You are so wrong. Juve did buy Morata and he signed a 5 year contract but Real had a buy back option of 30 mil. And after leave Real for Chelsea, he said
" I should not have left Juventus, Real Madrid treated me like a child"
Yes, that is true. I was wrong in saying that he was loaned out. I meant to say that even though he did sign a permanent deal with Juventus, Real still had a buy-back option for the next two seasons. And they exercised their right in Morata's 2nd season with Juventus but only to sell him to Chelsea for a bigger fee.

Just wanted to mention that PSG's Marco Verratti is supposed to be out for 3 weeks. He could miss the first leg against MU.
And since PSG desperately need to sign (even more now) a midfielder, this could be a big advantage for MU.

If you asked me 4-5 weeks ago I’d say PSG would humiliate United over 2 legs. Now Jose has gone the whole club has been given a big lift. It could be a lot closer now.

I don't know. I mean they got a great boost from Mou's sacking but a season is about ups and downs and though right now they're euphoric, all this energy spent might come back to bite them in the ass.
There's a reason why they played so terribly in the beginning of the season and it's not just the manager. They're not that good a team, especially defensively. I believe that in big games, the best teams on paper usually prevail and on paper, PSG is definitely a better team. When you got a trio like Mbappe, Neymar and Cavani against you, you better have a solid defense.
Anyway, a lot can happen in 3 weeks.
But yeah, it's definitely a closer game now than it was a few weeks ago.

I really can't understand what Barca are doing in transfer market sometimes. They were also interested in Carlos Vela, but then reached loan agreement for loand deal with Sassuolo and Boateng will play in Barca until end of this season. Barca had Munir as backup, and replayed with player who's prime is in past...
I think Valverde just don't have long term strategy. We saw many strange transfers under his management - Paulinho, Vidal, Boateng, Murillo, Malcom. Valverde is pragmatic, and he just want to reach best results, he don't neccessarily need to buy something fancy or popular. It's normal that not transfers are successful. But I don't want to agree with you that Coutinho is a flop. There was some bad signings, but I have positive opinion about Coutinho so far.

Kelvin-Prince Boateng ? Let me guess, No one saw that coming until it was a done deal, this deal is still fine by me though considering "Barca will pay a €2m loan fee for Boateng to feature for them the remainder of the season". There are not many better options in the market for a centre forward and KPB could indeed play a cover role for suarez at least until the end of the season. I just don't see Barcelona triggering the €8m buy option at the end of the season.

Yes, they have made some strange decisions in terms of transfers. It doesn't help that they have signed some significant flops, the top example being Coutinho. I've just seen today that Barca have signed KPB from Sassuolo, another weird signing!

As fan of Barca I still don't understand why Barca bought him first of all. There are even crazy speculations that he just was bought as revenge to Roma for last year elimination from UCL. Maybe Valverde just don't see him in his schemes. But when Malcom had chances to play, he played decent

I'm yet to understand why he was bought either if he was never a no 9 that was meant to fill in for Suarez, This present Barca administration has been a I'd say nuisance most times when it comes to making transfers. Andre Gomes was bought when Denis Suarez was playing at optimal level and had a very little playing time, Paulinho was bought when he wasn't needed too. I wonder why they'd buy a right winger just after splashing such a huge fee on Dembele who had to switch to the left wing since Messi would mostly occupy the right, meanwhile there's another high signing in Coutinho who's supposed to play on the left wing too.

Anyone knows why the Champions League thread is locked ?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/europa-leaguechampions-league-lounge-1155775
Good question... Probably only mod hilariousandco can asnwer why this thread is locked. Maybe he will unlock it in February few days before round of 16 games.

Most likely exactly why hilarious has locked it. Sig spammers posting nonsense in there to reach their weekly quotas.

Like you say, the last 16 games aren’t until Feb so lots of time for shit to get posted in there.

It looks like Piatek deal from Genoa to Milan will be done in Tuesday
I think Morata is good player and he can bounce back in Atletico
There was similar in a case of Costa
EPL is not for every player now probably how Higuain will perform in Chelsea
Not easy life but he is much more experienced than Morata

Life, Love and Laughter...
Is Atletico still in their cup tourney?  They could use him as a back up and rest Costa for cup games now that it's the crucial part of the CL.  And they're just two points behind Barca at La Liga too.
Atletico were kicked out from cup by Girona last week. Costa is injured now, but until injury he scored only 2 goals this season. So, now they usually they have Correa and Griezmann in atack. They also have Kalinic, but he rarely plays full match. I think that Atleti need to improve their attack, but I'm not sure that Morata is better than Costa or Kalinic.

Ah kk...

And no.  Morata is def not better than Costa (can't speak for Kalinic).  What ever happened to that striker Tottenham acquired 4(?) years ago?  That Dutch guy, Vincent Janssen(?).  I remember him playing kinda like Costa (from what I've seen anyway).

Edit:  Yup, it's Janssen.

Atletico Madrid wants to get rid of a few players apparently. There's rumors that Diego Costa might go to China (naaah). Morata seems to be getting closer.

It is said that Arsenal can only sign players on loan in the current transfer window and have made an offer to sign Gelson Martins on loan from Atletico Madrid, meanwhile talks with Barcelona's Denis Suarez has been stalled due to Barcelona pushing for a permanent move for the midfielder.

Still, Unai Emery is confident in bringing Denis Suarez to London and make him play for Gunners. I think that Arsenal needs some new signings in the defense as the attacking part seems ok to me. They can find better players than Denis Suarez, he is already 25 without an excellent performance in his career so far.

I remember how big desire had Morata to leave Juve and come back to his love Real Madrid...that was his the baddest move of his career.
Well you have to understand that Morata begun his professional career in Real, I think he spent a couple of seasons playing for the youth teams as well. So he would take any chance to play for the club he loves. But I think you are wrong that he wanted to leave Juve. Juve never owned the player. Morata was loaned out to Juventus for two seasons and they had a fixed buy-back option on him which was activated in the 2nd season. He has always said that he was very happy at Juventus but if there is a possibility that he joins the team he loves, he will take it.
I understand that. I saw it in his eyes when he scored a goal against Real a few years ago in the CL 1/2 Finals, there was not much joy there.

There's more talk about Balotelli signing for Marseille.
If he goes there, he'll either be loved or hated. One thing's for sure, the Marseille fans won't tolerate any of his usual shit, especially with the season they're having.

Oumar Niasse has completed a loan move from Everton to Cardiff City until the end of the season, PSG looking to complete a €35 million deal for Paredes from Zenith Saint-Petersburg.

Cardiff City is one of my favorite one and i am looking forward to it with Oumar Niasse  leaving Everton will make it more strong. Everton  has been moderate in their performance overall.

Do you think there is any truth behind the Malcolm to Spurs transfer? He seems to be linked with a lot of teams this window. What's happened to him at Barca? Has he had a poor season and why are they so keen to offload?

He was bought to make profit out of his sale and in case Dembele didn't change his attitude.
He's a good young player who did very well in Bordeaux before joining Barca... but he made the wrong decision, he should have gone to Roma.
