Because they could afford him? Aside from that, Both Messi and Ronaldo are superstars in Football therefore any team that sign them will be getting alot more from all those official merchandise , shirts etc. That also means alot of Messi's fans will start to watch Manchester City, getting more impression for the team each time they play

I mean who wouldnt want to watch Messi play on Premier League? Even if you support another team on Premier League, you will still want to watch Manchester City . I definitely want to eventhough I am supporting Manchester United Tongue

Netherlands does better on international stage now but it will be many more years to get to a stage where people WANT to go to Ajax and not leave it.

I wonder if he made the right decision by joining Manchester Utd as there are many clubs that are interested in him.

Guardiola traveled to Spain happened last week Tuesday if i could remember correctly and as I read he went there for more preparation for Messi leave.

Yep, every player has the right to move or stay. As Messi seems to feel better moving than staying in Barcelona, everyone must respect his decision. And La Liga has just confirmed that the 700 million buyout clause is still valid. If that's the case, I don't see City or any team paying such a ridiculous amount of money. And god I will miss these ~~daily~~ hourly news-updates about Messi and Barca once this transfer period is over.
