure on opposing players and selflessly helps his team.
It's really sad how Juventus got rid of him, not giving him a real chance.
It's true that he hasn't had a chance to play serious football in the last year and because of his stubbornness he probably missed big opportunities to play at ManU or Borussia, but I Mandjukic wouldn't write it off completely.
He's no older player than Ronaldo and he certainly has a tremendous desire to prove he still can play. Given his warrior character, I think he can still show a lot, even as a backup for a some club.

~~ according to Football Espana[1] reports, De Ligt's agent, Mino Raiola is reported to have offered the center-back to Real Madrid
Good news, as Madrid fan I support this player to come to Bernabéu. De Ligt will be perfect as the partner of Raphael Varane and the substitution of Sergio Ramos. I'm pretty sure that Madrid will be interested and serious to have one of the biggest talents of Netherland youngsters. He'll make Madrid's defense stronger.

He shouldn't have left Liverpool.  Klopp was pleading for him to stay cos he was gonna build his squad around him.  He could've been a club legend...  Oh well.

And yes please.  Send him to Man U.  Cheesy
