Anybody think there will be any huge transfers this January, I mean huge money deals? Nothing that shocking has happened yet, surely some big clubs will open their wallets soon?

Martin Caceres seems destined to join Juventus for a third time in his career, this time it seems to be just a 6 month loan deal from Lazio. Benatia is not getting the desired playing time and reports suggest that he has accepted an offer from Qatar so Caceres is set to become his replacement.

More nonsense : Thierry Henry just got sacked by Monaco.

WTF is going on in French Football ? Is everybody crazy or what ?
I had read it in an English media but thought it was a joke, they want to hire back Leonardo Jardim, the coach they sacked 3 months ago.
Ridiculous !

Terrible from Monaco that is. You might say quite embarrassing behaviour. What do they expect after selling pretty much every player who made them good in that glory season. Everything was bound to go to shot.

Fabinho is gone
Mbappe is gone
Bernardo Silva is gone
Mendy is gone

Results are bound to suffer if you tear the backbone out of your XI.

Jardim suffered and was sacked. Henry was never going to produce miracles. I don’t know what they expected. You can’t make a gourmet meal out of shit ingredients.

And in a recent twist of fate for Jardim, he's rehired and back managing Monaco again.  ROFLOLMAO!  This is hilarious!

I mean seriously...  Is this real?  Lololol.

Very good for Henry that he left corrupted and frauded Monaco
I hope the  same for Falcao and other players
Monaco is on the relegation way
Monaco needs new owner first somebody who will be interested in club growth
Monaco had fantastic team and what left just ashes

In a case of Piatek. He will have not easy life now because  Milan is suffering because of lack of offensive midfielders few of them are injured  when they will be back Milan can be strongest team
Milan now is not creating much of goals opportunities

I will watch Real game in CL
One ex player and current coach told that he never saw Real playing that kind of poor football
It is not only because of Ronaldo departure .In  a game against Sevilla Real had 30% of ball possession
Hard to believe in a case of club where still best midfielders are playing
If Real will not qualify to next round we will see revolt on Madrid  streets

About Paredes, if i remember correctly, Real Madrid were interested in him last year,  so maybe these teams see something that we don't because honestly, I also think he's average.

PSG need a defensive player, something he is not. He's a good technician yes but they have that already.

What do you think about the outcome of PSG vs Man Utd?
Even if Neymar is out of both legs I think & hope PSG will be too good for United. Players like Mbappe & Cavani can still destroy you in a second.

Mbappe is still a good alternative to destroy Manchester United's defense and score some goals that will lead them to the next stage. However, I think that the match is going to be a difficult one because Man Utd's players will strive for the qualification. They don't have to lose anything as they are out of Premier League title rally and they will probably see both games with PSG as "finals".

Piatek to Milan is DONE. Now reports suggest that Milan is after ex-Atletico Madrid player Carrasco. I think he plays in China at the moment so Milan will need to offer big wages if he is to consider coming back to Europe.

Thierry Henry's sacking was inevitable IMHO, and I was already looking to hear the news way before now, Monaco's problem is definitely not Henry, the went a step far too much with their sales, and ignorantly never replaced them. The Irony about their situation now is that all the so called money they claimed to have made then might not be able to keep them from relegation.

PSG is unpredictable but I agree.
I don't see the midfielder thing as a problem. You can put Marquinhos, Draxler or even Dani Alves (that's what Tuchel has been trying lately) there. And I have a feeling Verratti will be ready to play.
Honestly I think MU's defense is too weak.
Plus I don't see MU's euphoria last for 3 more weeks. Mourinho's sacking has given the players a lot of confidence but I think that will pass eventually.
I'd go with PSG.
And Neymar being out would give more responsibility to Cavani. Mbappe and Neymar love playing together but they don't make many passes to Cavani which frustrates him. If Neymar's out, expect Cavani to be more influential.

By the way i have been reading that Naymar is injured and probably he will not play in at least first game against Man United

It's not yet known how long he'll be out.
It's the same foot he has already injured. If it's broken, he can be out for 6 months. If it's just an inflammation, it should be a week.

Talking about overpaying players, PSG just signed Argentinean MF Leandro Paredes for 47 millions.

PSG have been looking for a MF for about a year and a half... and they decide to spend that amount on an average player in January. Nonsense if you ask me.
Why didn't they try to sign a top player before the season started ? Why wait to be in a desperate situation and be forced to sign someone like that ?
I don't think they expected Rabiot to decline the contract extension so they had to prioritize signing a new midfielder asap.

Latest transfer & rumours:

- Jordan Lukaku (Lazio) to Newcastle on loan done deal.

- Cedric (Southampton) close to signing with Inter.

- Gelson (Atletico Madrid) could go to Monaco on loan.

- Juventus keen on Emerson.

- Ajax keen on Pavón (Boca Juniors).

Messi is football maniac he is addicted to football can't live without playing
If his health will be ok then he will play until 40 years old like Gigs
Barca is doing well buying new young players .Barca has enough older players Busqets .Rakitic Pique etc they will end his careers maybe not now but in coming years
Only one thing what i don't like in Barcs is that Barca is buying instead of educate and growth talents from Barca academy
All previous generation of great players including Messi came from Barca academy
Great players with emotional personal relations with club

Barca could be coming to an end of an era. Messi in his 30’s, Suarez also in his 30’s & slowing down. Messi has carried them for years, will they enter a period of transition now? Real are witnessing something similar with Ronaldo leaving.

That's not an overstatement, Messi will be the duly missed whenever he leaves, And Barcelona could make the best preparation for his departure by bringing the best out of Dembele and Coutinho, both players combined could try to fill in the void if taken with proper care, and I think Dembele will see a lot of development if should stay with club as it has been obvious that Messi has taken him fully under his wings.

Dembele is a great player, same with Coutinho. Neither can dominate matches like Messi has/does. He’s one of the greatest players to ever kick a ball.

Yes but they also had some promising players that ended up being flops like Kishna, El Ghazi, Zivkovic, Viktor Fischer, Bazoer.
That is why I have said that Barca is on a risky position here. As of now we don't know if de Jong will live up to what Barca have paid for him. Eredivisie is not as competitive as other European leagues out there and we don't know if de Jong will successfully translate his level of play in La Liga. The good thing is he is still young and has a lot of time to develop in the league. Another thing about young players is they still retain some of his value even if they reached the ages 24-25 so Barca still has a lot of time to see if Frenkie de Jong is the right fit for the team.
