Hello ralle14, things are already in motion so even with a sponsor we will still go for Option 1. We are already developing the site etc, so with a sponsor we will just get added money to the tournament. I think there will be no sponsors for the next tipster competition as it seems that the next competition will be the option #1 which will be like a poker tournament. So the prizes come from the participant's buy in not from any sponsors. Means that the higher number of participants = higher prizes.

That's the most likely scenario for now but there's still a chance that they could get a sponsor for this because the competition won't be starting after a few months still a lot of time. I'm starting to think that if someone would sponsor this competition it might turn to option 2.

What we will try to do, is to use that option and the competition will assume that new format, but we will still try to get a sponsor for that option. They could throw in some coins to the pot, so the prizes would be more than just the players buy in (again like poker tournaments with added money).
