@JollyGood the key news are that Halland just can’t stop scoring, and as and when he transfers to another club he’ll easily be sold for $300 million or more. Furthermore Barcelona were robbed of a victory due to some real poor referee’s decision, and it also looks likes that Chelsea may just qualify for the next round of Champions League provided they continue to win.

The way the new Chelsea owners ruthlessly sacked Tuchel was way too harsh because he deserved time. He was playing with a whole new defence and it takes time to get them all to gel together.

Klopp is in a different situation altogether, he has most of his players and has purchased very good talented players but Liverpool no longer have Mane doing all the hard work for the team and that is why they have struggled. Klopp is in a much stronger position that Tuchel ever was but in the Premier League anything is possible. If Liverpool do not win a trophy this season and if they do proceed in the Champions League and do not qualify for it next season, will he remain manager? I think not.

The problem all suitors for Pochettino will face is that he came so close to winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Tottenham but remains without a trophy therefore what will fans and owners expect from him?

@JollyGood as a Manchester United fan I would be delighted if Klopp is no longer managing Liverpool, but as a football lover I would be angry at Liverpool owner’s for sacking one of the best managers of modern football. Furthermore if they end up sacking him, then I feel that they’ll go for Poch because he’s out of work and has premier league experience.

Chelsea lost this evening, their season is already in trouble. They have played six Premier League games of which they lost two and won three and now they lost their opening Champions League group game too. Haaland scored twice while helping Manchester City win 0-4.

Holders Real Madrid won 0-3 and made an excellent start to their campaign a the expense of Celtic.

It could be said that Dinamo has become an expert on clubs from London, because in the last few years Dinamo has beaten all 4 clubs from London, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham and now Chelsea.
It is clear that this can't be a coincidence and that Dinamo is not a bad club, it seems to me that according to the UEFA ranking they are among the 30 best clubs in Europe and therefore this result is not a surprise.
I watched the game and although Chelsea had possession of the ball and constantly attacked, they did not have a clear game plan and sufficient aggressiveness for a better result.

I didn't even look at the stats or the head to head stuff. I just bet cos I already knew Liverpool was my going to be my pick as long as they weren't going against City. . Real Madrid were really cooked and I almost turned off the TV, hoping Hazard would play a small part of the game to inject some creativity was the only reason I kept watching, but he was never brought on; after the goal, they were more focused on defense, so I understand why he was left out.

It is difficult to feel sorry for Liverpool for the way they lost the final when they had a much easier route to the final including an easy semi-final with Valencia. Real Madrid had to defeat PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City.

In general, if we judge the tournament after we know the results, then of course there is nothing shocking. Real Madrid once again showed their iron will and the fact that the Champions League is a tournament where they feel like a fish in water. But if you watch the tournament game after game, it's hard not to be shocked by the fact that in every round of the playoffs, Real was an underdog (and sometimes explicit) but eventually beat everyone.
By the way, it's hard to sympathize with Liverpool as they exhausted all their luck in two finals where they won on penalties.

In the end, Liverpool dominated the game and created more chances and had more shots on target but it all means nothing because they finished as runners-up.

Real madrid experience is no joke, they won the cup with this experience, I'm still confused about it, but this experience is completely real. Liverpool wasn't too bad in the match, they actually came very close to the goal, but they could not score a goal. Real-Madrid won the match with their tactical game. Liverpool should have done much better with this squad.
