Well, I saw this at the time it launched. Got the email showing it.

The simplest way to exploit it is,

Step 1:pick a coin with low market volume of which price can be easily pushed up or down. Like clam a few weeks ago.

Step 2 : (not necessary) Buy the altcoin at the usual exchange at the usual price. Generally, you will only be able to buy certain amount will it.

Step 3: Buy the altcoin from FJ exchange. With most of the bitcoins you intend to use it for buying it. but not all.

Step 4: Use the remaining Bitcoin to push up the price at major exchange.

Step 5: Sell all the altcoins, at FJ at higher price.

Don't know if this works. Haven't tried. There is generally a price difference between the buy and sell price at FJ.

The limits are as follows:

Min amount: 0.001 BTC OR equivalent in other cryptocurrencies
Max amount: 0.3 BTC OR equivalent in other cryptocurrencies

It would be useful if the form I was using knew that, and would somehow show me rather than giving me the impression I could use your site to exchange significant amounts of currency. I wouldn't have found out that you don't even support exchanging a single BTC for CLAM until I had deposited my BTC and tried to exchange it.

This are the limits for one transaction, you can do as many transaction as you wish.

Then the problem still seems to be there. You won't let me exchange 5000 BTC, but you'll let me exchange 0.3 BTC 20000 times? What's the difference? At some point you need to take your market depth into account. Why not just present your market data to the user and let them buy as much as they like?

Therefore if you actually clicked TRADE NOW! button the transaction that you mentioned would not go through and you would see an error message.

The error message I see is that I don't have enough funds. I need to make a deposit to see the message about the limit - but until I do, I don't know the limit, so I don't know how much to deposit. Easily fixed though - just make a note that you only allow exchanges up to 0.3 BTC.

could you please show us any exchange where you insert your buy amount and "slippage", market depth and other factors are considered in the price that it shows?

I'm used to exchanges looking like this, so you can pick your price according to the depth you want:

Click on the price you want, and the price, volume, etc. is filled in for you.

Finally, please note that FJ Exchange is not a product which tries to compete with major exchange websites. The aim is to offer more comfort to our users who wish to exchange coins in a fast an easy way.

Fair enough. I guess I was looking at it wrong. If I look at it as "not finished, and not intended to compete" then my criticisms are moot.

So fortunejack also has a cryptocurrency exhange feature? Is this new?

Yup. It's relatively new, they've added it around 2 weeks ago.

I don't find the cryptocurrency instant exchange on FJ.

If you make a trade for 0.3 BTC to buy some altcoins then an other trade, the second trade will usually be for a higher price.

Wow,

I do believe doogs can buy that much if he had to lol! Users like me wouldn't even have tried that!
There is something wrong with that exchange and FJ needs to look into it on priority.

Of late, it seems the customer care aspect has not been that great. Not sure why that is though! I have always had good customer service from them but my last issue of not being paid my referrals took some time to sort out. I would have expected to have such a small issue resolved in a matter of hours!
Also, there have been people complaining in chat that their WDs were going on hold. The other day MattyD was on chat and he had a 1 BTC WD pending, this shouldn't be the case as FJ said earlier that they have increased the limit to 5 BTC for manual WD.

Guys at FJ, time to pull up your socks. Accepting clam has also exposed you to some great folks and whales who can give you tremendous business, this is not the time to drop the ball on customer service! Grin

No dooglus could not buy any amount exceeding 0.3 BTC or equivalent in other currencies even if he tried, he would see an error message, like this:

So there is nothing wrong with Instant Exchange, at least not the issue that dooglus reports.

Regarding customer care aspect. We are sorry to hear that you have some concerns regarding customer care.  It was FortuneJack's good will to pay out several users remaining referral reward after the program was closed and Affiliate program started.  Referral payment was the issue which concerned only several users and it was handled manually. You case was handled within 12 hours, which is a standard time-frame for such issues. You did not express any concerns when your case was closed so I apologize for any inconvenience caused now Smiley

We are always listening to our customer suggestions and concerns and we will take your remarks into consideration.

I actually raised the issue in chat several times and remember another user Williamho also raising the same issue multiple times in chat. I remember that admin used to answer my queries in chat and also fix issues for me without the need to raise a support ticket. The time it took to resolve the issue was 12 hrs maybe, but i had raised the same issue in chat at least 3-4 times. You set the bar too high for me i guess, which is why i expected support to solve my issues without even raising a support ticket. Smiley

One more thing, has the limit for auto-WD been raised to 5 BTC? The other day MattyD was unable to WD 1 BTC automatically. Even user Drogan before him had the same issue IIRC!  Grin

There are no issues with our exchange, it is working without any delays.

I looked at your exchange a couple of days ago, but couldn't figure it out. I couldn't see it mentioned anywhere how many of each currency were available at each price.

Are you sure there are no issues with it? The exchange quoted me a price for a million CLAM, but that many don't even exist.

Usually the more you buy, the higher the price goes, due to 'slippage', market depth, etc. but from what I could see none of that exists on your 'exchange'. Could you explain how that's possible please?

Here's a screenshot of the offer it made me:

The limits are as follows:

Min amount: 0.001 BTC OR equivalent in other cryptocurrencies
Max amount: 0.3 BTC OR equivalent in other cryptocurrencies

This are the limits for one transaction, you can do as many transaction as you wish.

Therefore if you actually clicked TRADE NOW! button the transaction that you mentioned would not go through and you would see an error message. So, no there are no issues with our exchange. Just inserting sell amount shows you possible amount you could get, it DOES NOT mean that you can exchange those amounts.

Since we launched our Instant Exchange recently, text describing limits and other details about our exchange is not added yet. We agree that our users should be informed what the limits are (many asked on support email and got the answer) but it has no connection with exchange functionality because you can not exchange more than 0.3 BTC and you will see an error message if you try.

Regarding your second point, taking into consideration our limits your concern is irrelevant. Plus, even though it is not the subject of this discussion, could you please show us any exchange where you insert your buy amount and "slippage", market depth and other factors are considered in the price that it shows? If I understand correctly you expect to get different price when inserting different Sell amounts but you should also note that inserting sell amounts is not a transaction therefore price change could not possibly be reflected. On the other hand, if you ask what happens if someone on the general market buys big amounts of specific coin, then our answer is that coin price will be updated (Price will increase) in the same time and amount as at major cryptocurrency exchanges and therefore market in general.

Finally, please note that FJ Exchange is not a product which tries to compete with major exchange websites. The aim is to offer more comfort to our users who wish to exchange coins in a fast an easy way.

so for what you know FortuneJack dice is provably fair?

Yes. I only played dice, and only checked about 20 rolls, but from what I saw it is provably fair.

Being a player there and also a signature "wearer" I'm really glad to read it from you   Smiley
