^  I think it's gonna depend on the player and his situation.  Take Pogba...  Pretty sure he wants to leave right away once the season has officially ended.  No need to 'raise his stock'.  He's could've really been downing tools imo.  Lol.  Cheesy

If any team gives a lot of money for Pogba then it will be fooled at the most.
The problem with Pogba is that he wants to leave but he wants to get transferred to a top club not a medium one. And his performance is not for being transferred to a top club as he has a downturn in his performance.

It looks like that Philippe Coutinho might move to an English club. At least Bayern won't active his release clause, also FC Barcelona isn't interested in taking him back. What do you think, which Premier League clubs might be interested? Manchester United? Chelsea? Nevertheless, I doubt that any club will pay the astronomical price that Barcelona is calling.

The likelihood that Bayern will activate Philippe Coutinho's option to buy is almost zero. Even less likely with the current corona crisis. Barcelona doesn't want Coutinho back either and informed his agent to look for another club. English clubs are interested in a loan [Sky]

Looks like the red devils are satisfied with Ighalo: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8144257/Man-United-sign-Odion-Ighalo-15m-summer-strikers-loan-deal-set-expire-May.html

15M for an average 30yo bench warmer striker sounds a bit pricey, should save that money and go for Timo Werner or Raul Jimenez.

it's a pity, but we still haven't seen the real picture of Ighalo performance. They have solid statistics, but with very few minutes played.
For me, Ighalo is much cheaper solutions than Lukakku and they have about the same quality. Plus, he expressed a great desire to play only to Man. United regardless of salary or how many minutes it will play. Playing for Manchester United is privilege for them, and such a player approach is ideal for the club.

Been reading that Man United wants to acquire Aubameyang from Arsenal and Thomas Lemar from Atletico.  I guess those two could go for a much less than the usual bloated market price.
Auba should definitely go to a bigger club, he's wasting the last years of his career in Arsenal. IMO Lemar is overrated, i've seen him countless times in Atletico and his performances have been nothing but underwhelming :/

^  I guess...  But we'll see.  It really feels like United and other clubs (Everton?) are gonna take advantage.  If this whole virus outbreak thing gets under control that is.

Well you can always add disgruntled and unwanted players to the exception but expecting this next transfer window to become a buying spree I wouldn't imagine it from happening especially if teams didn't have earned enough money during this season. The ones selling star players would sell their players below their real market value just to cover up some losses, this will be something big clubs would be waiting to happen since they are the ones who still have money left after this will end.

Then again I think some clubs could take advantage on some bargains.  Been reading that Man United wants to acquire Aubameyang from Arsenal and Thomas Lemar from Atletico.  I guess those two could go for a much less than the usual bloated market price.

I think Areta should acquire Ings as Auba's replacement.  Smiley

I do agree that the transfer market have changed once they have cancelled most of the European football leagues. If you think about it cancelling/postponing a league season would simply mean lost of income entirely except for the fixed sponsorship revenue they have other modes of revenue such as gate receipts, tv revenue, prize money in competitions, as well as various clauses all of which won't be going into any club because of the suspension. So I'm really expecting that the ones being rumored to be transfer listed now will be out of the list and instead try to raise their stocks when they are playing the next season.

Is it just me or it just feels like this year's summer transfer window would see most players sold at a bargain?  I don't think most clubs would be keen in buying after the outbreak and all...

It is not just you, I do think the same as I believe most teams are also affected by the crisis as they lose some income. As a effect, most team wont spend high amount to buy players especially high price players like what we see in the last decade. Dropped price is reasonable with this current situation.

It looks like Corentin Tolisso is about to leave FC Bayern München. The market value of the french midfielder is currently about €32m. In my opinion a transfer would make sense, since Bayern might sign Havertz on his position. And to be honest, Tolisso never delivered what most the Bayern fans expected. He always played decent but never extraordinary. What do you guys think? Would he fit to to Inter?

Inter Milan are interested in signing Corentin Tolisso in the summer. Antonio Conte likes Tolisso very much and Inter have already tried to sign him from Lyon in 2017. The Frenchman would be available for around €35m [@Gazzetta_it]

I wonder why his value is on 32m due to the fact - as you already said - he didn't deliver the expected performance to Bayern.
I think that this price is just a starting price. He is not going to get any transfer bigger than the 20m. And most importantly if he joins Inter he is going to be on a good competition with other midfielders.

Yep, Player value is going to drop due to a lot of factors
- We may not see competitions like Euro this year which usually tend to amp up the player value if they perform well
- Most clubs are already making losses due to the current crisis. They definitely wouldn't want to spend heavily in the transfer window

Don't think so, UEFA is talking about "removing" the FPP for this year and maybe next one too.

Also, keep in mind next year we will probably see a -20% on players' salaries/ market value till the economy catch back up.

I hope Tolisso will be fit to inter because he is a quality player. You know that he is one of the world champion. So, he has international playing experience and quality. Again he is not so much worthy for Barella or Brozovic that's why he can easily achieve a place in inter.

I never really got in to soccer (okay football for all you non-muricans) until a work buddy got me interested in champions league. I was pretty blown away at the level of competition..being that my point of reference included mainly just MLS and the US team lol

I started watching just in time for the best game of all ..Classico. Barcelona vs Real with the two goats going head to head with supporting casts featuring icons like Suarez and Neymar.

Now that THE pretty boy fled Real, and the other pretty boy fleeing Barca..I’m pretty annoyed (I Fn loved watching those epic Classico matches). Not so much for the moves made but how they are allowed to be made. Isn’t it just as simple as ..any team can have any player , they just have to pay up for it and get the player to agree?  The sports I watch most don’t have this type of transfer system. Guys just can’t easily leave and teams can’t just so easily buy guys away from other squads.  This seems like it would suck as a die hard fan and it opens the door for more corruption from the most corrupt league office of all..FIFA.

Pogba if he will leave he leave for 60-70 m.
If I was a coach I would not even pay up to that for "this current Paul Pogba" and I am being honest about that, I'll rather find a younger and more hungry player to spend that amount of cash on, Pogba is unpredictable, he can on some days be world class, and the next game he plays like a non-league player, that's not the kind of "attitude" that should cost that much.

I cannot wait for all this corona virus troubles to stop, so we can continue with the beautiful game, I am eager to know the club that will eventually sign Paul Pogba into their team and if he'll become the player everyone expected, there.

I like your analogy of the paul pogba scenario and with joy i tell that you are very right and spot on
The dream move to Madrid is one of the reasons of the burst up between pogba and mourinho

Pogba agents need to realize that neither madrid or juventus is interested in Pogba, why ? Because madrid has odegaard and valverde doing well.
While juventus just cannot afford the fee requested by manchester united.

Noone will pay him 150M with 7 games played this year and only 1 year left on his contract especially on the current COVID19 situation.
Only Real did a similar thing last year with Hazard, 100 million and 12 months left on his contract.

Pogba if he will leave he leave for 60-70 m.

It’s a bit disrespectful of Pogba to be captured wearing the Juve shirt. I think we all know his heart lies away from Man Utd though. He’ll move in the summer most likely.

Pogba is not considered as the smartest guy on earth.
He doesn't like his move to Manchester United. He wanted to go there stay for 1 season and then get another transfer to a bigger club. But his plan didn't go well so now he wants to return back to Juve.
