well, it seems like France will also launch their own cryptocurrency next year. it's funny that just year ago they despise cryptocurrency(article about it) and now they are launching their own cryptocurrency
and even teaching high school students about cryptocurrency(article about it) and preparing them for it. how things have changed in just a year Cheesy Cheesy

It's not just France. There are a lot of countries who are planning the same! China, India and other BRICS  countries are also planning for it. But this doesn't change the economy for better because these are just a digital representation of the government controlled fiat currency. Earlier you used to have cash in your wallet and now you are going to carry it on your mobile wallet! That's it! Nothing drastically different!

China already have started making their own crypto currency as they shutdown bitcoin in their country. So everything is possible nowadays because of the technology that can help cryptocurrency to develop itself.

Chinese Government can now control people for them to mine their own digital currency. As they control people, they can now totally control their economy.

I think essentially most countries that are currently against crypto will go that route.

Agreed, but even then Bitcoin will still exist as an alternative for use cases countries don’t want them to be used for
maybe they are still in the stage of doing research on crypto, if it gives positive results in their research then the path chosen will be like France. a state policy must be considered in a complex manner and not just playing games because it brings a lot of people in a country and this is positive news

@acroman08 if France can successfully launch it’s centralised crypto then they’ll be forced to admit that Bitcoins is money and they may even consider legalising it. Also I’m sure many central banks will be keenly watching France move regarding their Crypto, and it’ll only be a matter of time before they too consider launching it in their countries. However France crypto may be a epic failure too because in the end of the day it’s a centralised crypto, and not a decentralised one like bitcoin.
The fact that they are launching a stable coin is good but I don't think this will lead to bitcoin being legalize there in France. They want people to use the coin that they'll be launching so if they were to legalize bitcoin which people there literally know better than any stable coin by any company or country people will just be using bitcoin alone, at least the majority of the population.

in the first article discusses about launching digital assets / money, and is not included in cryptocurrency. Just like the news about DCEP a few weeks ago. So what do they expect next? as a facilitator for crypto at a national bank? Such a drastic change in attitude makes me think that they actually really care about bitcoin.

they mean doing good policy, they hate it and then they research this technology. maybe there are some warriors there who give their knowledge about crypto and can convince the government there that finally has a good impact for now. so it's good we welcome it because we have another new place to use crypto

If France launches their stable coin, then other Franco nations will be dragged along, this will make IMF to start preaching of cryptocurrency to the world. Instead for developing nations to encourage their citizens about cryptocurrency, they are busy with a dead fiat. UK may toll the same line, the question is when America?

everything can change, hopefully it can be good news for the development of crypto, and hopefully every country soon follows the French steps to create crypto for his country, maybe the next few years crypto will develop very rapidly.

I'm sure there will be a day when a country or a major bank announces its own blockchain-backed cryptoasset. The blockchain as a technology is already so popular for database security that only time will tell =)

France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom are next to Malta which is essentially cryptocurrency island so I think we could see an "Euro Crypto" or something similar to it one day. I think it would actually reduce crime because everything asset and transaction is automatically tracked and accounted for. I am excited to see how our global economic system develops thanks to the invention of the blockchain.
