I finally heard back from support on my withdraw that wasn’t me.  The email said:

“Max here.

I would like to inform you that due to lack of response within the set time period our security team has moved to authorization step 2 and further investigated the details of said withdrawal based on which - has confirmed that the IP from which withdrawal was initiated has been detected multiple times previously starting from initial registration of your account.“

———
Which sounds off to me but may be true.  I asked for the time limit between sending and mail to the account holder and processing without a reply is.   I doubt the IP really did match because it was more than four years ago when I signed up and everything from the city I live in to my ISP, cell provider, job, wife, etc has changed.  I asked him to send me the IP I signed up from/also used to withdraw and I would see if it was the IP I had on the 9th of January.

Hey David,

I think I just found a little mistake on review of Fortunejack at latestcasinobonuses.com. I do not know who wrote the review, but it is written that the minimum deposit and withdrawal is 0.01btc while in fact it has been reduced to 0.002btc some time ago.
Maybe you can ask the reviewer to revise it, just a little afraid that people will a bit worry to visit and try Fortunejack because of this little mistake.

Hi Bitinity,

Thanks a lot for mentioning this, will take a view and solve the problem.

Cheers.

It was entirely my fault for not checking, a mistake I won't make again. I'm having a bit of an issue with my most recent  withdrawal though, it has been pending for the past 6 hours or so and doesn't even appear as unconfirmed to the address I withdrew to. The amount is not too significant either, so I'm not sure what the hold up is? I withdrew a similar amount of LTC a few days ago with no delay. How long should I expect to wait?
Usually it is if not instant then within, I don't know, half an hour or hour.
Have you checked email? Sometimes they send email and you need to respond to it(security check - different IP, address). Anyway, contact live support.

You should chat with a live support/agent, they'll be able to help /answer regarding withdrawal problem that you have. anyways i just withdrew BTC from FJ account, within a minute it arrived in my wallet.  Cheesy

Just a friendly reminder guys: if you're messing around with FJC, you'll be back to your default currency when you log back in. Just managed to lose .01 (out of my .0101 BTC bankroll) in 1 roll because I was testing strats with FJC and forgot I was no longer on FJC when I logged in again. Don't be me!

Very rare to use the FJC but as per my own experience it does not back to my default balance (btc). I'm very often to use doge, it does not change back to btc unless I change it under the balance menu. Of course I do not know if its get back to default if you were using FJC. Sorry for your lost btw, and double check everything before playing next time.
I can confirm that going back to your default currency is happening and even if you tried going to other pages on the site and returning back to the dice game it will still trigger it and revert you back to your default currency. Either way as a gambler we must provide extra caution as it is our money having one or two glances with what money your betting at is a good way to avoid a wrong bet. If you are not good with observing try maybe setting FJC as your default currency, it may help you prevent this kind of situation again.

I don’t think my email has been hacked because I use a password that isn’t on any other site and the recovery details are fake answers.   I’m always afraid to reuse passwords because I figure some bitcointalk user could setup a fake site and just log all the users and passwords to retry at every other gambling site.   I have been guilty of reusing passwords on some sites though.

FortuneJack has always been good to me. I won a dice jackpot once and won a huge amount on the old card game they used to have and they paid it out.  My account is platinum III so I was bummed when they changed the cash back thing.
What I meant is turn on 2FA at fortunejack and change email and password...
Yeah I can see a new email listed on my account now but I can’t figure out how they changed it.  I can’t seem to edit it from safari on my phone at least.
The only way to change email is to send email to support from email you signed up and ask them to change it, there is no other way.
So you were either fished or got keylogger.

I only access the site from my phone (iPhone 8 plus purchased new in December) and I am going to check the login history for my email account to check for unfamiliar ips or unusual countries.  Thing is, if they have access to my email they could have confirmed it and the withdraw would have processed without any other effort. Instead they changed the email address and then re-requested a withdraw.   Why would they do that when it would have been faster and easier to just click “I approve this withdraw” on my email account?

Also, looking at my messages, the email update message shows two days after the withdraw in my transaction history.  It doesn’t make sense that the email arrived after the withdraw occurred.  It’s like my logging in triggered the email to be sent but why wasn’t it sent when the person made the withdraw two days prior?  It makes me feel like the person that did it has more access han a regular user.  It’s just weird to me.

Here is the messages screenshot.

I’m not really worried about the funds as much as I am interested in what happened and how it was done.  Who is moderator and how are they different from support?

The email that is now on my account isn’t a real email account.   I tried to log into it and it doesn’t exist according to the mail provider.   No activity on my email account from any location I don’t use myself.   I emailed support and used live chat and have heard nothing so far.

Has your email been hacked?

Turn on 2FA ASAP, change email and password, in case you are using the same password on other sites don't do that, don't use the same passwords.

Your so careful in using a different password but why you didn't enable 2fa function to your account?

Those hackers somehow got your both email id and your FJ log in details to cash out your money but if you enable any one of these accounts 2fa function then it wouldn't have happened. Any site before depositing money try to enable your 2fa to avoid these kinds of issues.

I actually did have 2fa enabled for a few years but it annoyed me on mobile so I disabled it.  The thing is that they don’t have access to my email.  Somehow they tried to withdraw, couldn’t and then got the email changed (which I am unable to do myself).     I agree with you that 2fa works best but I don’t really deposit much at fj any longer and the funds were lossback credits that they multiplied fast and withdrew.  Your advise is good and valid for sure.

Somehow someone got into my FortuneJack account two days prior to my last login and took my loss back on dice and then cashed out .003btc.   They were able to change my email address and I can’t even do that when I go to my preferences.   The message showing my email had changed was in my inbox on FortuneJack and it was sent to me when’s i logged in.

I found this email in my junk folder unread: “Greetings, dear user.

We are contacting you regarding your latest withdrawal.
It was delayed by our system for security reasons as your account credentials (Withdrawal IP or Wallet Number) are different from your usual credentials.

Please confirm that you were the person who made a withdrawal and your transaction will be processed right away !”

So I don’t know how they were able to convince someone to let them withdraw and change the email all at the same time.   I asked live chat and they didn’t reply at all even after sending screenshots of the emails, etc.

Look how fast they turned a profit and withdrew.

It looks like they have a ton of funds collected but I may be reading it wrong.  They had to use a low fee so the TX is still pending from the ninth when the did it.    Don’t suppose any admin at FortuneJack could double spend it with a good TX fee to get the funds back to me?

They sent it to 1QHZjQHjVS4kbrQQLyswfzzsautWcHQtrh
Before sending it in a giant 15btc tx

From your story, seems like your account was unsecured because someone was able to log it in and withdraw the money left in your account. Though it was small, which actually is a good thing, I am not sure how they indeed got it out without a reply from your email.

I had the same issue when I withdraw sometimes, my withdrawal was not processed automatically and they needed to email me. I asked the live support and they said they sent an email, that was the only time I opened the email. I told the live support that I saw the email already and please process the withdrawal. They said I really need to reply via email for security purposes. So I did, and it was processed immediately. So probably you will have to ask for support here, for sure FJ will contact you immediately as they take these problems really seriously.

About the 15 BTC which consolidated the money including yours, for sure this is an exchange address or online wallet which consolidates the btc they collect. I don't think the hacker was able to collect 15 BTC worth of scammed funds. But maybe, not really sure.

But rest assured that FJ will do an investigation on the matter.

I agree but I would like some minor upgrades to the site's chatting system like if you are active in the chatting community a random reward will be given to you, if dine properly many people will use the chatting system asany people will use it too. But the problem here is it will be flooded by people who's only aim to is to collect free prizes from the chat box. Rewarding people who are making sense is the way to go.

Dont think that this is a good idea as more people will just come to the site chat and hope they win some money. I dont think the main purpose of casino is to attract people to chat as they need players. This also could be abused so there is no point with this actually. Im saying that the current chat is good enough and especially David announced or atleast give hint something great is coming already ( like forum )

That would lead to just players aiming for the bonuses from the chat system like in most other gambling sites that has a chat system and rainbot. They talk non-sense the whole day and not really gambling anything that was not from the rain bot or whatever free stuff they get from the site. It's just like having beggars on your streets asking for money the whole day every day. I have nothing against people trying a faucet to actually try a gambling game, but if that is the trend, where people just keep on trying to abuse the promotions, then I don't think it's a good idea.

Well, since indeed David gave some hints about something new coming out then we'll sure see what its about and maybe they have something really better than a chat system or a forum. Maybe something really revolutionary.
