In order not to get into such situations, beginners need to carefully study the information available on each of their questions. Fortunately, the forum even has a special section where you can start getting acquainted with cryptocurrencies.
This forum should have been made better for newbies who want to learn more about what crypto or other virtual currencies can generate a little profit for all of them.
So what's the problem? In your hands/opportunities to make additional guides for new members of the forum. Although there is enough information to make the first steps in the crypto world. Well, to use the available training materials or not depends only on them.

They should search the coin name on CMC and find all the available wallet for that coin there. I think its the safest. There is some popular fake wallet. The most concerning example was that of an app called “Trezor Mobile Wallet.” Everyone should do this for avoiding fake apps. Check the Description, Check the Developer, Check the Reviews, Check the Downloads. Official apps have been downloaded thousands—and in some cases, millions—of times. Fake apps will have considerably lower download numbers.

There might be some platforms which might replace the original application with a scam one by loading it with some malware so it might not be trustworthy to directly download the apk or any suitable application from the web directly but instead play store or app store verifies the application for us which makes the application trustworthy.

You can always check for the number of downloads, reviews, screenshots, etc to make sure that is the same application you wish to download. A number of advanced malware have been running into the markets which could steal your private information and make it publicly available. Hence you should try to avoid installing any unknown applications onto your device.

That's true, wherever you go there's always a scammer/hacker that would attack anyone so to be safe it's better that you should download or click the link from the official website of the wallet also you should also check the developer of the wallet itself.

Before you download or do anything make sure to double check and always doubt in this way you'll be able to be safe from them.

Besides that, be careful if you get some information from the website that you don't know if the information is right or not, and you should search from the other sites. And for downloading the recommended wallet for your mobile phone, I guess you can search and read from this forum because you can find so many useful information that you can use to decide. Many good threads are discussing here the wallet for mobile phones, so I am sure that you can find the wallet that will match with your want.

I'm sure that those who are into crypto since last year knew that downloading new mobile wallet from play store can be dangerous, well this is for newbies who just entered crypto space this year, most top popular mobile wallets have fakes built by scammers too, before you download any wallet find its website and download through the link instead
This is very good information and will definitely be very useful for those who are trying or are already using it. but to be honest, I haven't even used an application in my cellphone wallet, so I can't give advice or information about what happened. but if it is very dangerous there must be a solution that must be done so as not to drag on, as you say in order to download the website might be the best solution. but once again further information from other colleagues who have used it is also needed.

You can go through official websites to download any wallet you want, its not a must to download from playstore and even if you go through any wallet website you will still be get the option to download through playstore or direct link
A very appropriate suggestion, because usually on the wallet website always provides different links for all devices, be it for Apple, Windows and Android devices, that's where we can choose according to the device we use.
There might even be platforms who have not yet launched their applications onto various app stores and in this situation we have to download the application from the official website itself. Usually downloading applications from direct official website can save our time as there are a number of plagiarized or similar applications been found on the internet so it is necessary for us that we select the correct one.

Mobile applications can access various functions like your location, your contacts, your email details, can send messages on your behalf, etc which might seem riskier at some cases but mostly we need to allow permissions for the same so there is not much problem usually if we never permit suspicious applications to access our private information.

Very true. Another way newbies can be scammed. There is a need to always verify apps. Even if the logo looks genuine. Virtually every app on stores have fake duplicates. For safety purposes, verify wallet app or other apps (even if it is not related to crypto) before downloading.
In a way, I have fallen for this kind of situation before. But it was not crypto-related. Stay sharp!

Getting a mobile crypto wallet could really be dangerous as most of it are run to scam newbies who have no enough knowledge. My recommendation for newbies is that if they are going to download mobile wallets in Google playstore, you should know first the top ranked wallets because they genuinely legitimate for storing your coins just for an example the Blockchain, Coinbase, etc. Or you could've just download on their website just to be sure.

I don't really search for mobile crypto wallets nor download many due to how unsecured mobile apps are currently. Some would even put ads in their apps and that just grinds my gears a lot .
I only use only one crypto online wallet, for the purpose of cashing it out plus reloading my sim credits.
I don't use it that much for the sake of hodling though.

Its not just "new mobile wallets" that can be risky. Anyone downloading a new random wallet on a computer on a phone bears the risk of getting hacked. There are tons of such wallets out there that comes with a backdoor that can steal coins from the wallet and also private keys of all other wallets that you have on your computer. That is why it is really important to choose your wallet carefully. It is best to use an updated wallet provided officially by the developers of that coin. Or look for a wallet that is open source.

Can you please at least site some of those apps so that it will be more substantial, like what app is that and how they turn out to be a scam. Im sure this will really be a great help, not only for newbies.
It's hard to find legit websites anymore because there are many scams and a lot of scams that are under the guise of cryptocurrency, so you should be careful when investing or using dangerous applications because you can hack into the device you are using.

Not all wallets that on the playstore is dangerous. There are trusted apps like coinomi, trust wallet, imToken, atomic wallet and many more. Im using imToken for more than 2years and so far didnt have any problem with it. Also never got compromised my tokens that are there. Maybe much better to check whether the app youre downloading is really the app that you are looking for sometime they have been imitate by aome scammers which is the one that really scammed newbies.

I would also suggest they search on coinmarketcap for the cryptocoins they wish to download. It's much safer to get their wallets and websites this way.
Not really a good idea to get them through google, twitter, telegram search due to the numerous fakes that exist.
Going to their official website is the best way for a newbie not to be scammed.
No website = possible scam. Wait for them to make a website. I don't trust google too because there are times where if you search for information regarding a coin, you may click to a website which is considered a scam site. Also on telegram that is why i don't want to use it anymore. There are many scammers out there and newbies are very vulnerable to this.

Best advice for a newbie? Don't throw your money first without doing research.

I agree with this, one time when I was using telegram, I saw some offers that will let you download a certain BTC wallet and they will pay you for that. even though I was new in the Crypto Industry, I didn't take the bait because the payment is too low in the first place. later on, I found out, that those kinds of scam is known and wanted to get your funds when you deposit your BTC.
