Nobody can tell because nothing last forever. And all things are temporary. Maybe in the next 10 years bitcoin will be gone or maybe it will be replaced by a newer version . But no one can really tell whats going to happen for bitcoin in the future.

I will not tell you for how long bitcoin will be exist as cryptocurrency leader because i dont know when.
Nobody knows for sure when bitcoin will be exist because it remains strong to beat the other crypto.

I believe you asked a very good question here, and in the right time. Years ago on same question I would answer like many other did in this thread, bitcoin will stay leader in crypto for many more years. Now I ask myself the same question, 2017 woke up many giants, sleepy giants. What will happen this year is hard to say, and for next year almost impossible. How many alts now have price over 1000 dollars, how much is the cost to send bitcoins and how much it cost to send some other alt? Do you know how fast are the transactions? This things bother each of us who use bitcoins everyday. The fact is that new technologies and new coins are coming, can some of them be better then bitcoin, it can if bitcoin don't solve some burning problems, and that has to be done fast.

Forever! Just kidding. We will never know Every movement of the alts. As of now many alts is doing a great job in the market and they are soaring high. While bitcoin is in the moment of Most of the time plunging down. I am hoping that bitcoin still be on the top for more time or years because it is widely known. Lets just wait and see the possible outcome.

To me no coins will dethrone it even if it does happen, not in less than 5 decades from now. Bitcoin was where it all started, no crypto would be evwr created if not because of satoshi and its bitcoin not bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, not even bitcoin shit.

Ethereum is also important ans it will keep growing steadily, but it wont reach bitcoin level because of its supply which is a lot more than bitcoin

for me I think bitcoin will always be the first and leading crypto currency as far as digital currency is concern because it's the first one to be created, know and used other than the other coin out there despite its high and low condition in the market people and investor still patronize bitcoin more than the other and bitcoin can never be replace by other bitcoin because it's the first and leading crypto currency around the world

BTCitcoin is the start, the pioneer, the father coin or the mother coin, and the first made of all cryptocurrencies, which made it on the top of the market. I think no other cryptocurrencies can surpass what BTCitcoin reached already. If there is, then I can say that BTCitcoin will be out already or already gone. There are lots of crypto currencies that I think following the steps of BTCitcoin that increase its price much, like Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, Monero and a lot more. But I think it will still follow and BTCitcoin will always lead forward. BTCitcoin will remain the leader of all crypto currencies forever.

Yes, bitcoin will remain as a leader in crypto since it was very developed and it serves as a mother of other coins here. Because of its characteristic and usage makes it as a leader that other altcoins doesnt have. It will be replaced when something happen wrong to bitcoin and if it wont be solved. Also if there an altcoin that will boosts or maybe better than bitcoin. But for me its impossible to happen.

The people that invest in bitcoin makes it alive until now. So it is safe yo say that for as long as there are still investors that are still patriotic enough to invest in bitcoin, this will remain for a long time and would still be the leader on cryptocurrency.

As long the traders patronize btc it will remain its status as a leader of cryptocurrency.
But btc will do something to listen its fee otherwise traders/investors will find a new coins/tokens that will indanger the btc.

Seeing from the highest price alone BTC is the most prominent of all cryto and also see in terms of sequence of all crypto BTC is at the top, so look at in terms of any BTC is the most dominant that is often pursued many people. Maybe that's what I know.

Theres a lot of prediction in the internet if bitcoin will still be the no. Cryptocurrency in the future I think theres a possibility it can surpass by another good altcoin in the future but who knows what will happen in the future since bitcoin transaction fee are too high and theres a lot of unconfirmed transaction right now that the main problem that bitcoin we need to fix.
No matter what hapen in the future I will continue to amaze in bitcoin potential.
