Emre Can was not included in the Champions League squad for the group phase of the UCL. He was pretty disappointed and wrote about it on Twitter saying that the club promised him CL football. He said that PSG approached him during the summer but Juventus gave him assurances that they count on him and he turned PSG down. Maybe a January move is possible.

Looks a trend for any player who leaves Liverpool on a not so good terms. Mandzukic also didn't male the cut, I wonder which other two top players would have made the cut If Juventus had sign Pogba and/or Neymar.

The truth is Juventus has a huge squad, especially in the midfield position. I'm quite surprised that Can feels he'd be so important had he moved to PSG.
Based on current form there's no one on either of the teams squad list that I'd rather have Emre Can replace, the same thing goes for Mandzukic. However, the club shouldn't have promised him anything If they weren't going fulfill it.

Mandzukic refused like 6 teams, he wanted to stay at all costs but he is a player for Sarriball.

Juventus cut him from the list, he refused so many good opportunities even PSG.

For Emre Can it was a very hard choice but even he is not so good for Sarriball.

The CCs of Juventus were

Emre Can
Miralem Pjanic
Aaron Ramsey
Adrien Rabiot
Rodrigo Bentancur
Blaise Matuidi
Sami Khedira

The only 2 who were on duel IMHO were Matuidi and Ramsey (He maybe need time to heal).

According to Deportivo the next year Neymar can use a FIFA's Rules and he can leave PSG for "only" 170M €.

This is a very affordable amount for top clubs nowadays.

If that’s true I can see a lot of clubs being interested next summer. Will be interesting to follow, maybe Man City, Barca, Real, Juve.

in my opinion that number can be said to be still large. The club will think long about buying neymar. They can buy several players with funds of 170 million €. Unless you really want to buy Neymar, Neymar is good in the field. His contribution will be very much for the club.

I'd rather pay 170M for De Bruyne, or B.Silva, or Mané, than spend all that money on Neymar...The first three are garanteed to give you top-notch performances, Ney is a big question mark.
Honestly i also don't feel Neymar's pitch side has been taking a deep dive over the past months and very soon, if the trend does not reverse he will just be another "normal" footballer who can only thrive in weak leagues before he even hits 30.

Yes Media has an eye on him every time and this hype makes clubs want to buy him because of the revenue he would return in terms of sales in merchandise and sponsorship deals but what use will it be if he is no longer able to be a top player or game changer.

In case someone here knows spanish, here's the article talking about Neymar and the specific FIFA rule: https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20190904/47179446863/neymar-clausula-rescision-psg-barcaa.html

Btw, over the last year, how much have we (football fans) talked about Neymar's performances rather than his life outside of a football pitch? I don't remember the last time I saw an article or watched some video talking about Neymar playing football.

• Icardo (Inter Milan) to PSG almost done deal. Medicals right now. Official announcement in a few hours.

I believe that icardi's deal is the most interesting one.
Finally he managed to get a transfer and in a big club that he will be able to have the opportunities to show his talent. It will be also very competitive in PSG so he needs to be a hard-worker if he wants to be in the first line up.

ICardi transfers have already taken place and the loan status and at the end of the season have only been fixed permanently.
Finally, the icardi trip at Inter has finished, a good choice to PSG. It is hoped that Icardi can contribute a lot to PSG, especially for the Champions league.

Same for us in Madrid. I'd say we're going to see some huge signings, even bigger ones than in the summer, in the next transfer window. Man Utd, Barca, and Real Madrid, looking at how they're playing right now, if they don't improve, they're bound to spend tons of money to reassemble their squads.

Are you sure, summer?
Take the example of the random one, Pogba.

Manchester United is not on Champions.
He is under attack by ManU fans.
He keeping posts with Juventus related things.
He is under attack by racists.
Players can now Join the UEFA Champions team list of players after the group stage, and even change list. (so for example if Neymar will sing on January with Barca, he can play Champion with them from January).
His contract will expire soon.

Also, Eriksen will be free for free in 9 months. He wanted only Real.

ANYWAY

The biG news is, NOW PREMIER LEAGUE IS THINKING to change his summer window to line it up with the other majors league.

This means that they also probably change the start of their season by 2 weeks later.

Neymar didn’t move then as expected. Another year at PSG for him, he’ll have to sort his disagreement(s) out with the hierarchy there. I think he’ll get his move but it will probably be next summer. Maybe he can give PSG fans a season to remember.
It mustn't be a complete year, he could still make his move in the January window.
The PSG board have succeeded in frustrating his move away from the team, despite not wanting him and his tantrums slowing the team down.

Fractured relationships would have to be mended, or else Neymar may find playing time hard to come by, but on a second thought it'll be foolishness to pay him the amount they do, have him fit and yet bench him(plus all their injury problems), Neymar would slot back into the team.

Btw, PSG are the new "Galacticos", or is it just me? Icardi, Cavani, Neymar, Mbappe, Di maria, Verrati, Thiago Silva, etc, etc  Shocked

Not a bad move imo.  He'll have a huge impact on Sevilla's squad as I think they'll be trying to finish at the top 4 with all the player acquisitions and the hirings of Lopetegui and Monchi.
He was great when we had him in Real Madrid on loan, always gave his 110% in each game, a true warrior. I wish him the best (except scoring a goal against us)

interesting, whether neymar is still respected by supporters when he plays later. let's see neymar game looks like if he's still in PSG. Hopefully he can play as usual and act professionally like Paul Pogba in Manchester United. and i think the PSG

No news about Neymar, Pogba, or Dybala so far. Seems like they will stay in their respective clubs.

So far it is true that they will remain in their respective clubs.
even though there are so many rumors related to their transfers, but rumors are still rumors. Maybe we will see their transfer in January (hopefully that happens)

Chicharito was the 15th (!!!) new player Sevilla brought in just in that transfer-window, what is probably the record in Europe (?!).

Can anybody knowledgble in La Liga explain why there was such a hard-cut in Andalucia?
