I never expected Bayern to consider Kompany as a new manager for the club and it's not predictable for sure This is going to be insane if this news comes true caused by kompany's team burnley was performing so badly this season. I meant to say that Kompany is now coaching Burnley, who are being relegated back to the Championship Division and this shall be their main consideration befor etry to appoint him. How can a big club like Bayern Munich consider him as a new addition to the team?

This is crazy. It appears that Bayern is simply having difficulty bringing a good coach to the club. I'm aware that Bayern frequently sacks and hires coaches, which are making many coaches got upset with it. It does not even leave room for the new coach to grow the club.

On Kompany as a potential replacement for Tuchel, I think is a big jump for his career, he may as well do very well but the odds of that happening are very low, he's only two years into his managerial career and such a move is too big, hope he doesn't make the mistake Steven Gerard and Frank Lampard made in the early stage of their career. Bayern Munich is in a lot of mess and would need someone with enough experience to make them compete again.

This could be one of the reasons why Bayern failed to attract quality players. Even Tuchel has decided to leave Bayern Munich after the management made a surprising U-turn for him.

Tuchel is getting sacked he's not leaving on his own terms and the reasons they're not attracting good manager is down to their recent mis management and sacking of managers mid season.

TONI KROOS TO RETIRE FROM FOOTBALL AFTER EURO 2024 WITH GERMANY, LIGA CLUB REAL MADRID CONFIRM

Source: https://www.eurosport.com/football/euro/2024/toni-kroos-to-retire-from-football-after-euro-2024-with-germany-liga-club-real-madrid-confirm_sto20006134/story.shtml

Toni Kroos has announced his retirement from football after EURO 2024 competition, his club side Real Madrid confirmed his decision today 21-05-2024.

Toni Kroos who is currently playing for Real Madrid was signed into the club in 2014 at the sum of €25million and ever since then he has remained Madrid's most valuable central midfielder and has shown a lot of commitment to the Madrid team and has won about 22 trophies while playing for the team but the German international footballer is just 34 years so i wonder why he chooses to retire at this time when he still have more years that he can still cope to play perfectly before age comes up with him but however, no matter the reason for his decision, it ought to be respected so i wish him well in other endeavors of life after his retirement.

This news emanated from Florian Plettenberg and I would have doubted it if not for the reputation of Sky reporter and moderator. I have so much respect for Vincent Kompany and he has shown that he is a good coach regardless of the relegation of his club Burnley. But I doubt if he has the quality and experience to coach Bayern Munich. The club and players might be beyond his control since he lacks experience. The Belgian should seek other clubs where he can make a name and gain some respect before moving to an elite side like the Bavarians. For now, former Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi might be a better candidate.

A club that sacked a coach who won the Bundesliga and took them to the UCL semi-finals will not attract quality coaches. It has been reported that five managers have turned down their job offers. The managers include Xabi Alonso, Ralf Rangnick, Julian Nagelsmann, Roger Schmidt and the current manager. The club bosses should learn how to be patient.
Bayern is now in a difficult period, they are considering many candidates, I see names such as Kompany and Falk, but until there is any official announcement, these will just be negotiations between the team and the candidates. So in the end we may see some unexpected result, as happened in Liverpool. So far, of those whom Bayern is considering as candidates, it does not inspire optimism, for now they have time, but soon they will need to prepare the team for the new season, so there is not much time to find a new coach.

At least the victory was an encouraging result as Manchester United's closing match in the Premier League compared to Manchester United having to end the season with a defeat. Indeed the victory did not change anything and Manchester United finished in 8th place and did not take part in the UEFA competition for next season and this is a very result bad for a big club like Manchester United, even though last season they were able to finish in the Champions League zone and get a ticket there but this season he didn't get it again, but Erik Ten Hag is still retained by Manchester United even though if you look at the facts he is not a really suitable coach Manchester United and the club need to make changes not only to players for next season.

Manchester United must make changes to the club. I think keeping Erik Ten Hag is not a good idea. Maybe this coach was quite good in his first season but was unable to continue his good performance in his second season and now Manchester United is experiencing a pretty bad decline and is having difficulty getting Champions League tickets. and this season Manchester United's performance is quite bad in the Champions League so even if Manchester United plays in the Champions League if they are still under Ten Hag, I'm not sure this coach will be able to give their best.
For Manchester United, they finished the season still behind and really it's sad that they didn't have a slot at any continental face off. This season has been their worse, yes at first they seemed better than Chelsea though but currently, they're behind and it's shameful too. The team needs to be worked on. No one can even guess where the fault is though but maybe they just have to try again next season. Hopefully they'll make a difference.

They've had good records from the beginning of their existence till 2seasons ago when they started experiencing gradual decline. Their coach switches has an effect on the team, they found it hard to secure a good coach that complements and will impact the team positively. And this has been on and on till this season when the situation got critical and United is literally nowhere to be found in the top 4 spot and they keep going behind in their struggle each passing week.

So far, United haven't proven to be relevant this season. There's been important games that they themselves have thrown away because of how incompetent they're turned out to be at playing at the peak of their performances. Well, it's only sad that they experience this height of team leakage and breakage too. They just have to find a permanent solution to their issue. I must say that the issue is a general team predicament and they need to be set back to default mode.

I think Liverpool took a risk by bringing Slot. I hope they are aware of this risk. Manchester United has been far from success ever since Ten Hag took over the team. What impact Arne Slot will have on Liverpool is entirely a question mark. Perhaps a more experienced name with trophies in his past would have been preferred instead of Jurgen Klopp. I hope they don't regret this decision.
Whoever comes in the end will certainly have a big risk as well as the Slot because even if they currently bring in another coach like De Zerbi for example, of course the risk will also be very large.

The arrival of a new coach indirectly makes a transition for Liverpool because when they have been long enough (8 seasons) with Klopp's way of coaching then surely it will be very familiar and it will be a problem if there has to be a re-acclimatization with a new coach and way of working because they have to be faced like going back to square one to make a good club.

The puzzle that has been perfected by Klopp must be disassembled in order to adjust to the new coach and that inevitably has to happen. At the moment if in the end we only talk about the worst possibility then everything can still happen but indeed hopefully with a new coach there is a good thing as a hope where Slot can make Liperpool develop in a good direction.

It is a journey that no one knows how it will end, it could be positive or negative, but you can't reject something without opening it to see the package inside. No manager knows it all and it could be that Arne Slot will be the same replica of Jurgen Klopp nobody knows. But I believe that before Liverpool went for him they have accessed his playing pattern and conclude that he is the right man for the job. Ten Hag has been a disaster at Manchester United, that doesn't mean that other Dutch coaches that comes to premier league will flop like him. We all know that Manchester United has been having manager crisis since Ferguson left, so it will be difficult to attribute United failure to Ten Hag alone. United situation is totally different from Liverpool's own, Arne Slot is coming to inherit a team that's full of motivation and they have winning mentalities compared to what Ten Hag inherited when he was appointed Manchester United coach, so I'm confident Arne Slot will succeed in Liverpool.
I doubt with Liverpool manager next season Arne Slot behind he not any special yet come from the mediocre team of Eredivisie and this season not winning the domestic league tittle yet. Its difficult for Liverpool looking for the most experienced manager behind they are top Premier League team? Most of Dutch manager get difficulty adapt in Premier League since Louis van Gaal get failure with Manchester United and last Dutch manager Erik ten Hag can't make The United has top level performed in domestic league or Champion League. Looking the capacity of Arne Slot behind Liverpool performance in pre season and will make Liverpool has better performance in Premier League or more down than Jurgen Klopp era?

Actually its good start for Liverpool appoint new manager after this season ended, Arne Slot has more time prepare the team for next season and get sign new players for several position exactly after leaving by Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip.

I was still wondering why Liverpool hired him as their new coach caused by he was not good enough as a coach considering his history is not even impressive. It appears that he never received anything special during his career as a head coach and this may be wrong for liverpool to appoint him as a new coach. I am confident that Slot will not have a successful season in his first year as coach of the club and he may be leave at the second season of his career as liverpool head coach.
What is your standard for "good enough" though? Winning trophies? Did you consider Klopp a good coach when he managed Dortmund? How can you be so confident to judge he will fail this soon?

I think it is too soon to say anything. You also need to remember that Edward is back, and they will likely discuss some stuff including which players will they need to develop and so on. I remember reading Slott's ability to develop young players and work with a limited budget is OK, so that's probably what they're after. There's no perfect replacement for Klopp. Even if Pep comes in I believe some fans will be dissatisfied anyway. So yeah, if you're a Liverpool fan just save your grumbling and see whether you play good football next season. Having a big dream like winning the quadruple is good, but using that to judge whether you should keep a manager after 1 season is too harsh imo.

I agree on some points, mainly with regards to the fact that it is still too early to say anything. However, fans will always compare the current coach with the past coach. So, adding a completely "unknown" name, compared to Klopp, will generate this type of question, it's totally normal.

The names of those who have won trophies are also not a guarantee that they will be able to give Liverpool a trophy.
Jurgen Klopp also needed several seasons to be able to bring Liverpool to win prestigious trophies such as the English Premier League and Champions League.
You see Jose Mourinho can also be said to have failed at Manchester United as well as at AS Roma, the title he gave Roma was the conference league but still in locally this team is struggling to become a competitive team.
Did anyone expect Xabi Alonso to do fantastic things at Bayer Leverkusen? If there is, there will be more people who doubt it, so experience and a big name are not guaranteed.
Arne Slot may not provide a trophy in his first season, but Liverpool has to make a decision, and the transition period is always not easy, it takes time and patience is the key.

Official now!

Romano has announced arne slot's appointment as the club's new coach for liverpool. He will be a three-year appointment for Liverpool and it's quite long for me. i would prefer for liverpool to sign short term contract with him. expect less if the club has a disastrous first season under him. It only takes days before Arne Slot becomes Liverpool's head coach and there may be a lot of changes to happen with liverpool soon. Liverpool moved quickly in preparation for the upcoming summer transfer season.

He may need to make some adjustments to the club like bringing some new players to replace the existing players. I don't even see this as good news, but it appears that he may be unable to deliver what we expect of him. Liverpool is back in the transition phase under a new coach.

Judging by the way Liverpool were patient with Klopp during not very successful seasons, it can be assumed that they signed such a long contract for a reason. Slot will have time to make his own adjustments to the team and try to prove that he can manage such a big team. In fact, I have never heard anything about this coach before, so it’s hard for me to even imagine what he might be capable of, the larger the team, the greater the opportunities, but at the same time, the greater responsibility that not everyone is able to cope with.

But there is no great joy from this victory, because Newcastle and Chelsea also won their matches and all the teams remained in their previous places. 8th place for Manchester United is too bad a result, compared to last year they remain without the Champions League, this is of course a step back, but despite this ten Hag remains in the team and say that Manchester United is currently in a better position than in the past year.
It’s really a step backwards for Manchester United and for Chelsea they have really improved their game and the result at the end of the season is really impressive, no one expected them to end at 6th place and secure a spot in European competition. I feel Chelsea will qualify for the Europa because i don’t see Manchester United winning Manchester City in the FA Cup.

Manchester United needs to improve their team before next season starts because this squad cannot compete in the league especially with such weak defense. They need to rebuild the team even though Ten Hag will stay a little longer.
Ten Hag should not remain. It's clearly damaging to Manchester United. This year he failed in every field. Both Manchester United's player rotation and player quality remained very poor. They fell behind in the Premier League pace and were eliminated in the UCL. I don't understand how Manchester United still tolerate such unsuccessful situations. They do not have enough basic squad to aim for the championship next year in the Premier League. I think they will miss this a lot in the future.
It’s very obvious he doesn’t know how to manage players because no player has been outstanding in the team since he too charge and they have spent more money in buying players than most of the team in the league. They signed Antony, Sancho, Hojlund and some few players were added as well but non of them seem to be useful for them, Ronaldo also joined and he couldn’t manage him properly and even treated him badly saying he is the problem. Ten Hag really failed in every field and the best thing for Manchester United in my opinion is to look for other alternatives to replace Ten Hag because clearly he has failed as a manager.

I feel Chelsea will qualify for the Europa because i don’t see Manchester United winning Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Yea, Chelsea will be in the Europa. Man City is winning tha final. Chelsea tried to turn their season around, but it was already too late as their inconsistency was a problem to them.
It favours Newcastle too if Manchester City beats Manchester United in the FA cup final because they'll be able to qualify for the conference league in second place, but if Manchester United wins, they won't qualify.
We are not certain yet so don’t be too confident, It is a final and anything can happen. Manchester United can be full of surprises sometimes just as they did with Liverpool that ended their title hopes. Both Chelsea and Newcastle now hope for united to lose sos let’s just hope they lose but it’s not certain yet.

Like I've always said, Manchester United have so much work to do. Their team is not a good team and they need to make some very big decisions. They need to stop buying players that a hyped by the media. They need to go for solid players that are good on paper and on the pitch. A team like Manchester United need great players. They should take their time and rebuild. The whole team doesn't needs to be strengthened in on transfer window, but they can take time to build a solid team, just as Manchester City did.
The problem is Manchester United want to strengthen their team in one season, same mistakes Chelsea made. Players should be integrated into a team at different times. If very well managed, you can have a world class team over a  period of 2 to 3 seasons.

The Magpies fought really hard on last matchday and they earned themselves good points on the EPL table. They automatically qualify for the Europa League and this is good news for them, atleast they didn't settle for lesser positions like other random average clubs. English Premier League this season is tougher than expected, this really interesting to make comments about. Arsenal and Manchester City had a long competitive run for the title. The last matchday was filled with suspense because Arsenal and Manchester City points gap was slim.
At the end of the season, the City that made the fewest mistakes became champions. One of the things I like about Guardiola is that he has an impact on the team that will prevent them from falling out of games lately. We do not see in City the declines experienced in other teams towards the end of the season in previous years. They continue their game consistently and that's why they have reached this stage successfully. Manchester City was also unluckily eliminated from the UCL this year. If they could eliminate Real, they would probably be in the final and win the cup.

The decision to scouting the new players will be on the next head coach. klopp has also ordered liverpool fans to chants arne slot during his farewell speech. I can't fully trust arne slot because he is not having a good history in the managing the club.
Liverpool is probably gambling by signing arne slot from feyenoord. Im doubting liverpool's capability to compete in the upcoming season. I totally aware about who arne slot is.

Never put a big hope to him. You will be disappointed then.
TBH, actually I also don't agree if Liverpool brought in Arne Slot as the new coach to replace Klopp and according to the history of Arne Slot journey, he has not been able to give confidence to Liverpool fans who already know that Arne Slot experience is not enough to be able to help Liverpool to reach their level again. higher in the following season.
however, we have to be aware and understand that Liverpool is one of the popular EPL teams that has a very good reputation and it certainly won't be possible to bring in a coach quickly without considering the future of the team and from my way of thinking, Arne Slot is believed to be able to bring change to Liverpool in the future, Liverpool will certainly be ready to accept all the risks that will occur and have various alternatives to fix everything if something bad happens.

no one will have hope for the new coaching candidate, but most of them choose to wait for Liverpool decision and if they force Arne Slot to be brought in, we must give him the opportunity to make a change or at least half the season Liverpool must provide consistent performances.
as fans of the EPL team we have to be more patient and wait for the information that Liverpool will say later and we also have to be more patient to see what will happen and from what I think it looks like Liverpool will not really bring in Arne Slot.

I also cannot say that I can trust the new coach that Liverpool is bringing in 100%. Because I have not seen him enough to say how he is going to do. It is great to see that almost every personnel of the Liverpool club is actually trying to encourage people to encourage the coach and make him feel at home. But if he is unable to bring in good results I do not think people are actually going to care about what other people say. Eventually, there will be a lot of tension between the coach and also players as well as the fans. But that doesn’t mean whatever they are doing is actually wrong. I believe this is the right approach to actually welcome the new coach.

However, I believe he will have to bring in good results from the very start. Another important thing is that he will have to consistently bring in good results. Otherwise, people are definitely going to question this decision made by Liverpool.

I have a good feeling that this Liverpool new coach will deliver and perform well in Anfield. The fans already love him and with the way Klopp sang his name yesterday, I think the man already has the floor and he has no excuse. Jurgen Klopp made sure that he has to win the heart of the fans to the side of the new manager. If you read through Arne slot history, you will understand that the man has eyes for winning trophies.  The management of Liverpool are going to give him money to back him on the transfer market so he can get his quality players that will deliver his tactics.

I really do commend the work the Liverpool scouting team are doing actually, if you pay close attention to the past incoming transfer of players and manager alike that has came into the club, they may or  might not be the popular choice everyone expected, but it has been working out for them no doubt, and I really do believe that Arne slot will do definitely do fine as the manager of Liverpool football club.

And another thing that i think that would be logical, that the management is going to do, would be supporting him in this coming summer transfer window, because I believe that their are some position that Liverpool are really lacking behind in terms of quality and back up, so supporting him to improve the team is the ideal thing the board needs to do, if they want them to be as competitive as they were when klopp was the manager of the club.

So far we have only heard some news from the media that Ten Hag was one of the candidates to be fired but yeah there's no official statement from Manchester United so the percentage is 50:50 the situation could change if Manchester United win the FA Cup next week but if Manchester United were defeated it might be bad news. By the way, based on contract next year will be Ten Hag last season with Manchester United so will they wait until the contract ends or end it early? we know there are consequences for ending a contract early, unless both parties agree.

Chelsea and Manchester United this season have played with unsatisfactory performance, but this is not a setback for these two teams, how do we know Chelsea just changed their squad last season and started the season very badly and have now managed to lock up tickets to the competition? Europe, this is a comeback for Chelsea.

Likewise with Man United this season which could only finish in 8th place, here we cannot blame the coach, because they lost a lot of players this season due to injuries, this made Ten Hag unable to give his best in implementing his game, indeed there were several lines that Man United must bring in to be able to carry out the coach's wishes so that next season runs smoothly.
Manchester United vs Man City in the FA Cup Final, here Man United has the opportunity to give a trophy to its fans this season, it is not impossible to beat Man City, especially since this is the final, everything is still open for two teams to win the FA Cup.

I never cease to be amazed by his positive thinking, and thus gets another chance to stay in the team and try to change something next season.

Manchester United having a rest from playing in any European competition should give them more minutes to rest and build a strong team that can compete with other top teams to challenge Manchester city for the title because they are still the favourite to win it again next season. Manchester United have to be very active in the transfer market to achieve this because they need a proven striker that can convert the chances being created. Manchester United also need to let go of many players and exchange them for those that will be willing to play with the vision of the coach. The problem at the club is not caused by the coach but by the players. Manchester United have alot of entitled players that are only at the club because they are English players, they are feeling too big to play for the success of the club.
